Abstract

The quality of service have to be started from the need of patient and ended on patient satisfaction. Nursing service can be evaluated by patient satisfaction with RATER dimension. Method: Research design was descriptive exploratorative. Research subject was 30 patients whose check in Poli Penyakit Dalam RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar, and who was selected using quota sampling technique. Collecting data was structured interviews with help the check list. The interviewer only puts the sign of Ö (check) at appropriate patient answer. Instrument of data collecting was 20 questions items based on the quality of RATER dimension. Result: The nursing service quality in Poli Penyakit Dalam RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar based on RATER dimension was in bravo position, which means what the customers got is suitable with the patient’s expectation. Discussion: To maintain and improve the quality of nursing care quality, assessment needs to be done periodically and enhanced for in-patient ward.

Abstract

Mental illness in Indonesia has a prevalence of 6% for ages 15 and over, or about 14 million people. In order to prevent the continued development of health problems related to mental disorders, family members need to be empowered and increased the ability which includes 5 basic tasks in the field of family health. The purpose of this research was to describe the empowerment of families who had a mental disorder member in UPTD Health Sukorejo. The research method used descriptive design. The population in this study was families who had mental disorder member in the District Sukorejo as many as 33 families, the sample was 30 families. The sampling technique used purposive sampling and the instrument used FES (Family Empowerment Scale) from Koren, et. all. Family empowerment said to be optimal if the average of 56.66. The results showed an average of 36.25 ± 6.110 family empowerment means empowerment of the family had not been optimal. This was possible because most of the care for people with mental disorders was maternal age> 50 years, elementary education and did not work and care for people with mental disorders for> 10 years. The study was expected health workers could provide health services in cooperation with various related parties, socializing and management of mental disorders in the community could be optimized.

Abstract

The Interdialysis Weight Gain more than 5 % of weight dry can result in negative towards patients of them hypotension , edema , shortness of breath , lightheaded and can lead to the death .Research objectives is to find interdialysis weight gain in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients. A method in this research use descriptive design .Population in this study all patients of chronic kidney disease who get hemodialisa in installation hemodialisa RSD mardi waluyo blitar are 89 peoples , uses the technique total population. Data collection is performed by measuring weight patients after hemodialisa ago and before hemodialisa next .This research result that weight gain between the two time lightweight hemodialysis 60,7%, 12,4% on average, and 26,9% of danger . Extra weight category of danger caused because patients do not adhere to diet. Recommendations from the study is expected to become an evaluation for installation hemodialisa RSD Mardi Waluyo Blitar to increase intervention on patients who get hemodialisa .

Abstract

Tubercolusis is an infection disease that can prevented through the family effort. The study purpose was to describe the family effort to prevent transmission of tuberculosis. This study was descriptive. The study population was all of family who have family members suffering of tuberculosis was record in UPTD Kesehatan Kota Blitar as many as 36 families. The sample used total population. Collecting data using questionnaires. The questionnaire filled in by family members who care for and assist the patient every day. The results showed 6% of the family effort of prevention were better category, 36% of the family effort of prevention were enough category, and 58% of the family effort of prevention were less category. Less family efforts prevention showed were that do not shut your mouth when coughing, coughing does not turn heads, discard sputum by not hoarded, not given a sputum container with liquid soap (disinfectant), and sputum container is not closed. The family efforts not supported to prevent were not drying mattress least once a week, family members not consume healthy foods, and a little consume of vitamin C. Recommended were UPTD Kesehatan Kota Blitar to provide health education of transmission Tuberculosis in the family and the improved health status of the family.

Abstract

Personal hygiene is a necessity of every person including people with mental disorder. People who are able to fulfill his needs during lives at home is family. The main personal hygiene that needs to be fulfilled is the hygiene of the body and the welfare of the physical and psychological. Research purposes was to know the family effort to fulfilling for personal hygiene of people with mental disorder. The research design used descriptive. The research population were families who have’s members with mental disorder who are registered at public health center of Kepanjen Kidul of Blitar City. Samples size were 30 families selected by purposive sampling. Time of data collected on the Mei 31st until July 30th, 2017. The result showed that the family effort was as good as 24 families (80.0%), enough as much as 5 families (16.7%), and less as much as 1 family (3.3%). Personal hygiene of person with mental disorder needs that are the needs of dress and toilet. Recommended to maintained of family efforts to fulfill of his personal hygiene need using health education by health provider.

Abstract

DOTS strategy is a short-term treatment guide with direct supervision by supervisor taking medicine for tuberculosis patients. Supervisors should know, understand, and be able to distinguish between mild and severe side effects of anti-tuberculosis drugs. The failure of Tb treatment depends on supervisor taking medicine. Currently, never been known the perception of supervisor taking medicine about tuberculosis medication side effect. The purpose of the study to know the perception of the supervisor taking medicine about side effects for clients Tb treatment program in Blitar City. The research design used a descriptive. These result studies show the perception supervisor taking medicine about the side effects as much as 54.5% is the right category and as much as 45.5% is the wrong category. The right category perception may be the supervisor taking medicine ever receive information of tuberculosis medication side effect at the public health center while take a drug. Recommendations for health workers are providing appropriate information to the supervisor taking medicine can be improved with technique counseling and training so that improve knowledge and expertise in the management of medication side effects.

Abstract

Family support covered informational support, instrumental support, emotional support, and appraisal support needed tuberculosis patients, including support of nutrition fulfillment.  The study aimed to know the correlation of information obtained and the family support to the fulfillment of nutrition of tuberculosis patients. The study used correlation design. The sample was the family of tuberculosis patient of first category who was registered to Public Health Center of Blitar city. The sample was 44 respondents selected by simple random sampling. The data collection used the close-ended questionnaire that was developed based on the theory of social support. The result showed that families who had ever received information about nutrition fulfillment was 11.4% (5 families) and had not ever received information was 88.6% (39 families); and the family support to the fulfillment of nutrition of tuberculosis patients of first category was in the category of supportive (59.1%) and non-supportive family was 40.9% (18 families). The correlation value of the Kendall Tau-b was 0.298 (p = 0.014). The family support for the fulfillment of nutrition of tuberculosis patients of first category who support was caused by the information obtained, while who did not support was caused by lack of information about the importance of nutrition fulfillment of tuberculosis patient. A weak correlation was caused by families who had received information about nutrition fulfillment for tuberculosis patients was very little, consequently the support given by the patient as a reward as a family member who was sick was also little. It is recommended that health workers at the Public Health Center give of health education regularly to the family in every drug taking.

Abstract

Children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) have difficulty of activity and readability so that dependently to a parent or others. The study purpose to describe the family role in fulfilling of the Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for children with ASD who gets service at Autism Center of Blitar City (Bahasa: Pusat Layanan Autis Kota Blitar). The study used descriptive-survey as a design to determine family roles among ASD children, the researcher purposively selected 34 families to be part of the study. Questionnaires were developed inspired by the theory of basic human needs and self-care and underwent validity and reliability tests. This study result showed that the family role in fulfilling the ADLs for children with ASD in the good category as many as 67.6% (23 families), in enough category as many as 29.4% (10 families), and in less category as many as 3.0% (1 family). Fulfillment of ADLs for children with ASD who need attention is the fulfillment of nutrition because parents must ensure that food that has entered into the mouth should be swallowed. Results also found out that inadequate nutrition affects child’s with ASD growth and development. The study strongly recommends the roles of parents as vital in meeting the needs of the children  and stimulates development.

Abstract

One indicator of hospital services is patient satisfaction related to nurses caring behaviour. The caring behaviour of nurses who provide nursing services in the Emergency Department is expected to increase the satisfaction of nursing services. The purpose of this study was to study the relationship between nurses caring behaviour with patient satisfaction receiving nursing services at the Emergency Department of Catholic Hospital of Budi Rahayu Blitar. The research design was cross sectional. Sample sizes were 80 patients who received nursing services at the Emergency Department were selected by purposive sampling. The study variables were nurse caring behaviour and patient satisfaction. Data were collected using a questionnaire. Analysis using the Spearman rank test. The analysis results obtained p = 0.000 and r = 0.618, which means there is a strong positive relationship between nurses caring behaviour with patient satisfaction. Suggestion, nurses maintain and even increase caring behaviour, especially communication skills in the orientation phase.

Abstract

Introduction : A large number of patients with chronic kidney disease suffer from uremic pruritus, which adversely affects the quality of life and comfort of patients with a potential psychological, functional and social impact, which results in increased morbidity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the administration of turmeric essential oil aromatherapy which was applied topically pruritus, comfort and quality of life of CKD patients.Methods : This study used a quasi-experimental design with 2 groups (intervention and control), conducted in CKD patients receiving hemodialysis therapy. A total sample of 72 respondents with the division of each group of 36 people. The intervention was carried out independently by the patient for 2 weeks. Measurement using 5-D pruritus scale questionnaire.Results : This study showed a decrease in pruritus scale in 51 respondents (70.8%) after 2 weeks of therapy. Independent t statistical test obtained a significance value of 0.046 (p <0.05).Conclusion: Topical aromatherapy of turmeric oil affects pruritus scale on patients with chronic kidney disease who experience uremic pruritus.
