Abstract

In poetry reading contests, it was found that the contestants had not been able to show the correct expression in accordance with the message of the poem. This fact causes the message of poetry to not be understood. Choosing the right learning strategy can lead students to find the right message according to the text of the poem. Understanding the meaning of poetry in learning is very important in adapting to learning strategies. The right learning strategy for exploring the message in poetry is the Discovery-Inquiry Learning strategy. This study aimed to analyze the application of Discovery-Inquiry Learning strategies to understand the message of poetry. The subjects of this study were third semester students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education. The research method used was qualitative, with the following learning steps. The results of the study showed that by applying the find-investigation learning strategy, (1) students were able to find physical elements associated with mental elements. (2) students were motivated to study poetry, (3) students were able to understand the message of poetry by investigating the connotative meaning of repeated words or lines.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara kualitas pembelajaran, Micro-learning, dan pembelajaran pengalaman dalam rangka mengoptimalkan pendidikan melalui pendekatan inovatif. Analisis menunjukkan hubungan positif yang signifikan di antara ketiga variabel tersebut, yang menggarisbawahi pentingnya integrasi metodologi baru dalam pendidikan. Pertama, ditemukan korelasi yang kuat antara kualitas pembelajaran dan Micro-learning (r = 0.590**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Micro-learning yang efektif mampu meningkatkan hasil pembelajaran secara keseluruhan. Kedua, korelasi antara kualitas pembelajaran dan pembelajaran pengalaman juga signifikan (r = 0.726**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menegaskan dampak positif pengalaman belajar langsung terhadap pemahaman dan penerapan pengetahuan siswa. Ketiga, Micro-learning dan pembelajaran pengalaman menunjukkan korelasi yang signifikan (r = 0.694**, p < 0.01). Hal ini menunjukkan peran saling melengkapi dalam meningkatkan pengalaman belajar yang holistik. Implikasi praktis dari penelitian ini meliputi pengoptimalan pembelajaran melalui integrasi mendalam antara Micro-learning dan pembelajaran pengalaman, yang dapat mendukung pemahaman konseptual sekaligus mengembangkan keterampilan praktis siswa. Temuan ini mendorong pengembangan kurikulum berbasis bukti untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Para pendidik dapat menyesuaikan strategi pengajaran dengan memanfaatkan Micro-learning untuk penyampaian konten yang terstruktur dan pembelajaran pengalaman untuk aplikasi di dunia nyata. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya metodologi pendidikan berkualitas tinggi untuk mencapai hasil belajar yang optimal dan mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tantangan masa depan. Penelitian lanjutan dapat mengeksplorasi dampak spesifik dari berbagai format Micro-learning serta efek jangka panjang dari pendekatan pembelajaran terintegrasi terhadap keberhasilan siswa dan kesiapan karier mereka.   The study investigates the relationship between the quality of learning, micro-learning, and experiential learning designed to improve education via innovative approaches. The analysis indicates a noteworthy positive correlation among these variables, highlighting the necessity of incorporating innovative strategies in education. A significant relationship is found between the quality of learning and micro-learning (r = 0.590**, p < 0.01), indicating that effective micro-learning improves overall learning outcomes. In a similar vein, the correlation between the quality of learning and experiential learning is noteworthy (r = 0.726**, p < 0.01), underscoring the beneficial effect of practical experiences on students' comprehension and utilization of knowledge. Additionally, there is a significant correlation between micro-learning and experiential learning (r = 0.694**, p < 0.01), highlighting their synergistic contributions to enhancing comprehensive learning experiences. The results indicate that combining micro-learning with experiential learning can enhance educational outcomes by fostering knowledge comprehension and hands-on skill acquisition. The results support the development of curriculum grounded in empirical evidence to enhance the quality of learning. Educators have the ability to customize approaches by employing micro-learning for organized content dissemination and experiential learning for practical application in real-world scenarios. This study highlights the importance of creative instructional methods in attaining the best results and equipping learners for upcoming challenges. Future studies may investigate various micro-learning formats and the enduring effects of integrated approaches on student achievement and career preparedness.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an assessment instrument for instructor candidates at PT Kita Borneo Kompeten. This development uses the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) instrument development model. This development model consists of several stages, including determining the dimensions to be assessed, collecting several dimensions that have been determined, formulating the dimensions to be assessed. Furthermore, defining each aspect, determining the scale of the dimensions to be assessed. Furthermore, conducting an assessment with the rubric that has been developed, testing, socialization. The results of this development have gone through the expert judgment stage involving evaluation experts and material experts. The results of expert review to 2 experts obtained input which was then improved by the developer. The next step is a one to one trial involving learning and operations staff at PT Kita Borneo Kompeten. The results of the one to one trial stated that the instrument could be a measuring tool to assess and collect data on the teaching skills of prospective instructors at PT. Kita Borneo Kompeten.

Abstract

Abstract: The Development of STEM-based Physics e-Workbook with Project-based Learning Activities. Objective: There are various media that are effective in helping students understand learning material at school but teachers have not used them optimally. This study aims to develop digital workbooks with a feasible and effective project-based learning approach in physics subjects. Methods: This development uses the ADDIE model which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product feasibility test was carried out through the assessment of media experts, material experts, and was tested on class VII students at SMPN 1 Bandar Lampung. Findings: The results of the effectiveness test were obtained through the pretest and posttest. The results of the due diligence by material experts and media experts obtained a proportion of reporting rates of 85.71% and 95.45% so that digital workbooks fall into the category of appropriate use. The one-to-one trial shows that digital workbooks are in the very good category with an average proportion of sales rate of 91.66%. In addition, the small group trial also showed an average proportion of the reporting rate of 89.74%, so it was included in the very good category. The results of the effectiveness test by calculating the n-gain score obtained a result of 60.8 so that the digital workbook can be said to be quite effective. Conclusion: Based on these results, it can be interpreted that STEM-based digital Physics workbooks with a project-based learning approach for junior high school students are appropriate and effective for use. Keywords: ADDIE, digital workbook, project-based learning, STEM DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v24i4.pp944-957

Abstract

This research aims to design instruction for ecosystem thematic learning with a scientific approach in fifth-grade primary school. This research used the development model of Lee and Owen (2004), consisting of the assessment, analysis, and design stages. Subjects in this research were fifth-grade primary school at SDN Pisangan Timur 11. The data was collected using observations and interviews, which showed that the learning outcomes of some students still had scores below the passing grade. In addition, the thematic ecosystem learning was not optimal; the learning media used had not helped students to understand ecosystem knowledge more deeply because it only used video support and PowerPoint from the teacher, and the learning strategies or methods used are boring too. This research concludes that learning design is possible to increase the grade of student learning outcomes. Second, the scientific approach model has the characteristics of "doing science". This approach can make it easier to improve the learning process.

Abstract

Abstrak : Kurikulum Merdeka menekankan pentingnya pembelajaran yang fleksibel, bermakna, dan menyenangkan, dengan mengedepankan pendekatan belajar mendalam (deep learning). Namun, masih banyak guru sekolah dasar yang mengalami kesulitan dalam mengimplementasikan pendekatan ini, terutama dalam pengembangan buku ajar cetak yang kontekstual dan sesuai kebutuhan peserta didik. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada guru-guru SD di Kecamatan Bekasi Barat dalam menyusun buku ajar cetak yang memfasilitasi belajar mendalam. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan buku ajar cetak yang mengintegrasikan pendekatan belajar mendalam (deep learning) yaitu meaningful learning, mindful learning, dan joyful learning. Evaluasi reaksi menunjukkan tingkat kepuasan yang tinggi terhadap pelatihan, sedangkan hasil post-test mencerminkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta secara signifikan. Kegiatan ini menjadi langkah awal dalam memperkuat kompetensi profesional guru dan mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka di tingkat sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: Kurikulum Merdeka, Buku Ajar Cetak, Belajar Mendalam, Pelatihan Guru SD, Pengabdian Masyarakat Abstract: The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of flexible, meaningful, and enjoyable learning by prioritizing a deep learning approach. However, many elementary school teachers still face challenges in implementing this approach, particularly in developing contextual printed textbooks that meet students’ needs. This community service activity aimed to provide assistance to elementary school teachers in the West Bekasi District in designing printed textbooks that facilitate deep learning. The evaluation results indicated an improvement in participants’ knowledge and skills in developing printed textbooks that integrate elements of deep learning, namely meaningful learning, mindful learning, and joyful learning. Reaction evaluation showed a high level of satisfaction with the training, while post-test results reflected a significant increase in participants’ understanding. This activity serves as an initial step in strengthening teachers’ professional competencies and supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at the elementary school level.
