Abstract

Using work discipline as a mediating variable, this study investigates how competency, training, and leadership style affect employee engagement at Dinas Perumahan dan Kawasan Permukiman Kota Binjai. PLS-SEM, or partial least squares structural equation modeling, was the quantitative method employed in the study. Non-civil servant (non-ASN) employees who actively participate in the day-to-day activities of the department were among the respondents. According to the study, employee engagement was significantly impacted by competency, training, and leadership style. The relationship between these three distinct elements and employee engagement is strengthened by work discipline, which serves as a mediator. These findings suggest that improving employee engagement can be achieved through effective leadership, relevant training programs, enhanced employee competence, and the reinforcement of work discipline. The practical implication of this study is that organizations should implement integrated managerial strategies to create a productive, disciplined, and highly committed workforce

As an authority managing a Super Priority Tourism Destination, BPODT demands high professionalism and synergy in executing its coordinative and authoritative functions. The research methodology employed is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 BPODT employees. Instrument testing was conducted through validity and reliability tests, while hypothesis testing utilized t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination tests.Research findings indicate that partially, Intrinsic Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with 27.05 and significance 0.000. Conversely, Transformational Leadership partially does not significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.243. However, simultaneously, both variables significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.981 demonstrates that Intrinsic Motivation and Transformational Leadership contribute 98.1% to the employee performance variable, while the remaining 1.9% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. In conclusion, although leadership does not independently drive performance, the synergy between employees' internal motivation and strategic leadership direction serves as the primary key to organizational success in achieving Lake Toba tourism development targets.

Abstract

The research analysis aims to analyze the organizational culture and work environment on employee performance at the Medan Perjuangan District Office. The data analysis technique used is the associative research method with the help of the SPSS version 23 program. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis. The sample in this study was 100 respondents. Primary data collection used a questionnaire. The results of the study indicate that the organizational culture variable has a t count of 3.651 and a t table of 1.984723, so t count > t table (3.651 > 1.984723) with sig. 0.000 < 0.05 so that the results of the study accept H1. It can be explained that the organizational culture variable (X1) influences the employee performance variable of the Medan Perjuangan Sub-district Office. The work environment variable has a t count of 2.345 and a t table of 1.984723, so t count > t table (2.345 > 1.984723) with sig. 0.021 < 0.05 so that the results of the study accept H1. It can be explained that the work environment variable (X2) influences the employee performance of the Medan Perjuangan Sub-district Office. The value obtained is f count = 92.290 > f table 3.09 with sig. 0.000 < 0.05. So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted. Where the variables of organizational culture (X1) and work environment (X2) simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of employees at the Medan Perjuangan District Office.
