Abstract

In the era of rapid digital technology development, profound changes are taking place in culture, business, and education. The digital innovation era demands individuals to possess skills that align with the needs of the time, and Vocational High Schools (SMK) play a crucial role in preparing the younger generation to face the challenges of a complex job market. Graphic design skills are becoming increasingly crucial in an environment inundated with digital devices and evolving applications. Despite the rising demands of industries, there remains a gap between educational curricula and market requirements. Therefore, the initiation of graphic design training in SMK becomes a pivotal step in bridging this gap, enabling students to develop digital skills and comprehend the value of technology. Graphic design skills play a central role in visual communication and various industries. This training imparts the usage of software like Adobe Photoshop and CorelDRAW, along with fundamental design principles. Through final projects, students can apply skills in original design, with their resulting works showcasing inspiring transformations of creativity. This training initiative also holds the potential to foster students' interest in the field of graphic design and alter their perceptions of learning. This program reflects educational adaptation to technological advancements, equipping students with skills relevant to industry demands. Thus, graphic design training at SMK Nurul Yaqin significantly contributes to nurturing students' digital innovation potential for an increasingly digital and creative future ABSTRAK Pada era perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat, perubahan mendalam terjadi dalam budaya, bisnis, dan pendidikan. Era inovasi digital menuntut individu memiliki keterampilan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman, dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) memegang peran penting dalam mempersiapkan generasi muda menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja yang kompleks. Keterampilan desain grafis menjadi semakin krusial dalam lingkungan yang dibanjiri perangkat digital dan aplikasi yang berkembang. Meskipun tuntutan industri meningkat, kesenjangan antara kurikulum pendidikan dan tuntutan pasar masih ada. Oleh karena itu, inisiasi pelatihan desain grafis di SMK menjadi langkah penting untuk mengisi kesenjangan tersebut, memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan keterampilan digital dan memahami nilai teknologi. Keterampilan desain grafis memainkan peran sentral dalam komunikasi visual dan berbagai industri. Pelatihan ini mengajarkan penggunaan perangkat lunak seperti Adobe Photoshop dan CorelDRAW serta prinsip dasar desain. Melalui proyek akhir, siswa dapat menerapkan keterampilan dalam desain orisinal, sementara hasil karya mereka membuktikan transformasi kreativitas yang menginspirasi. Inisiasi pelatihan ini juga memiliki potensi untuk mendorong minat siswa dalam bidang desain grafis dan mengubah persepsi mereka terhadap pembelajaran. Program ini mencerminkan adaptasi pendidikan terhadap perkembangan teknologi, membekali siswa dengan keterampilan yang relevan dengan tuntutan industri. Abstract

Bahan baku pembuatan kue umumnya berasal dari tepung terigu yang sebagian besar merupakan barang impor dan mahal, sehingga kelompok mitra hanya membuat kue berdasarkan pesanan. Produksi kue yang tidak kontinu menyebabkan pendapatan yang rendah dan tidak pasti. Untuk mendukung keberlanjutan proses usaha di Amanda Jaya, diperlukan modifikasi bahan baku pembuatan kue dari tepung jagung. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mengenalkan teknologi pengolahan dan pengemasan cookies dari tepung jagung lokal untuk meningkatkan nilai guna dari jagung lokal serta berdaya saing. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan praktik yang terdiri dari (a) penyuluhan tentang produksi makanan sesuai Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), (b) praktik pembuatan cookies dari tepung jagung lokal, (c) penyuluhan tentang teknologi pengemasan dan pelabelan produk. Para peserta belum mengetahui standar GMP menggunakan prinsip Cara Pembuatan Makanan yang Baik (CPMB) dalam proses pembuatan kue, namun lokasi produksi kue sudah baik. Cookies dikemas menggunakan toples plastik dan aluminium foil dan diberi label “Jalo Cookies” (jagung lokal cookies) supaya lebih menarik. Cookies dari 100% tepung jagung mempunyai rasa yang bisa diterima, namun peserta tidak terlalu menyukai teksturnya karena terlalu kasar dan mudah pecah. Rencana selanjutnya adalah memodifikasi komposisi tepung jagung dengan tepung terigu pada resep.

Abstract

Limited water availability and soil organic matter are the main causes of low dry land productivity and are the main challenges in efforts to develop them. Green mustard plants, which have a short harvest period and are quite adaptable to the environment, are suitable for development in dry land and are expected to reduce the risk of crop failure due water deficit. One source of organic material that is easily available at the farmer level is cow dung manure. This fertilizer is also able to help provide nutrients, increase the availability of moisture and microorganisms in the soil. It is hoped that the combination of the use of cow dung manure with mustard plants can be an afternative solution and efforts to increase the productivity of dry land. The research aims to determine the possibility of using cow dung as a source of organic fertilizer in the cultivation of green mustard on dry land. The research is based on a Randomized Block Design consisting of nine treatments with four replications. Treatments included a combination of different ages of seedlings without cow dung manure as a control; difference in seed age with 7.5 tons Ha-1 of cow dung manure and difference in seed age with 15 tons Ha-1 of cow dung manure. The data obtained were analyzed using variance and if there were significant differences, it was continued with the HSD test at the 5% level. The research result showed that applying cow dung manure can increase the growth and yield of green mustard on dry land. Seedlings aged 10 days after showing combined with the addition of 15 tons Ha-1 of cow dung manure can produce a fresh weight of 21.15 tons Ha-1 or 95.56% of the average potential productivity

Abstract

Padi merupakan tanaman yang menghasilkan sumber makanan pokok masyarakat Indonesia. Produksi padi menurun karena semakin sempitnya lahan pertanian, oleh karena itu dilakukan pemanfaatan lahan rawa untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Peningkatan produksi padi di lahan rawa memerlukan inovasi teknologi budidaya sistem tanam jajar legowo 4:1 dengan penerapan jarak tanam dan pemberian pupuk organik cair. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair yang tepat terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi di lahan rawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Percobaan Petak Terbagi dengan petak utama jarak tanam (A) dan anak petak konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (B). Variabel pengamatan meliputi fase vegetatif, fase generatif dan komponen hasil tanaman padi. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kombinasi perlakuan jarak tanam dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair A3B3 (30X30cm dan 10 ml/L) berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi pada sistem tanam jajar legowo 4:1 di lahan rawa pasang surut dengan potensi hasil sebesar 7,68 ton/ha.

Abstract

The drying method is the most important step in maintaining levels active compound in the sample. This study aims to determine the effect drying method against levels of active compounds of grinting grass (Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.). Drying methods include sun drying and cabinet drayer. The results showed that the drying method in plants reduced the extractive gain from the levels of active compounds including flavonoids, polyphenols, steroids, terpenoids, alkaloids and saonins. Simplicia drying method gave a significant effect (p<0.05) on the extraction of the active compound content of grinting grass (Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers.). Based on the two drying methods, the highest levels of active compound extractive were obtained in the cabinet drayer method compared to the drying method using sunlight.

Abstract

Farmer groups in Trebengun Village are starting to have concerns about the reduction of subsidized fertilizers from the government which has an impact on crop production. On the other hand, most of the people of Trebungan have cattle that produce solid manure waste. Cow manure waste has not been used so far and has become an environmental pollutant in Trebungan Village. Cow manure waste is one of the materials that contains quite high nitrogen content. This condition can be a solution to meet the fertilizer needs of farmer groups. The purpose of the service activity is to process cow dung waste into solid organic fertilizer. Service activities consist of: a) Socialization, b) Assistance in fertilizer manufacturing practices, and c) Product feasibility evaluation. The manufacture of organic fertilizer made from cow dung is enriched with Local Microorganisms (MOL) to improve the quality and quality of fertilizer. The service activity runs for 3 months. The obstacle experienced during the manufacture of organic fertilizer is the inaccurate dosage of microorganism and water solutions applied to cow manure. However, the Farmer Group and the University of Jember Service Team can make organic fertilizers that are in accordance with national quality standards.

Abstract

Pengaturan sitem tanam merupakan salah satu bentuk intensifikasi budidaya yang paling mudah dilakukan guna meningkatkan produktivitas dan kualitas jagung semi. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui perubahan karakter morfologi, fisiologi dan hasil tanaman jagung semi pada tiga sistem tanam yang berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan pola dasar Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri atas tiga perlakuan dengan sembilan ulangan. Perlakuan berupa bentuk sistem tanam yang terdiri atas tiga taraf yaitu: S1 (sistem tanam baris tunggal) ; S2 (sistem tanam jajar legowo 2:1); S3 (sistem tanam jajar legowo 3 : 1). Data pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan sidik ragam dan apabila terdapat perbedaan nyata dilanjutkan dengan uji BNJ taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem tanam belum mengubah karakter morfologi batang dan daun jagung semi kecuali sudut daun tengah dan bawah tetapi telah mengubah kadar klorofil dan kerapatan stomata daun sebagai indikator fisiologi. Perbedaan sistem tanam tidak mempengaruhi berat segar tongkol semi per tanaman tetapi berpengaruh pada berat segar tongkol semi per petak dan sistem tanam jajar legowo 2:1 menghasilkan berat segar tongkol semi per petak paling tinggi.

Abstract

Gubuk Pustaka Ndalung is an alternative educational community for children and teenagers around Limbungsari Village, Ajung District, Jember Regency. Gubuk Pustaka Ndalung programs were focused on learning, playing, and creating activities. Alternative education is taught to students in formal and non-formal education. The literacy of active students in the Ndalung Library Huts about agriculture is still limited because the type of formal education provided is generally about general knowledge. Introduction to plants through hydroponic technology is important to grow a love for agriculture from an early age. The introduction and practice of hydroponic technology using a simple wick system is expected to increase students’ interest in plant cultivation and also the students' awareness of protecting the environment from waste that is difficult to degrade in the soil.

Abstract

Probolinggo and Lumajang districts are two regions in East Java that have horticultural villages with the potential to develop fruit and vegetable crops. Efforts to develop horticultural villages in the region need to be made to achieve the realization of horticultural villages that are independent and advanced, more modern and have high competitiveness. This socialization and development activity aims to increase understanding of horticultural farmer groups regarding efforts to develop horticultural villages in both regions in accordance with the standards of horticultural villages that are independent and advanced and have sales value, provide guidance and training to horticultural village farmers regarding the cultivation of horticultural plants and processing of products accordingly. commodities developed in each region, explore several factors that influence the level of success and sustainability of the horticultural village development program in the sampling area, obtain input regarding recommendations for improving programs or activities carried out in each sampling horticultural village using descriptive and quantitative analysis . Horticultural farmers' understanding regarding the development of horticultural villages in the Probolinggo and Lumajang districts is still low and does not meet the standards of horticultural villages that are independent and advanced and have sales value. Efforts to develop horticultural villages in the Probolinggo and Lumajang districts show positive developments in several commodities, while for annual fruit commodities, factors that influence the sustainability indicators of the horticultural village development program. Apart from that, there are factors such as the quality of the farmer group's human resources and the involvement of stakeholders which greatly influences the sustainability of the development of horticulture villages. Efforts to develop horticulture villages require the provision of facilities and assistance with production facilities, infrastructure and guidance on post-harvest handling, processing, market development and the development of farmers' economic institutions.

Abstract

Pulosari is one of the villages that is the place for the implementation of the Community Service Program Back to Village 2020 Universitas Jember. The main target of the Community service program is Gibrellyn L. Stea who is a member of the InsyaAllah Tani organization. This organization is engaged in semi-organic vegetable cultivation. The problem faced by target in the business being carried out is the lack of management applied, which causes profit opportunities to decrease and even loss. This problem became the basis for select topic in this community service program, application of agribusiness management in semi-organic vegetable farming in Pulosari Village. The purpose of this program is that business actors can apply agribusiness management properly so that no profit opportunities are wasted and can improve business management methods to make them better and more organized. This program had been taken on 1st of July until 14th of August 2020. The method used to achieve the objectives in this program is structured in several programs including the socialization of the application of agribusiness management and the direct application of management to semi-organic vegetable farming. The result of this community service is that the target is to better understand the importance of management and know how to better manage the business, thus the opportunity for benefits to be obtained in the future will be greater.
