Abstract

Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) are agricultural commodities with high economic value with good nutritional content. Its cultivation in Jumantoro Village, Jumapolo District, Karanganyar Regency, has great potential because it is supported by suitable natural conditions. However, farmers and MSMEs still face obstacles in the use of manual equipment and less than optimal marketing, so product innovation is needed to increase the added value and competitiveness of oyster mushrooms in the market. As a solution, a mentoring program was introduced with the culinary innovation of oyster mushroom nuggets. This activity includes surveys and interviews with MSMEs, transfer of cultivation knowledge, and production practices. Nuggets were chosen because their texture resembles chicken meat, making them an economical and healthy food alternative. Production is carried out at the MSME's Mushroom House with a systematic method to ensure quality. The results of the mentoring showed a positive response from MSMEs and the community, both in terms of economy and product acceptance. In addition to increasing local income, this program also provides direct experience for students in understanding mushroom cultivation and processing. By optimizing local potential, innovation in processed oyster mushroom products can be a sustainable strategy in supporting village economic growth.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students' learning interest at SMA Negeri 15 Bone. This study used a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The research population consisted of 373 tenth-grade students, from which a sample of 34 students was drawn using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire covering four indicators of the independent variable (group cooperation, individual responsibility, interaction and communication, and learning engagement) and four indicators of the dependent variable (enjoyment, involvement, interest, and attention), which were validated through product-moment correlation and Cronbach's Alpha (.836 for the Jigsaw variable and .846 for learning interest). The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, and simple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS 26. The results showed that the implementation of the Jigsaw model fell into the fairly good category (M = 65.29; SD = 4.98), while students' learning interest fell into the good category (M = 74.41; SD = 4.08). The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 29.061 + 0.695X, indicating an effect on students' learning interest. These findings suggest that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model is an effective alternative strategy for enhancing students' learning interest at the senior high school level.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between teacher instructional strategies and student learning interest in senior high school classrooms. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed involving 32 tenth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using Likert-scale questionnaires measuring teacher instructional strategies and student learning interest, supported by school documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, simple linear regression, and partial significance testing. The descriptive findings indicate that both teacher instructional strategies and student learning interest were categorized at high levels. Regression analysis produced the equation Y = 26.048 + 0.369X, with a significance value of 0.005, indicating a statistically significant positive relationship between the two variables. These findings suggest that students tend to demonstrate stronger interest in learning when teachers employ more varied, engaging, and student-centered instructional strategies. The study highlights the importance of instructional strategy selection in creating learning environments that sustain student attention, participation, and interest. The findings also provide practical implications for teachers seeking to improve classroom engagement through more adaptive and responsive instructional practices.

Abstract

Extracurricular activities provide students with opportunities to develop discipline, leadership, character, and active learning habits beyond formal classroom instruction. Scout extracurricular activities are particularly relevant because they combine experiential learning, teamwork, responsibility, and character formation that may be associated with students’ motivation to learn. This study examines the relationship between participation in Scout extracurricular activities and student learning motivation in an Islamic senior high school context. A quantitative ex post facto design was employed involving 48 students who actively participated in Scout activities, with all members of the population included through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed through descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, normality and linearity testing, and simple linear regression analysis. The findings indicate a positive and statistically significant relationship between Scout extracurricular participation and student learning motivation, with a significance value below 0.001. The regression model produced the equation Y = 30.049 + 0.488X, while the coefficient of determination of 0.364 indicates that Scout extracurricular participation accounted for 36.4% of the variance in student learning motivation. These findings suggest that structured extracurricular participation is associated with stronger learning motivation and may support schools in fostering discipline, responsibility, engagement, and positive learning attitudes through experiential activities.
