Abstract

The article focuses on the integration of Islamic values and Indonesian nationalism as interpreted by Hamka. In contemporary Indonesian society, there is a recurring tension between religious values and national identity, often resulting in societal discord and fragmented national unity. The purpose of this study is to analyze and elucidate Hamka’s perspectives on the harmonization of Islamic teachings and Indonesian nationalism. By examining Hamka’s works and thoughts, the study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of how Islamic values can coexist and support the principles of Indonesian nationalism. The method used in this research is a descriptive-analytical method with an integration and interconnection approach. The primary data used in this research are Hamka's works. At the same time, the secondary data in this research are books, journal articles, and other websites that discuss Hamka's thoughts. The results showed that in applying and integrating Islamic values in the frame of nationality and Indonesianness, Hamka divided it into three main thoughts. First, Islam and the vision of humanity. The vision of Islam is a religion for all mankind and humanity and religion for the next generation, so that religious da'wah is sustainable, renewed, and emphasized to oneself the family, and society; Second, nationality and freedom. The spirit of nationality arises from true faith and does not break away from the roots of "tawhid"; Third, Indonesianness and welfare.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of developing students' character amidst the challenges of the times, as well as the need for a deeper understanding of the implementation of the youth wirid program as part of efforts to strengthen religious character education. This research aims to determine how to plan, implement and evaluate the program to enhance religious character education through youth wirid activities at SMA Negeri 2 Lengayang, Pesisir Selatan Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the research show that teenage wirid activities, which include congregational midday prayers, religious lectures, tahfidz Al-Qur'an, infaq, and attendance, effectively foster religious values ​​such as discipline, responsibility, tolerance, and love for Islamic teachings. Evaluations carried out regularly help encourage the improvement and development of activities. The youth wirid program makes a significant contribution in shaping students' religious character.

Abstract

Negara yang ideal pada hakikatnya adalah suatu keluarga, sehingga dalam suatu negara semua bersaudara. Karenanya setiap warga negara haruslah bersikap kekeluargaan yang mencerminkan adanya kerukukunan dan keharmonisan, baik di kalangan elite pemerintahan maupun rakyatnya. Mirisnya, Negara telah dijadikan alat untuk memuaskan keinginan bagi para penguasa. Yang menjadi fokus permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana bentuk  negara ideal menurut Ali Abdul Raziq? Dan apa relevansi negara ideal Ali Abdul Raziq terhadap pancasila di Indonesia?Tulisan ini adalah hasil studi pustaka. Penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dan penalaran deduktif. Negara ideal menurut Ali Abdul Raziq ialah negara yang berasaskan humanisme universal yang memperjuang-kan rakyatnya, demokrasi dan keadilan sosial, yaitu negara sekuler bagi kaum muslimin dan non muslim yang hidup di negara itu. Sementara relevansi pemikiran negara ideal Ali Abdul Raziq dengan Pancasila adalah jika nilai-nilai demokrasi, keadilan sosial berasaskan humanisme yang harus diberikan kepada setiap manusia tanpa memandang label agamanya, maka negara ideal yang dimaksud Ali Abdul Raziq relevan dengan filosofi Pancasila sebagai dasar negara Indonesia. Indonesia bukan negara sekuler dan juga bukan negara agama, tetapi berada di tengah-tengah, yaitu nilai-nilai agama diintegrasikan ke dalam hukum negara.

Abstract

Rendahnya kualitas guru di Indonesia mengindikasikan bahwa program pengembangan profesionalisme guru yang ada saat ini belum mencapai bentuk yang ideal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program kampus mengajar dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme guru prajabatan guna menjembatani kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik. Pertanyaan wawancara terbuka digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dari sebelas guru prajabatan, dua pengawas, dan dua kepala sekolah yang terlibat dalam program kampus mengajar dengan penempatan pengalaman profesional selama tiga bulan di sekolah dasar yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun program kampus mengajar mengalami berbagai tantangan, program ini dapat digunakan oleh para guru prajabatan untuk meningkatkan profesionalisme mereka dengan berbagi dan menerima pengalaman. Program kampus mengajar menawarkan pengalaman nyata dan otentik bagi para guru prajabatan dalam membimbing siswa, melaksanakan berbagai tugas administratif, dan belajar di tempat kerja, sehingga mereka memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang realitas kehidupan sekolah.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital media and the surge of misinformation have created a profound epistemological crisis that challenges established notions of truth and knowledge. This study analyzes the reconstruction of truth in the post-truth era, in which emotional narratives and ideological biases frequently outweigh empirical evidence. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, the research explores the implications of post-truth dynamics for epistemic authority, public trust, and digital literacy. Primary and secondary sources including academic literature, books, and peer-reviewed articles on epistemology and digital media are examined to provide a comprehensive theoretical framework. The findings indicate that misinformation is often fueled by emotional persuasion, algorithmic personalization intensifies ideological polarization, and diminishing institutional credibility accelerates epistemic relativism. These conditions collectively weaken society’s capacity to distinguish reliable information from falsehoods. The study concludes that reconstructing truth in the digital age requires a multidimensional strategy that integrates robust digital literacy, transparent media practices, and strengthened epistemic responsibility. Such an approach is essential to restoring informed judgment, rebuilding trust, and safeguarding the integrity of knowledge in contemporary public discourse.

Abstract

This paper is motivated by the problem of education development in Indonesia in the contemporary era, which overemphasizes competitive aspects but ignores aspects of multiculturalism and feminist ethics. This is certainly not in line with the principles of diversity that are embraced and will have an impact on the formation of characters that are exclusive, radical, give birth to various other socio-cultural deviations, and are not gender-friendly. This study aims to investigate the idea of multicultural education based on feminist ethics from Marilyn Friedman's point of view and assess its applicability to Islamic education in Indonesia. Employing a descriptive-analytical approach, the research draws primarily on Marilyn Friedman’s philosophical works, complemented by secondary sources such as books, academic journal articles, and relevant online materials discussing her ideas. The findings indicate that feminist ethics provides strong support for contemporary educational orientations that increasingly emphasize multiculturalism. Friedman conceptualizes this approach through several key stages: first, the articulation of feminist ethical justifications as the normative foundation of multicultural education; second, the continued integration of feminist ethics within multicultural curricula, emphasizing that multicultural education should actively address gender-based oppression, subordination, and marginalization rather than merely promoting awareness of diversity; and third, the necessity of critically resisting forms of moral arrogance originating from patriarchal, cultural, or religious frameworks in order to enhance the quality and inclusivity of multicultural education.

Abstract

This article focuses on development plans through education and local wisdom in the Mandeh Tourism Area, South Pesisir Regency, Indonesia. The research methods used in this study were desk study, participatory qualitative method through focus group discussions (FGD), and direct observation at the research site. The results of this study describe several points, namely: an analysis of the empowerment and local wisdom of the Mandeh Nagari community, and an analysis of the development potential of the Mandeh Tourism Area. The recommendation from this study is that education and empowerment of local wisdom are very strategic in encouraging the growth and sustainability of the Mandeh area as a leading tourist destination that provides greater benefits in terms of culture and economic perspective and must involve the active participation of the community, the private sector, the central government, the regional government, and the Nagari government.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: In this article, the crisis of authority of science in the post-truth era is analyzed in a dialogical reflection between the science studies of Bruno Latour and the Islamic metaphysics of Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. The context of the investigation is rooted in the challenge of public confidence in science, hoax information, as well as the rising impact of ideology rather than facts in decision-making. This article has a twofold purpose: first, to analyze with a comparative-hermeneutic dialogical approach the works of Latour and al-Attas, considering both philosophical backgrounds despite differences in scholarship, in relation to the challenge of science credibility; second, considering an in-depth review of both Latour’s science studies and al-Attas’ metaphysical thinking in an Islamic context. Articles in refereed journals, books, among other literature sources focusing on science education, science epistemology, as well as literature on Islamic thought, have been used in analyzing information in this article. The results of the analysis have shown commonalities between both Latour’s perspectives and al-Attas’ metaphysical thoughts in relation to a new vision emphasizing the reintegration of science into a metaphysical view. Latour requires a reassembly of science through the agency of a network model of socio-material actors, whereas al-Attas promotes the Islamization of knowledge on the basis of ta’dib and the Islamic worldview. In the conclusion, the current paper finds that there is a potential for a more nuanced and holistic approach through the dialogical encounter between the two models for addressing the problem of the crisis in the legitimation of science.ABSTRAK: Artikel ini mengkaji krisis epistemologis otoritas sains di era post-truth melalui refleksi dialogis antara studi sains Bruno Latour dan metafisika Islam Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah merosotnya kepercayaan publik terhadap sains, maraknya misinformasi (hoax), serta meningkatnya pengaruh narasi ideologis dan emosional dibandingkan bukti empiris. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menelusuri bagaimana Latour dan al-Attas, meskipun berasal dari tradisi filsafat yang sangat berbeda, secara kritis merespons krisis kredibilitas sains dan menawarkan kerangka epistemologis alternatif. Dengan menggunakan metode hermeneutik-dialogis dan komparatif, kajian ini menganalisis karya-karya utama kedua pemikir tersebut yang dikontekstualisasikan melalui literatur kontemporer tentang pendidikan sains, epistemologi, dan pemikiran Islam. Data penelitian diperoleh dari jurnal ilmiah, buku, dan literatur lainnya yang membahas pendidikan sains, krisis post-truth, dan Islamisasi ilmu. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik Latour maupun al-Attas sama-sama mengkritik modernitas dan menekankan pentingnya mengembalikan sains ke dalam kerangka etika dan metafisika yang lebih luas. Latour menyerukan penyusunan ulang sains melalui jaringan aktor sosial-material, sementara al-Attas menggagas Islamisasi ilmu yang berlandaskan pada ta’dib dan pandangan hidup Islam. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa pertemuan dialogis antara kedua kerangka ini dapat menawarkan respons yang lebih kaya dan holistik terhadap krisis legitimasi sains, serta mengarah pada epistemologi yang tidak hanya menekankan pengetahuan, tetapi juga kebijaksanaan dan makna.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of interfaith tolerance values in SMA Negeri 1 Padang, identify forms of interfaith tolerance values education programs, and analyze supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of these values. The method used is a qualitative method with field research and a qualitative descriptive approach. The data sources in this study consist of primary and secondary sources, namely the principal of SMA Negeri 1 Padang, the Deputy Head of Curriculum, the Deputy Head of Public Relations, Islamic Religious Education and Citizenship Education teachers, and nine students from various religious backgrounds. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data is tested using triangulation techniques of sources, time, and techniques. Overall, the results of the analysis show: First, SMA Negeri 1 Padang has succeeded in creating an inclusive environment and social interaction between students from various religious backgrounds takes place in an inclusive and harmonious manner. Second, the school organizes programs such as interfaith discussions, increasing insight into diversity, diversity seminars, socialization of tolerance values, and social services. These programs are effective in increasing students' understanding and solidarity towards diversity. Third, supporting factors in the implementation of tolerance values include: school policies that support diversity, the active role of teachers and parents, and good social relations between students, and there are several inhibiting factors such as the introverted character of students and potentially offensive joking interactions. Overall, the school has shown significant efforts in forming a tolerant and harmonious environment amidst diversity. The researcher recommends that SMA Negeri 1 Padang can be an example in implementing tolerance values between religious communities in the school environment
