The purpose of this study is to obtain a description concerning the application of the right discipline influences and the pastor’s role model towards the faithfulness of the pastor’s children to God. This study uses the descriptive method by giving a questionnaire to the pastor’s children whose parents serve as the pastor at the Jakarta Local Conference Seventh Day Adventist Church with 108 samples of pastor’s children aged from 15 years old randomly determined. The results show that most of the pastor’s children had a good perception of the application of the right discipline that must be started early and the role model of the pastors towards the faithfulness of pastor’s children to God. The expected implication is that the pastor and his whole family can be a good example for the church community in particular so as not to be a bad impact on the spiritual growth of the congregation.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang penerapan disiplin yang benar dan peran keteladanan pendeta terhadap kesetiaan anak-anak pendeta kepada Tuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan memberikan angket kepada anak-anak pendeta dimana orang tua mereka melayani di Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh (GMAHK) Konfrens DKI Jakarta dengan sampel 108 orang anak-anak pendeta dengan usia 15 tahun keatas yang ditentukan secara acak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar anak pendeta memiliki persepsi yang baik mengenai penerapan disiplin yang benar yang harus dimulai sejak dini, dan bahwa pendeta harus menunjukan keteladanan melalui pola hidup bukan hanya melalui pengajaran, sehingga melalui penerapan disiplin yang benar dan peran keteladanan seorang pendeta akan mempengaruhi peningkatan kesetiaan anak-anak pendeta kapada Tuhan. Implikasi yang diharapkan adalah agar pendeta dan seluruh keluarganya dapat menjadi teladan yang baik bagi masyarakat gereja secara khusus agar tidak menjadi dampak buruk bagi pertumbuhan kerohanian jemaat.

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of parents in maintaining the legacy of their children's faith and loyalty, through the existence of Christian religious education in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic restriction situation. Parents need to grow their children's loyalty and faith in the midst of the current covid-19 pandemi situation, so that children can still feel God's presence through their form of faith and loyalty, even though they have to worship at their respective homes. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The data sources are books, journals, Bibles, commentaries, and other sources that can be justified academically. From the results of this study, Christian religious education has a major contribution through the role of parents in maintaining children's faith and loyalty while limiting worship activities during the covid-19 pandemic by implementing PAK through morning and evening worship at home, reading God's Word using detailed methods. and skimming, meditation, and praying individually, in groups, as well as providing spiritual learning through online media

The spiritual impact of pandemic Covid-19 is almost felt by every church in Jakarta. In addition to the closure of place of worship, the quality of service to reach each member who survived the pandemic needs to be maintained. Pastor as spiritual leaders in the congregation ought to be wise and creative in dealing with this phenomenon. This research is the result of development of online service that is being carried out by the author as a Pastor at Menteng Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jakarta in order to maintain the spiritual life of the congregation during the pandemic Covid-19. A quantitative approach by taking into the results of observations on the program that are currently being run is expected to help ministers in the congregation to develop consistency and quality of the program. With the advancement of technology in today’s era, the challenge of developing quality in online service to be a blessing for church members is possible. And the results of this development program are not only helping a Pastor to be able to create spiritual programs for the congregation, but more broadly the church can grow spiritually

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana partisipasi karyawan melalui keterlibatan karyawan dan budaya organisasi spiritualitas untuk meningkatkan kinerja. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian explanatory causal dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan kuesioner. Respondennya adalah karyawan di Kantor Konferens Jawa Barat yang berjumlah 102 karyawan. Sampel menggunakan random samping dengan teknik pengukuran menggunakan Slovin maka jumlah sampel sebesar 50 karyawan. Data diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS 23. Hasilnya adalah terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara keterkaitan karyawan terhadap kinerja karyawan dan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara budaya organisasi spiritualitas terhadap kinerja karyawan.

The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted the financial structure of church members. The dilemma when it comes to paying offerings and tithing or making a living. Based on this dilemma gap, the purpose of this study is to describe the offerings and tithes of the Natar district congregation and to analyze the faithfulness of church members in paying tithes and offerings. This research method was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique used were financial data from the church treasurer about offerings and tithes giver. The first stage was to create a data graph to see the giving unit and the second stage was analyze the economic situation of the congregation and the level of faithfulness of the congregation. The results of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic research increase the faith of church members through the provision of integrated offerings that increase during the pandemic and the giving of tithes given every month. Evidence of increased faith is that they are more enthusiastic and active in preaching the gospel.

The purpose of this research was to find out the importance of pastoral care for young people who are in the quarter life crisis phase. The method used is a survey with data collection techniques using questionnaires distributed to respondents and interviews. The sample used is non-probability sampling using the quota sample method. The number of questionnaires collected was 43 from the population of young people between 18-30 years of age. The results showed that some respondents agree that pastoral care is important for young people who were in the quarter life crisis phase. Some respondents of young people claimed that they needed pastoral accompaniment and trust the pastor's guidance and advice. However, there were still some of young people who feel they did not need pastoral care. This had the potential to cause problems when they went through the quarter life crisis phase.

The events of death that God allows make very deep sorrow, even frustration and despair in life. This is triggered by ignorance about the real condition of the dead. From this background, the purpose of this study is to explore the knowledge of the congregation about the condition of the dead based on John 11:11 and 13, after which the data obtained will be analyzed and finally a final conclusion will be drawn. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach. The data collection technique was using a questionnaire and distributing it to the members of the Minahasa Congregation of Minahasa GMAHK congregation. The number of samples used is 70% of the adult members totaling 119 people, then the sample taken is 83 people. The results of the questionnaire were used to analyze the understanding of church members about death as sleep. The result of this research is that the Tincep Minahasa congregation has an understanding that people who die are like sleeping people and will rise again when Jesus comes the second time, not an understanding that the dead have spiritual life in another world.

This essay aims to find a correlation between the life example of the head of the household who acts also as a leader of the congregation and the growth of the Church. The author uses the statement in 1 Timothy 3:5 as the basic text, as well as the main inspiration for this description. The methodology used by the author in this research is a literature study. The author develops the topic of discussion by reviewing books, scientific articles, and other literature that discussed the same topic. Based on the analysis of the text of 1 Tim 3:5 the author emphasizes the importance of a church leader who is proven to be responsible for household affairs, namely being able to manage his own house and meet the needs of family members. The reputation of the Church in the development of the congregation will depend on the example of the church leader in managing his own household and his congregation.

The essay deals with the so-called Marari Sabtu in the Parmalim tradition as a bridge for the Christian mission to Parmalim followers. The starting point is the fact of similarity in terms of worship day between the Parmalim tradition and the biblical testimony, namely the observance of Sabbat. Parmalim observes the tradition of “Marari Sabtu”, which is a weekly worship ceremony to worship Debata Mulajadi Nabolon, and worship takes place every Saturday. The research question is: Can the similarity in terms of worship day be a bridge for evangelism for Permalim followers? This paper shows that Paul's method to the Athenians can be a model for evangelization efforts for Parmalins. It means that an effort to contextualize faith can be carried out for Parmalim followers by starting from the Marari Sabtu tradition.

The Lord's Supper is a sacred ecclesiastical ceremony and this is the example set by Jesus. The Holy Communion is a symbol of the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross for the purpose of human salvation. The Holy Communion ceremony is not just an ecclesiastical event but has spiritual meanings such as: a memorial of God's mercy, a higher form of cleansing, a fellowship of forgiveness, is God's command, and contains God's blessing. This study uses a qualitative literature study method that describes descriptively the meaning of the Holy Communion according to the view of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and the results of this study are so that everyone can better understand the meaning of the Holy Communion ceremony so that they can further build spiritual faith and understand the meaning of Jesus' sacrifice which is symbolized through the ceremony.
