Education is understood as the institution creating human resources capable of making a better society in facing social change. However, education becomes the object of social change when education must submit to the development of the industrial world. The hidden curriculum is taught to prepare human resources to fulfil the market’s needs. Education is prepared to work for people who have capital as known terminology, capitalism. The growth of technology and its equipment make education a private and expensive institution economically, whereas unfortunate people cannot participate. Therefore, it creates incapable human resources to fill the free-market vacancy, and religious education is placed in the midpoint. The inequality of supply in human resource skills towards the demand for working space forms the unstable demand and supply curves. As a result, the shifting curve of the Short-Run Aggregate Supply of human capital moves toward supporting capitalism to stand still. Through the sociological approach, the perspective emic discovers the problematic fundamental for religious education is facing a social change. The dilemma of religious education leads to legitimate the path of capitalism in the education area (or market). The result revisits religious education to bring the equilibrium point between the product and the quality of human resources in a new form of academic capitalism by transferring religious values based on local wisdom and integrating curriculum between religious and non-religious subjects.

The purpose of this study was to examine the role of parents in maintaining the legacy of their children's faith and loyalty, through the existence of Christian religious education in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic restriction situation. Parents need to grow their children's loyalty and faith in the midst of the current covid-19 pandemi situation, so that children can still feel God's presence through their form of faith and loyalty, even though they have to worship at their respective homes. The research method used is a qualitative method with a literature review approach. The data sources are books, journals, Bibles, commentaries, and other sources that can be justified academically. From the results of this study, Christian religious education has a major contribution through the role of parents in maintaining children's faith and loyalty while limiting worship activities during the covid-19 pandemic by implementing PAK through morning and evening worship at home, reading God's Word using detailed methods. and skimming, meditation, and praying individually, in groups, as well as providing spiritual learning through online media

The spiritual impact of pandemic Covid-19 is almost felt by every church in Jakarta. In addition to the closure of place of worship, the quality of service to reach each member who survived the pandemic needs to be maintained. Pastor as spiritual leaders in the congregation ought to be wise and creative in dealing with this phenomenon. This research is the result of development of online service that is being carried out by the author as a Pastor at Menteng Seventh-day Adventist Church in Jakarta in order to maintain the spiritual life of the congregation during the pandemic Covid-19. A quantitative approach by taking into the results of observations on the program that are currently being run is expected to help ministers in the congregation to develop consistency and quality of the program. With the advancement of technology in today’s era, the challenge of developing quality in online service to be a blessing for church members is possible. And the results of this development program are not only helping a Pastor to be able to create spiritual programs for the congregation, but more broadly the church can grow spiritually

The Covid-19 virus pandemic has changed the order of people's lives, especially church members. This change presents an acclimatization of a new habit where digital media, especially gadgets, are considered as the main alternative in the implementation of online worship to reach the people. But in reality, people are unwittingly faced with serious problems, because the impact of electromagnetic wave radiation is very risky to health if used beyond a certain threshold or tolerance. This study aims to provide an understanding of the importance of health and encourage the church to play an active role in fortifying the people against the negative impacts of complex radiation of electromagnetic waves, from a biblical perspective in I Corinthians 3:17. By using qualitative _descriptive method in the form of literature review which refers to the situation that is currently happening and is expected to continue. In the end, the church can broaden the understanding to the people of the importance of using digital media properly without worrying about the potential adverse effects on health

Penggunaan rajah tubuh atau tato di kalangan orang Kristen di Kota Kinabalu telah menjadi polemik. Ada yang menganggap tato sebagai tindakan ekspresi seni, bahkan untuk menunjukkan identitas diri sebagai orang Kristen, dengan menggunakan simbol kasih, salib, merpati, gambar Yesus dan ayat Alkitab. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan eksplorasi untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas apakah ada titik paralel dari sudut etika antara merajah tubuh dan firman Tuhan dengan menggunakan Imamat 19:28 sebagai dasar pembahasan. Metode yang yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dalam memahami tato sebagai ekspresi seni atau antitesis firman Tuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada titik paralel antara penggunaan tato dengan Imamat 19:28 yang melarang dengan tegas perbuatan merajah tubuh. Nasihat rasul Paulus dan rasul Petrus dalam Perjanjian Baru juga tidak memihak kepada pemakai tato yang dikatakan dapat merusakkan tubuh yang merupakan bait suci Roh Kudus. Apa yang dibutuhkan adalah bimbingan yang ramah dari gereja terhadap mereka yang memakai tato dan bukan penghakiman. Larangan penggunaan tato perlu digunakan melalui khutbah, seminar dan KKR agar dapat dipahami dengan tuntas oleh umat Kristen. Sesungguhnya, perhiasan yang sejati bukanlah perhiasan secara lahiriah, tetapi perhiasan batiniah yang tersembunyi iaitu sikap, karakter dan perilaku yang penuh kesopanan dan kesederhanaan.

As Christians the purpose of our worship is to glorify God's name, God-centered worship should be where God is glorified, regardless of the human factor. The purpose of worship is not only to receive blessings from God, but also to give offerings to God.

Interfaith marriage is a scourge that cannot be avoided at this time. Many couples have already been married to people who are not of the same religion as them, which in the end have to face many risks as a result of interfaith marriages. This is a special concern for the Seventh-day Adventist Church because the consequences of interfaith marriages will be able to affect the happiness of the family and the growth of the faith of the couple themselves. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview and understanding to church members on the importance of pastoral counseling for married couples of different religions in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In this study, the method used was qualitative followed by literature study, by collecting data through books and articles related to pastoral counseling. The results of this study indicate that pastoral counseling is a method that can help church members to be able to cope with stress levels and the risk of unhappiness in domestic life, and can also help young couples who are still dating different religions to understand and understand the risks that will occur when they are married. proceed to marriage. Until finally they can choose and get out of the problems they face.

The background of this research is based on the moral crisis that occurred in an Adventist Christian high school. The purpose of the study was to identify the effect of moral decadence on character education and counseling guidance, as well as the effect of character education on counseling guidance. This quantitative research uses structural equation modeling (SEM). The data collection technique used random proportionate cluster sampling, with 553 students from three schools as the sample. The results of the study have an effect on positive moral decadence on character education and counseling guidance. Meanwhile, character education has a negative effect on counseling guidance. In conclusion, inconsistent character education results in moral decadence which requires students to do counseling, so character education must focus on one day-to-day rather than focus on student mistakes so that the process is consistent. Abstrak Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada krisis moral yang terjadi di sekolah menengah Kristen Advent. Tujuan penelitian untuk meng-identifikasi pengaruh dekadensi moral terhadap pendidikan karakter dan bim-bingan konseling, serta pengaruh pendidikan karakter terhadap bimbingan konseling. Penelitian kuantitatif ini menggunakan pemodelan persamaan struk-tural (SEM). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan random propor-sionate cluster sampling, dengan 553 siswa dari tiga sekolah sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkann bahwa dekadensi moral berpengaruh positif ter-hadap pendidikan karakter dan bimbingan konseling. Sementara pendidikan karakter berpengaruh negatif terhadap bimbingan konseling. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan karakter yang inkonsistensi mengakibatkan dekadensi moral yang mengharuskan siswa melakukan bimbingan konseling, sehingga pendidikan karakter harus berfokus kepada situasi sehari-hari daripada fokus mencari kesalahan siswa agar prosesnya konsisten.

The goal of this research is to describe, first, the sense of ownership variable affects involvement in service. The second is the influence of the spirituality variable on involvement in service. The third is the effect of pastoral care on involvement in ministry. Fourth, whether the variables of belonging, spirituality and pastoral assistance have an influence on involvement in service. This study uses a stratified random sampling technique with 110 correspondent the Seventh Day Adventist congregation in Batam. The data that was successfully filtered through the validity test and the classical assumption test were processed to make the regression analysis equation as follows: Y = Â 0.249 X1 + 0.135 X2 + 0.132 X3 + 10.866. Where variable Y is involvement in ministry, variable X1 is sense of belonging, variable X2 is spirituality, and variable X3 is pastoral care. Hypothesis testing using the t-test proves that separately and simultaneously the sense of belonging, spirituality and pastoral care that have been studied have an effect on the involvement of church members in ministry. Hypothesis testing using the F test also proves that the variables of belonging, spirituality and pastoral assistance to the service involvement variable are 46.8%, and the rest there are other factors that influence 53.2% which were not examined.Â Keywords: Sense of belonging, Spirituality, Pastoral care, Church minister

Throughout its history, quality management has been an important factor in the success of an organization, both in the business world and in the world of education, government, politics, health and religion. There are many leaders in this world, but there are not many leaders who are good and have character. To have a model for the character of a leader we can find in the Bible and antecedents dedicated to the larger community. The purpose of this study is for every leader and prospective leader to emulate biblical figures and their predecessors so that their leadership is ultimately successful. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods through literature analysis and observations related to leadership character and performance. To become a leader with achievement and character, the leader can imitate the leadership model of the Bible and secular world leaders who have proven their leadership and influence on the lives of the people they lead. Characters that can be emulated from them are piety, loyalty, honesty, humility, holding fast to God and having integrity
