Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran TPS (Think-Pair-Share) pada materi segiempat. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari tiga siklus yang setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-8 SMP Negeri 18 Bandung yang berjumlah 33 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara, observasi, tes kemampuan pemahaman matematika, dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul kemudian diolah dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa persentase ketuntasan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa pada siklus I berada pada kriteria sedang, pada siklus kedua mengalami peningkatan meskipun masih tetap pada kriteria sedang, dan pada siklus ketigapun mengalami peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi. Sehingga penerapan model pembelajaran TPS (Think Pair Share) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematika siswa.Kata Kunci: Pemahaman Matematis, Penelitian Tindakan Kelas, Think Pair Share.

Abstract

Abstrak. Productive disposition siswa perlu dikembangkan. Selain itu, terjadinya revolusi industri 4.0 dan society 5.0, juga adanya pandemi Covid-19 menuntut penggunaan e-learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pencapaian productive disposition siswa SMP yang memperoleh pembelajaran full e-learning, blended learning dan direct instruction dengan memperhatikan kemampuan awal matematis siswa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain faktorial . Subjeknya 91 orang siswa SMP di Bandung. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket productive disposition dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Anova 2 Jalur dilanjutkan uji Tukey HSD dalam menguji perbedaan pencapaian productive disposition siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan pencapaian kemampuan productive disposition siswa yang memperoleh full e-learning, blended learning, dan direct instruction. Siswa dengan KAM tinggi, sedang, dan rendah memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan pencapaian productive disposition. Siswa KAM tinggi memiliki kemampuan productive disposition yang paling baik, diikuti oleh siswa KAM sedang dan rendah. Selain itu, model pembelajaran dan KAM secara bersama-sama tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan productive disposition siswa. Agar e-learning terimplementasikan dengan baik, perlu sarana dan prasarana yang menunjang, bahan ajar yang menarik dan interaktif, juga sistem e-learning yang dapat memonitor aktivitas siswa.Kata Kunci: Blended Learning, Direct Instruction, E-Learning, Productive Disposition

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan kepada mahasiswa Pusat Pengajian Ilmu Pendidikan di Universiti Sains Malaysia bertujuan untuk memberi pemahaman terkait konsep dasar metodologi penelitian yang dapat mereka gunakan untuk memenuhi kelulusan mata kuliah laporan penelitian sederhana. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 10 orang mahasiswa program sarjana dari berbagai program studi di Pusat Pengajian Ilmu Pendidikan (PPIP) yang dipilih oleh pihak Universiti Sains Malaysia. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan pendampingan dalam pembuatan proposal penelitian. Instrument yang digunakan yaitu berupa pretest dan posttest terkait kemampuan metodologi penelitian yang hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil pretest dan posttest menunjukan adanya peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa mengenai metodologi penelitian.

Abstract

Dalam rangka mempersiapkan generasi abad 21, literasi digital menjadi hal yang penting bagi guru dan peserta didik. Tujuan dari workshop ini untuk melatih guru dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi Android dan menggunakan aplikasi yang bernama Mastering Math. Bahan ajar berbasis aplikasi Mastering Math dipakai sebagai media pembelajaran dan pemahaman pada mata pelajaran matematika. Peserta pelatihan sebanyak 20 orang guru Matematika SMP dan SMA yang dipilih oleh Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, praktik, dan pendampingan. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu berupa angket kepuasan dan kebermanfaatan peserta terhadap pelaksanaan workshop dan tugas membuat bahan ajar dan menggunakan Mastering Math. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa workshop berbasis Mastering Math menggunakan Android sangat signifikan terbukti efektif dapat meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat bahan ajar berbasis Android dan memanfaatkan aplikasi Mastering Math

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena banyaknya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dari mahasiswa yang masih rendah, faktor yang menyebabkan kemampuan komunikasi matematik rendah karena pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas terlalu monoton atau terpusat pada dosen, motivasi belajar yang masih rendah dari mahasiswa dan latar belakang jurusan asal sekolah yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu Untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari asal jurusan sekolah serta untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau asal jurusan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif (mix method). Sampel yang dianalisis sebanyak 68 orang mahasiswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data berupa tes uraian dan wawancara. Hasil tes uraian dianalisis untuk menentukan kemampuan komunikasi matematisnya dan hasil wawancara dianalisis untuk tingkat motivasi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, hasil kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI lebih baik dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau dari asal jurusan sekolah serta terdapat perbedaan motivasi yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran ekspositori ditinjau asal jurusan sekolah.

Abstract

There is a change in how teachers teach and students learn, which was initially done face-to-face at school, but now can be done online. The use of interactive learning media still needs to be improved due to the need for mastery of technology owned by teachers. Many teachers still need to understand practical learning applications for teachers and students. Students become less interested in participating in distance learning activities due to the limited use of various applications. So PKM activities were held as training workshops for making Edpuzzle-based teaching materials. The workshop was held for four days and involved 236 participants from various regions in Indonesia, such as Samarinda, Pekanbaru, and several areas in West Java. The activity method is divided into three steps: 1) preparation, 2) implementation, and 3) evaluation. Evaluation results based on questionnaire data show that 71% of teachers are assisted in monitoring student learning progress, and teachers can implement their work into learning.

Abstract

The aim of this study is the development of teaching materials for statistical materials based on Edmodo-assisted e-learning and how they impact students' mathematical literacy skills. The method used is the Dick & Carey development model. The research population is class XII Catering, one of the Vocational High Schools in Bandung City, with a sample of class XII Catering 1. The instrument used a mathematical literacy test, validation sheet, student response questionnaire, and interview guidelines. The data collected were analyzed descriptively qualitatively through triangulation, Q-Cochran statistical test, and N-Gain test. The results of this study indicate that the design of teaching materials for statistical materials based on Edmodo-assisted e-learning is very feasible to use in learning mathematics. Furthermore, the results of the application of teaching materials have a positive effect on mathematical literacy skills with a reasonably good category. Therefore, teaching materials must further develop animation, use communicative language, and utilize the latest technology

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the basic sciences that has an important role in the development of science and technology. In the world of education, thinking skills need to be developed in the learning process, especially to solve mathematical problems (Hanany and Sumaji, 2020). Numeracy ability is a person's intellectual ability that involves systematic and logical thinking processes in carrying out arithmetic operations (Gunur, 2018). Investigation of students' numeracy abilities is an important thing to do. By analyzing the learning process and the results of students' numeracy abilities, it can be seen what students' numeracy abilities are. Therefore, it is necessary to use a learning model that can improve the ability to solve numeracy problems, one of which is the application of differentiated learning that can accommodate students' needs. The research method used is a qualitative literature study, which analyzes findings from various previous studies. The research results show that differentiated learning not only increases students' learning activities and outcomes, but also increases students' learning motivation. Statistical analysis of these studies also increases the effectiveness of differentiated learning in students' numeracy abilities

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce e-learning-based ethnomathematical teaching materials and analyze students' problem-solving abilities when students learn to use ethnomathematical-based teaching materials that have been developed. This research is the development of R&D (Research & Development) involving 30 students of SMK MVP Ars International Bandung by applying the Plomp model. The stages of the Plomp model are initial investigation, design, realization, evaluation and revision, and implementation. So, instruments are material validation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and problem-solving ability tests. This research's data analysis uses the Chocran, average comparison, and N-gain tests. The results of this research are: (1) SPLDV teaching materials in e-learning-based Ethnomathematics are classified as feasible on the evaluation of material, and media experts, as well as student responses, (2) Problem-solving abilities used in e-learning, are included in the high category. In this way, SPLDV teaching materials in e-learning-based ethnomathematics mean that students are more interested in learning and can be a reference for teachers in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This training is motivated by the advantages of canva as a graphic design tool that facilitates the creation of engaging and effective digital teaching materials. With its intuitive features, Canva offers an innovative solution for developing educational content that can enhance student engagement, highlighting the need for teacher training. This training aims to enhance teachers' skills in using Canva to create appealing and interactive instructional materials and evaluate its impact on the quality of educational content. The training involved 51 participants, consisting of mathematics teachers within the scope of the West Bandung Regency Education Office and students from the Master of Mathematics Education program. The method used was Participatory Action Research, involving the active participation of participants in the learning and evaluation process. The training was conducted in a hybrid format, combining face-to-face and online sessions for greater flexibility and wider reach. Evaluation results indicated that teachers' ability to create teaching materials using Canva significantly improved, with an average score above 80. Discussion of the results revealed that this training was effective in enhancing teachers' skills and had a positive impact on the quality of instructional materials. This activity concludes that the Canva training successfully achieved its objectives, although challenges such as time constraints and access issues need to be addressed. Recommended follow-up actions include enhancing technical support and extending the training duration to maximize benefits for participants in the future.
