Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa adalah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Active Learning tipe Quiz Team. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan mendeskripsikan keefektifan penerapan model ini terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Pangkep. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen dengan desain One Group Pre-test-Post-test Design. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Simple Random Sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan mencakup tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata gain ternormalisasi siswa adalah 0,79, yang masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Uji hipotesis menggunakan One Sample T-Test menghasilkan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,025), yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model pembelajaran Quiz Team. Dari hasil observasi, sebanyak 80,92% siswa aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan angket respons menunjukkan 90,18% siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap model pembelajaran ini. Kesimpulannya, penerapan model Quiz Team dalam pembelajaran matematika efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Pangkep.

Abstract

The psychological well-being of students is very important to create a good and productive learning environment. In an effort to provide SMAS Hang Tuah Makassar teachers with a better understanding of the concept of mental health and strategies to improve it in the learning environment, a seminar on Psychological Well Being of Students in the learning process was held. Participants gain a broad understanding of the factors that influence students' psychological well-being, the role of teachers in creating a supportive environment, and methods and approaches that are useful for improving psychological well-being. The results of the pre- and post-test evaluations showed that the teachers understood and comprehended this concept better after attending the seminar.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra dalam kegiatan ini adalah rendahnya pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) dalam mengoptimalkan permainan tradisional sebagai media pembelajaran kontekstual di sekolah dasar. Berdasarkan kondisi tersebut, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan berbasis pengalaman langsung kepada mahasiswa agar mereka mampu mengenali, memainkan, serta memodifikasi permainan tradisional menjadi media ajar yang mendukung pengembangan nilai-nilai karakter dan pembelajaran tematik. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara partisipatif melalui tiga tahapan utama, yaitu penyampaian materi, praktik langsung, dan refleksi edukatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya antusiasme yang tinggi dan partisipasi aktif dari mahasiswa selama pelatihan berlangsung. Mahasiswa tidak hanya memahami nilai-nilai edukatif yang terkandung dalam permainan tradisional, tetapi juga mampu mengaitkannya dengan mata pelajaran yang relevan di sekolah dasar. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis dan kesadaran kultural mahasiswa PGSD

Abstract

This study aims to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)–assisted digital Student Worksheet (LKPD) to improve junior high school students’ understanding of mathematical concepts on fraction material. The development followed the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The resulting product is a web-based worksheet accessible via QR code, equipped with animations, videos, interactive images, and an AI chatbot as a virtual tutor. Validation by material experts and media experts produced an average score of 88.2%, categorized as highly valid. A limited trial involving 20 seventh-grade students showed an improvement in learning outcomes with an N-Gain score of 0.65 (medium–high category). Students’ responses to the digital worksheet were also highly positive, with an average score of 3.56 across the aspects of attractiveness, ease of use, clarity of material, and usefulness of AI features. These findings indicate that the AI-assisted digital worksheet is feasible and effective as an innovative learning medium to enhance motivation and conceptual understanding of mathematics among junior high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between basic mathematical knowledge and spatial ability in map reading among students of the Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) program enrolled in the Social Studies Education course. The research is grounded in the importance of integrative learning in teacher education, where students are expected to connect cross-disciplinary concepts, particularly between mathematics and social studies. Mastery of mathematical concepts such as scale, distance, and coordinate systems is assumed to be closely related to spatial skills in interpreting map representations. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The population consisted of 434 PGSD students from the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Makassar, with a minimum sample of 81 students determined using the Slovin formula at a 10% margin of error. Data were collected through multiple-choice objective tests measuring basic mathematical knowledge and spatial map-reading ability. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank correlation (ρ) due to non-normal data distribution. The results revealed a positive and significant relationship between basic mathematical knowledge and spatial map-reading ability among PGSD students (ρ = 0.556; p < 0.001; effect size = 0.627). These findings indicate that mastery of basic mathematical concepts contributes to enhancing students’ spatial ability in reading and interpreting maps. Therefore, this study highlights the importance of adopting an integrative learning approach between mathematics and social studies to strengthen the numerical and spatial literacy of future elementary school teachers.
