Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Self-Organized Learning Environments (SOLE) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SD Kristen Tounwawan. Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan subjek 9 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 41,11 (pretest) menjadi 53,88 (siklus I) dan 79,44 (siklus II). Persentase ketuntasan meningkat dari 22,22 % (pretest) menjadi 66,66 % (siklus I) dan 100 % (siklus II). Dengan demikian, penerapan Model Pembelajaran SOLE efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran orang tua sebagai mitra guru dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan cara deskriptif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 10 orang tua siswa dan 14 siswa kelas III SD Negeri 202 Maluku Tengah. Teknik analisis data bersifat induktif melalui tiga alur yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peran orang tua untuk memberikan motivasi dalam meningkatkan minat belajar sangat baik. Setelah melalui tahap wawancara berdasarkan indikator yang pertama yakni peran orang tua sebagai motivator dengan presentase 80 % dengan demikian peran orang tua sangat penting guna meningkatkan minat belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil angket pada indikator pertama terhadap 14 orang tua dan 14 siswa, diperoleh rata-rata peran orang tua sebagai motivator sebesar 89.9% (kategori sangat baik) menurut persepsi orang tua, dan 82.6% (kategori baik) menurut persepsi siswa. Indikator kedua, diperoleh rata-rata peran orang tua sebesar 87.9% (kategori sangat baik) menurut persepsi orang tua dan 81.3% (kategori baik) menurut persepsi siswa. Indikator ketiga, diperoleh rata-rata peran orang tua sebesar 88.9% (kategori sangat baik) menurut persepsi orang tua dan 82.4% (kategori baik) menurut persepsi siswa.

Abstract

The aim of this study research is to determine the application of the Make a Match type cooperative learning model to improve social studies learning outcomes regarding geographical conditions in Indonesia for class V students at SD Kartika XIII-1 Ambon. This research use a type of classroom action research. Researcher conducted an initial test to obtain information on the extent of student abilities in mastering the learning material. The average score of students initial test results was 33, 37%. This shows that class V students at SD Kartika XIII-1 Ambon have not yet reached the specified minimum completeness criteria (KKM). In general, the average class score for student in cycle I was 53, 38% and the average for the final test in cycle test was 81, 75%. The application of make a match type cooperative learning model to improve student cognitive learning outcomes has shown an increase in each cycle. This can be seen from the level of student in improving learning outcomes through tests given at the end of each cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the discovery learning model in improving students' social skills. In this study using a quantitative descriptive with one group pre-test and post-test designs, while the data collection technique used a questionnaire. Furthermore, the data obtained was analyzed using the N-Gain Formula to determine the improvement of social skills through questionnaires. The results showed that there were significant variations in the level of mastery of social skills between indicators and between assessment categories (SS, S, TS, STS) with the highest average percentage in the Agree (S) category with 15.2%, followed by Strongly Agree (SS) by 17.7%, then Strongly Disagree (STS) by 8%, and the lowest was Disagree (TS) by 6.2%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning styles on learning motivation of third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Latihan SPG Ambon. The background of this research is based on the diversity of learning styles of students (visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic) that have not been fully accommodated in learning, as well as the low learning motivation experienced by some students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative research type. The sample in this study were all third grade students as many as 36 people, who were selected using simple random sampling technique. Data were collected through a learning style questionnaire and a learning motivation questionnaire before and after treatment, and supported by observation and documentation. Based on the results of the study showed a significant effect of learning style on learning motivation (sig. 0.000 <0.05). The average motivation increased after learning adapted to visual, auditorial, and kinesthetic learning styles

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik melalui penerapan Model Pembelajaran Interaktif dengan pendekatan kooperatif (PISK) pada mata pelajaran IPS kelas IV SD Negeri Letwaru. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Letwaru dengan subjek sebanyak 13 siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes tertulis. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa. Pada tes awal, hanya 4 siswa (31%) yang mencapai KKM. Pada siklus I jumlahnya meningkat menjadi 6 siswa (46%), dan pada siklus II kembali mengalami peningkatan hingga 12 siswa (92%) yang tuntas sesuai KKM. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran interaktif setting kooperatif (PISK) memberikan dampak positif terhadap pembelajaran IPS, khususnya pada materi keragaman suku bangsa dan budaya di kelas IV SD Negeri Letwaru.

Abstract

21st-century education demands the development of students' emotional intelligence as a foundation for academic success and psychological well-being. Preliminary observations at SD Negeri 1 Rumah Tiga revealed that fifth-grade students had low abilities in recognizing their emotions, empathizing, and building positive social relationships due to conventional learning that had not optimally developed social-emotional aspects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the discovery learning model in social studies to improve students' emotional intelligence. This quantitative research involved 32 fifth-grade students as the sample. The instrument used was an emotional intelligence questionnaire with a 4-point Likert scale with a Cronbach's Alpha reliability value of 0.872. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Data analysis employed the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and N-Gain test. The results showed an increase in mean emotional intelligence scores from 61.25 (pretest) to 78.40 (posttest), with an improvement of 17.15 points. All emotional intelligence indicators improved significantly: self-awareness (60.5% to 77.1%), self-management (58.2% to 75.2%), motivation (64.5% to 82.0%), empathy (56.6% to 74.2%), and social awareness (59.6% to 76.2%). It can be concluded that the discovery learning model effectively improves students' emotional intelligence through systematic learning syntax including stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and drawing conclusions. This model is recommended as an alternative for social studies learning that comprehensively develops students' cognitive and emotional aspects. ABSTRAK Pendidikan abad ke-21 menuntut pengembangan kecerdasan emosional siswa sebagai fondasi keberhasilan akademik dan kesejahteraan psikologis. Observasi awal di SD Negeri 1 Rumah Tiga menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan siswa kelas V dalam mengenali emosi diri, berempati, dan menjalin hubungan sosial positif akibat pembelajaran konvensional yang belum optimal mengembangkan aspek sosial-emosional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model discovery learning dalam pembelajaran IPS untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional siswa. Penelitian kuantitatif ini melibatkan 32 siswa kelas V sebagai sampel. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket kecerdasan emosional skala Likert 4 poin dengan nilai reliabilitas Cronbach's Alpha 0,872. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan skor rata-rata kecerdasan emosional dari 61,25 (pretest) menjadi 78,40 (posttest) dengan peningkatan 17,15 poin. Seluruh indikator kecerdasan emosional meningkat signifikan: kesadaran diri (60,5% menjadi 77,1%), pengelolaan diri (58,2% menjadi 75,2%), motivasi (64,5% menjadi 82,0%), empati (56,6% menjadi 74,2%), dan kepedulian sosial (59,6% menjadi 76,2%). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model discovery learning efektif meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional siswa melalui sintaks pembelajaran sistematis yang mencakup stimulasi, identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, pengolahan data, pembuktian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Model ini direkomendasikan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran IPS yang mengembangkan aspek kognitif dan emosional siswa secara komprehensif.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in social sciences, especially in the material of cultural traditions in Indonesia, are often caused using learning models that do not encourage students' independence in exploring the material. This study aims to examine the effect of the self-directed learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at Elementary School 2 Latihan SPG Ambon in the social studies subject of cultural traditions in Indonesia. Method: This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. Data collection techniques include written tests, observation, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through instrument validity and reliability tests, as well as prerequisite tests that include normality and homogeneity tests. Hypothesis testing is conducted to ascertain the significant impact among variables. The results of the study indicate that the self-directed learning model has a significant effect on improving student learning outcomes. This improvement is evidenced by the rejection of H0 and acceptance of Ha through the acquisition of a significance value of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance level of 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05). Descriptive analysis strengthens the finding that the application of this model effectively encourages better academic achievement. This research contributes to teachers' selection of innovative, student-centered learning models to improve the quality of social studies instruction in elementary schools. Furthermore, these results serve as a reference for schools in their efforts to increase the effectiveness of their independent learning-based curriculum.
