Abstract

This research was conducted due to the low ability of students to speak, including in presenting responses to review texts by considering structure and oral aspects. Factors causing this include a lack of confidence in expressing main ideas in front of the public, as well as the ineffectiveness of teaching methods used by educators. One teaching method that can improve students' self-confidence is expressive writing therapy. This study used a quasi-experimental method with pre-test and post-test designs and a control group. The research results showed that students' abilities improved in presenting responses to review texts by considering structure and oral aspects. There was an increase in the average pre-test score from 27.50 to 83.35 in the post-test for the experimental class. There was a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental class and the control class, with an average post-test score of 85.35 for the experimental class compared to 41.62 for the control class.

Abstract

This research was conducted due to the low ability of students when writing poetry texts, which was caused by a lack of self-confidence, difficulties when choosing words, and the use of less creative learning methods by educators. One of the learning methods that can increase students' creativity is the contextual teaching and learning (CTL) method. The purpose of this study was carried out to evaluate the ability of researchers when conducting research and applying the CTL method when learning to write poetry texts, students' abilities when writing poetry, students' abilities when writing poetry using the CTL method, as well as comparisons of students' abilities before and after being given contextual method treatment teaching and learning. The research method used was an experiment with a true experimental pretest-posttest control group design. The results of this study indicate that; 1) the researcher succeeded in carrying out learning to write poetry texts using the CTL method with a value of 37.2. 2) the condition of the students before being given the CTL method treatment. 3) the condition of the students after being given the CTL method. 4) differences in students' abilities before and after being given the CTL method treatment.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low skills and interest of students to write and Indonesian language learning becomes boring, less interesting, and seems monotonous because of the selection of models and media that are not appropriate. This research aims to describe: (1) how students learn to write explanatory texts in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School before using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media; (2) how students learn to write explanatory texts in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School after using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media; (3) the difference in the ability to write explanatory texts of students in Class VIII SMP Bimasena School in the experimental class and control class using the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media. The method used, namely pure experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The results of this study, namely: (1) the value of experimental class students has not met the minimum completeness criteria that have been determined before applying the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media, this can be proven from the average value and recapitulation of the value that the average pretest of the experimental class is 17.3; (2) the value of experimental class students has met the predetermined minimum completeness criteria after applying the problem-based learning model assisted by articulate storyline media, this can be proven from the average value and recapitulation of the value that the average posttest of the experimental class is 86.5; (3) the experimental class has a higher value compared to the control class after receiving treatment, this can be proven from the recapitulation of the pretest and posttest and seen from the results of the independent sample t-test test, the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001 <0.05.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in writing review texts. The factors that cause this is the lack of confidence to pour ideas, ideas thoughts into writing, as well as the ineffectiveness of the learning methods used by educators. One of the learning method that can improve students' ideas and thoughts is the brainwriting method. The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of students in learning to write element-oriented review texts using the brainwriting method assisted by silent film media and to compare the differences in the ability of students in experimental and control classes in learning to write element-oriented review texts using the brainwriting method assisted by silent film media.This research uses a quasi-experimental method with an pre-test and post-test design. The results showed that students' abilities improved in learning to write review texts oriented to the building blocks. There was an increase in the average from 26.5 to 91.4 in the experimental class pretest. There is a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students in the experimental and control classes, with an average post-test score of 91.4 while the control class is 44.1.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini yakni kemampuan peserta didik tingkat menengah yang masih kesulitan dalam menulis teks persuasif yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya penggunaan metode dan media sebagai penunjang proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Kemampuan peserta didik Kelas VIII di SMP Pasundan 1 Bandung sebelum dan sesudah menerapkan metode picture and picture berbantuan media digital wordwall dalam pembelajaran menulis teks persuasif. Mendeskripsikan perbedaan kemampuan dalam menulis teks persuasif antara peserta didik yang menerapkan metode picture and picture berbantuan media digital wordwall dengan peserta didik yang menerapkan metode think pair share. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen semu dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu sebelum menerapkan metode picture and picture berbantuan media digital wordwall dalam pembelajaran menulis teks persuasif, peserta didik belum mampu membuat teks persuasif, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 36,4. Sedangkan sesudah menerapkan metode picture and picture berbantuan media digital wordwall dalam pembelajaran menulis teks persuasif, peserta didik mampu membuat teks persuasif, hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata sebesar 85,3. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan peserta didik Kelas VIII SMP Pasundan 1 Bandung dalam pembelajaran menulis teks persuasif dengan menerapkan metode picture and picture berbantuan media digital wordwall dibandingkan dengan menggunakan metode think pair share (TPS). Dilihat dari pengujian mann whitney-u dengan perolehan nilai Aysmp.sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students in reading comprehension of advertising texts. The purpose of this research is to test the ability of researchers to plan lessons by applying the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in teaching reading comprehension of advertising texts; to describe students' abilities before using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read comprehension of advertising texts; to describe the ability of students after using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read comprehension of advertising texts; as well as to describe differences in abilities in learning to read and understand advertising texts among students in the experimental and control classes. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method. The results of this study proved that researchers were able to plan, implement, and assess the application of flipbook-assisted problem-based learning models in teaching reading comprehension of advertising texts. This is evident from the acquisition of a score of 38 with an average of 3.8 for the experimental class, while for the control class it was 40 with an average of 4. Before using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model, students' ability to read and understand advertising texts was still lacking. Good. This is evident from the results of the pretest score with an average of 67.4. The ability of students after using the flipbook-assisted problem-based learning model in learning to read and understand advertising texts increased. This is evident from the results of the posttest score with an average of 83.4. There is a significant difference in learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of this study, the researchers concluded that the application of the problem-based learning model was effectively used in teaching reading comprehension of flipbook-assisted advertising texts.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to write. The purpose of this research is to test the writer's ability to plan, implement, and assess learning to write exposition texts focusing on the structure of the text using the mind mapping method for students in class VIII SMP Sumatra 40 Bandung City; to test the ability of class VIII students of SMP Sumatra 40 Bandung City in writing exposition texts focusing on text structure; to test the effectiveness of the mind mapping method in learning to write exposition texts in class VIII students of SMP Sumatra 40 Bandung City; and to find out the differences in the ability to write exposition texts between students in the experimental class and the control class. In practice the author uses quantitative methods. The data obtained were in the form of pretest and posttest of students from both the experimental class and the control class. The results of this study: 1) The author is able to plan, implement, and evaluate learning to write exposition texts focusing on the structure of the text using the mind mapping method with an average planning score of 3.8 and an average implementation score of 3.9, included in the category Very good. 2) The ability of students in writing exposition texts has increased with an average score of pretest(64.88) (fair category) to posttest (90.36) (very good category). 3) The mind mapping learning method is effectively used in learning to write exposition texts. This is evidenced by the results of the man whitney-u test which revealed the results of Sig. there is a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the explanation above, the mind mapping method (concept map) can be used as an effective alternative learning method in writing exposition texts.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan, termasuk dalam dunia pendidikan. Salah satu inovasi yang mulai diterapkan adalah pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana integrasi teknologi digital dapat mendukung proses kreatif siswa dalam menulis naskah drama, serta untuk mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam penerapannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu sekolah menengah atas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen hasil karya siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan perangkat digital, seperti aplikasi pengolah kata, perangkat lunak penyusunan alur cerita, serta platform daring untuk kolaborasi, mampu meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, teknologi digital memberikan kemudahan dalam proses penyuntingan dan revisi naskah, serta memungkinkan adanya umpan balik secara langsung dari guru maupun teman sebaya. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa tantangan yang dihadapi, seperti kurangnya literasi digital di kalangan siswa dan keterbatasan akses terhadap perangkat teknologi di beberapa lingkungan sekolah. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran menulis naskah drama memberikan peluang yang besar untuk mendukung proses kreatif siswa, tetapi memerlukan strategi pendukung yang tepat untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi pembelajaran yang lebih efektif dengan memanfaatkan teknologi digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peluang penerapan Penelitian Berbasis Seni (ABR) dalam kajian cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis bibliometrik dan analisis visual mapping menggunakan VOSviewer. Sumber data diambil dari basis data Scopus tahun 2019-2023. Total artikel yang ditemukan sebanyak 590. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perkembangan Penelitian Berbasis Seni secara umum masih mengalami pasang surut. Pada tahun 2019 hingga 2020, penelitian berbasis seni meningkat dari 95 menjadi 117 dokumen; pada tahun 2020 hingga 2021 menurun dari 117 menjadi 111; pada tahun 2021 hingga 2022 meningkat dari 111 menjadi 142; dan pada tahun 2022 hingga 2023 kembali menurun dari 142 menjadi 125. Berdasarkan analisis tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tren Penelitian Berbasis Seni dari tahun ke tahun tidak stabil. Namun, jika dilihat secara keseluruhan dalam 5 tahun terakhir, jumlahnya cukup banyak. Artinya, penelitian ini bukanlah hal baru, tetapi masih sangat sedikit kaitannya dengan penerapannya pada kajian sastra dan bahkan belum ditemukan dalam penelitian cerita rakyat. Inilah yang menjadi temuan dan kebaruan penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, Penelitian Berbasis Seni masih sangat terbuka dalam kajian sastra maupun kajian cerita rakyat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pada era modern ini muncul beragam permasalahan dalam perkembangan teknologi dan ilmu pengetahuan yang berpengaruh terhadap dunia pendidikan salah satunya karakter generasi muda sekarang menurun signifikan. Konsep trilogi pendidikan Ki Hadjar Dewantara dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik di era modern. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis konsep dasar pendidikan Ki Hadjar Dewantara dan dikaitkannya dengan pendidikan karakter serta implikasi pendidikan di era modern. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan studi pustaka. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah semboyan Ki Hadjar Dewantara yaitu Ing Ngarso Sung Tuladha, Ing Madya Mangun Karsa dan Tut Wuri. Konsep trilogi pendidikan Ki Hajar Dewantara sejalan dengan tujuan pendidikan karakter yang ingin membentuk individu berakhlak mulia, berilmu, kreatif, mandiri, dan bertanggung jawab yang berimplikasi pada pembentukan karakter peserta didik di era modern ini. Kesimpulannya konsep Trilogi Pendidikan yang berasal dari pemikiran Ki Hadjar Dewantara memiliki relevansi signifikan dalam pembentukan karakter di era modern.
