Abstract

Including mathematics in primary school curricula is a must. The reality that kindergarteners still have a long way to go before they can grasp basic multiplication concepts. The media and learning methods aren't as appealing, which is the main reason. We propose a cooperative learning model based on the make-a-match algorithm. First, we want to know how well the Cooperative Learning Model Type Make a Match helps second graders grasp multiplication ideas. Second, we want to know what kinds of challenges students have when trying to use this model to increase their learning. three difficulties that educators face while using this paradigm in the classroom. This study used a mixed-methods approach. A one-group pretest and posttest based on a sequential explanatory pre-experimental design is used in this study. Second graders served as the subjects of the study. Research tools include interviews, surveys, and tests. The research results indicate that: (1) there is an improvement in the understanding of multiplication concepts after applying the Model Make a Match, (2) students difficulties in using this model include: difficulty in writing down what is known- asked, lack of understanding of the content story problems, time management, difficulty in concluding discussion results, and difficulty in communicating or presenting discussion results. (3) the challenges teachers face in using this model include: classroom management, generating student interest in reading or understanding the content, lack of familiarity with using the model and time management.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu model dan media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan membaca permulaan pada siswa kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui skenario dan implementasi pembelajaran berani membaca asal siswa kelas 1 SD dengan menggunakan model Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan kartu kata. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Subjek pada penelitian ini adalah siswa SD Kelas I di salah satu sekolah dasar di wilayah Kabupaten Bandung Barat yang mengumpulkan 15 siswa yang terdiri dari 9 orang siswa laki-laki dan 6 siswa perempuan.Adapun instrumen pada penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi guru dan siswa. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk mengetahui skenario dan implementasi pembelajaran berani memulai menggunakan pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan kartu kata. Dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan, dapat mengunci penggunaan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning dengan berbantuan kartu kata dapat meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan kelas 1 sekolah dasar. Selain itu, siswa belajar lebih bermakna, membuat siswa belajar untuk menemukan sendiri berdasarkan hasil pengalaman belajarnya, aktif serta bersemangat.

Abstract

Students' understanding of science concepts must be stimulated by learning activities that make students actively explore their knowledge. One way is through the 5E learning cycle model. This study is to determine the effect of the 5E learning cycle model on understanding the concept of science. The method used is a quasi-experimental method with a sample of 74 students. The instruments used were in the form of test questions for understanding science concepts and observation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the results of the mean difference test in the experimental class and t-test in the control class obtained a P-value (Sig.1-tailed) of 0.000 with a significance level of ∝ = 5%. This means that the P-value <∝ so that H1 is accepted. Thus, there is a significant increase in understanding the concept of science using the 5E learning cycle and conventional models. The t-test shows the P-value (Sig. 1-tailed) 0,000 <∝. It can be concluded that the increase in understanding of science concepts using the 5E learning cycle model is better than conventional.

Abstract

The background of this research is to see the effectiveness of learning carried out in elementary schools since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. All face-to-face learning activities that are usually carried out in schools are transformed into online-based learning and have various impacts on elementary school teachers in delivering learning material. The research objective was to analyze the effectiveness of learning carried out by elementary school teachers during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used a descriptive method with the research subjects teacher of grade 1-6 Girimukti elementary school, Cipatat district. The research instrument used was an open questionnaire, interviews, documents, and field notes. The results of the study show that ineffective learning is applied to elementary school students due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure such as smartphones and stable internet networks that affect teachers in the learning process. Also, the participation of parents and the unpreparedness of parents in the accompanying learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh munculnya pandemi covid 19 yang membuat pembelajaran di sekolah dasar harus dilakukan secara daring. Pembelajaran secara daring merupakan metode baru bagi sebagian besar guru di indonesia. Sehingga sedikit memunculkan permasalahan dalam proses pembelajaran. Semua materi pelajaran harus dilakukan secara daring, salah satunya pembelajaran membuat seni kolase. Pembelajaran membuat seni kolase pada kelas IV dilaksanakan menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning, namun karena sedang pandemi covid 19, maka semua pembelajaran harus dilaksanakan secara daring. Maka dari itu pembelajaran membuat seni kolase menngunakan model project based learning dilaksanakan secara daring, untuk membantu kelancaran kegiatan pembelajaran, guru menggunakan video pembelajaran sebagai salah satu media dalam proses pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini akan dijelaskan tentang implementasi pembelajaran membuat kolase menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning secara daring, respon guru dan siswa selama pembelajaran, serta kesulitan yang dihadapi selama proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa Sekolah dasar kelas IV di Salah satu sekolah dasar di Kabupaten Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Untuk mendapatkan data-data yang valid dalam proses penelitian, peneliti menentukan berbagai instrumen penelitian. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran membuat kolase secara daring menggunakan model pembelajaran project based learning berjalan dengan baik, namun respon guru dan siswa tidak terlalu baik, karena terdapat berbagai kekurangan dan kendala dalam proses pembelajarannya

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low students' mathematical communication skills. The purpose of this research is to see the achievement and improvement of the mathematical communication skills of students who get learning using a project-based learning model assisted by used goods using conventional learning. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent pretest and posttest control group design. The subjects of this study were 70 students of the second-semester elementary school teacher candidates at IKIP Siliwangi. The instrument in this study used a test. The results showed that 1) the achievement of mathematical communication skills of students who received learning using a project-based learning model assisted with used goods was better than those who used conventional learning; 2) the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills who get learning using a project-based learning model with used goods is better than those who use conventional learning.

Abstract

Lingkungan merupakan suatu kesatuan utuh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan manusia karena saling memiliki hubungan timbal balik. Manusia memiliki peranan penting terhadap kelangsungan kehidupan di bumi sehingga perlulah manusia memiliki pemahaman mengenai kepedulian lingkungan. Fenomena dilapangan menunjukan bahwa kerusakan lingkungan yang saat ini terjadi didominasi oleh perilaku manusia yang tidak bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan biosfik dan lebih senang memanfaatan sumber daya alam berlebihan. Melalui pembelajaran IPS guru memiliki tugas untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bisa memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman serta kepedulian hingga pada aksi sosial yang dilakukan pada lingkungan. Pembelajaran IPS berbasis ecoliteracy dengan menerapkan media vlog berbantuan YouTube dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang baru karena siswa dapat menonton video pembelajaran yang mengandung edukasi dan bisa mengajak untuk peduli lingkungan serta dapat ditonton dimana saja karena berbantuan aplikasi YouTube.  Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan dalam proses penelitian ini antara lain adalah lembar observasi, angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran IPS berbasis ecoliteracy dengan menerapkan media vlog berbantuan YouTube  dapat menumbuhkan sikap ekoliterasi pada siswa, serta membuat siswa lebih senang dalam belajar karena ada media pembelajaran yang mendukung untuk siswa lebih aktif dalam belajar.

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is that thinking skills and awareness of the importance of mathematics need to be taught and trained to students from an early age because in everyday life many things are related to thinking skills and awareness of the importance of mathematics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of teaching materials using the RME approach in the perspective of elementary school students' multiple intelligences. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with the study population is all elementary schools in the city of Cimahi. The instruments used in this study were written tests, observation, and documentation which were carried out at the pretest and posttest stages. The results of the research achieved were an increase in thinking skills and awareness of elementary students in learning mathematics and the availability of teaching materials using the RME approach. Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education, Multiple Intelligences, Mathematics Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to describe (1) the use of problem solving methods by mathematics teachers in debate learning in class VIIIB (2) student responses to the use of problem solving methods in mathematics learning in class VIIIB (3) teacher obstacles that come from students in the use of problem solving methods in mathematics learning in class VIIIB SMP Negeri 3 Numfor Barat. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research design. The subjects of this study are teachers and students. The objects in this study are the use of problem solving methods, student responses, and teacher obstacles. The data collection methods used are observation methods and interview methods. The data in this study were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The conclusions of this study are (1) the use of problem solving methods has been effective and in accordance with procedures. (2) student responses are mostly positive. (3) the obstacles found by teachers are in terms of students and very limited school facilities. The suggestion of this study is for mathematics teachers to maintain the effectiveness of learning and motivate students more, and for schools to improve learning facilities .

Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas IV pada materi statistika adalah hal yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Karena hal tersebut peneliti bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sebuah media pembelajaran interaktif diagram batang dengan menggunakan model Group Investigation berbantuan powerpoint. Metode yang digunakan di dalam penelitian ini adalah metode research and development (R&D) tahapan Borg and Gall.  Berdasarkan hasil dari validasi ahli materi, validasi ahli media dan validasi ahli praktisi terhadap media interaktif diagram batang ini mendapatkan skor diatas rata-rata degan kategori media valid dengan demikian media interaktif diagram batang layak digunakan. Pengembangan media interaktif diagram batang ini melalui dua tahap uji coba untuk mengetahui keefektifan media dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa. Pertama adalah uji coba terbatas kepada 10 siswa kelas IV dan yang kedua yaitu uji coba luas kepada 20 siswa kelas IV. Peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa setelah menggunakan desain penelitian one group design pretest-posttest pada uji terbatas dan uji luas terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan, dalam artian setelah menggunakan media interaktif diagram batang kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa berkembang. Maka dari itu pengembangan media interaktif diagram batang dengan menggunakan model Group Investigation berbantuan powerpoint mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa kelas IV SD khususnya pada materi statistika.Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran Interaktif, Model Group Investigation, Kemampuan Pemahaman Matematis.
