Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemanfaatan cerita rakyat sebagai upaya pelestarian bahasa daerah pada anak usia dini. Dalam konteks pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD), cerita rakyat memiliki potensi besar untuk memperkenalkan dan melestarikan bahasa daerah yang semakin tergerus oleh penggunaan bahasa Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di salah satu PAUD di Kabupaten Buleleng, Bali. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan orang tua, serta studi dokumentasi bahan ajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita rakyat tidak hanya meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa anak, tetapi juga mengajarkan nilai-nilai moral dan budaya yang terkandung dalam cerita tersebut. Cerita rakyat seperti Malin Kundang yang disampaikan dalam bahasa daerah memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan dan efektif bagi anak dalam memperkaya kosakata bahasa Bali. Selain itu, cerita rakyat juga menjadi sarana untuk mengajarkan karakter positif, seperti kejujuran dan keberanian, yang tercermin dalam tokoh-tokoh dalam cerita. Namun, tantangan terbesar dalam pemanfaatan cerita rakyat adalah terbatasnya bahan ajar yang menggunakan bahasa daerah dan kurangnya pelatihan untuk guru dalam mendongeng dengan bahasa daerah. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan materi ajar berbasis cerita rakyat yang menggunakan bahasa daerah serta peningkatan pelatihan untuk guru agar dapat lebih efektif dalam mengajarkan bahasa daerah melalui cerita rakyat. Penelitian ini sejalan dengan pendapat Yuliani (2015) yang menyatakan bahwa cerita rakyat adalah media yang efektif dalam memperkenalkan dan mempertahankan bahasa daerah pada anak usia dini. Kata kunci: Cerita Rakyat, Bahasa Daerah, Pelestarian, Anak Usia Dini, Pembelajaran, Nilai Moral

Abstract

This study explores how social media contributes to second language acquisition (SLA), focusing on sixth-semester English education students at FBMB UNDIKMA. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research gathered data through surveys and interviews to understand how students interact with English-language content on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. The quantitative results showed a clear connection between how often students used social media and how much they felt their vocabulary and grammar had improved. Meanwhile, the qualitative findings painted a richer picture: students often picked up new vocabulary by accident, became more attuned to grammar use, and felt more motivated to engage with the language. These findings are consistent with well-established SLA theories, such as Krashen’s Input Hypothesis and Schmidt’s Noticing Hypothesis, which emphasize the value of exposure and awareness in language learning. Overall, the study suggests that social media, while informal, can effectively complement classroom learning—especially when teachers recognize and incorporate students’ existing digital habits into their teaching practices.

Abstract

The implementation of Mini-Seminar of English language for health at social health major of UNDIKMA Mataram aims to improve students’ English language knowledge, capability in Social Health Program of Undikma, especially English for social health both theoretically and practically. This program involved the students of social health in Undikma Mataram. The presenters or the mentors of this program were the English lecturers, and the students majoring in social health who are still active as students as the participants. The program took place in Mandalika University of Education (UNDIKMA), Mataram. The program implemented the method included planning, acting, observing in which through giving the material presentation focusing on some materials such as; English for health, eight parts of speech, modal auxiliaries, mini conversation practice realizing the materials given. The result of the implemented program revealed the high enthusiasm and interest to participate actively within the process of the program given start from the first till the end. The students also gained the increase improvement regarding the capability of using English language expression for social health, vocabulary items, and self-confident. The students also expected the same program may be re-conducted since they showed a high appreciation to the program given in terms of presentation, and guiding within the practice, so that they can enrich and improve their English language communication skill especially English for social health.

Abstract

This community service aims to improve knowledge, basic English skill for teenagers especially English for tour guide both theoretically and practically. This program involved the teenagers of Working Youth Forum (FMB) Bilebante Green Tourism Village, Central Lombok Regency. The presenters of this program were the English lecturers of UNDIKMA who are still active. The program took place in Bilebante Green Tourism Village, Central Lombok Regency. The method implemented planning, acting, and observing in which through giving the material presentation focusing on some materials such as; English for tourism, modal auxiliaries, eight parts of speech, and mini conversation practice realizing the materials given. The result of this community service revealed that the respondents were very enthusiastic and interest to participate actively within the process of the program given start from the first till the end. The capability of the respondents was also increase regarding on how to use English language expression for tour guide, vocabulary items, and become more confident. They expected the same program may be re-conducted or proceeded in another time since it has positive effect toward presentation, and their communicative English language skill.

Abstract

This study aims to examine whether there is an effect of using online games and students' interest on English learning achievement at SMPN 2 Sambelia. Sampling used a total sampling technique with a total of 20 people. This study uses two independent variables, namely online games (X1) and student interest (X2), while the dependent variable is learning achievement (Y). The data used in this study is primary data in the form of a questionnaire with 20 respondents. This research method uses ex post facto. The data analysis technique used in this study was simple regression analysis. The results of this study note the F value of 1.390 < compared to the F-table of 3.59. So, it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected, which means that there is no significant effect between online games (X1) and interest (X2) on student achievement (Y).

Abstract

The problem statement of this research is hyponym effective towards students’ vocabulary at the first semester of English Department of FBMB. The aim of the research is to find out the effect of using hyponym in teaching vocabulary of first semester of English Department of FBMB. This research used quantitative research with experimental design. This research was conducted on September to November 2021. The total of students were 120 students. The researcher chose two classes as the sample of the research, namely control and experimental groups. In experimental group treated by hyponym and control group treated by vocabulary mastery and motivation. Both of the groups had been given pre-test and post-test. The sample was selected by using simple random sampling technique. This research motivation as support students’ learning especially in enhance students’ vocabulary.  The result of this study, there are differences in result between post experiment and post control (82.40 >61.87). So, the use of hyponym technique can enhance students’ learning outcome while, the mean score of students’ having higher motivation is 78.284 > 62.525 is lower. It can be concluded that the students’ having higher motivation have better vocabulary than students’ having lower motivation.

Abstract

This research was aimed to find out The Effect of Three Stay One Stray towards Students’ Critical Thinking in Reading at MTs NW Darusollihin Kalijaga. The subject of this study was 51 students at second grade of MTs NW Darusollihin Kalijaga. The gorup divided to two classes; they were experiment and control class. 26 students in experimental class and 25 students in control class. In which experiment class consists of 12 males and 14 females and in control class consists of 10 males and 15 females. The researcher gave the critical thinking in reading test by using Three Stray One Stray Strategy to find the students’ critical thinking in reading. In analyzing the data the researcher used descriptive statistics and infrential statistics. Based on the data analysis was gotten that t-test was higher than t-table (5.325 > 1.753)with signification level 5%. Therefore alternative hypothesis accepted and null hypothesis  rejected. Therefore, it concluded that there was significant effect of Three Stay One Stray towards Students’ Critical Thinking in Reading at MTs NW Darusollihin Kalijaga.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa pendidikan olahraga terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi Covid-19 ditinjau berdasarkan gender. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif dengan subyek penelitian sebanyak 166 mahasiswa pendidikan olahraga Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket tertutup dengan skala Likert dan yang telah divalidasi (validasi ahli). Data penelitian dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji-t. Hasil studi yaitu (1) persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran daring pada pendidikan olahraga ditinjau dari gender yaitu laki-laki memiliki rata-rata skor sebesar 2,23 dengan kategori Cukup Baik dan perempuan sebesar 2,02 dengan kategori Cukup Baik; (2) ada perbedaan yang signifikan persepsi mahasiswa terhadap pembelajaran daring antara mahasiswa berjenis kelamin laki-laki dan perempuan yang dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,023 lebih kecil dari nilai alpha pengujian 0,05 (<0,05). Oleh sebab itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran daring di pendidikan olahraga pada semester genap tahun akademik 2019/2020 di masa pandemi covid-19 berlangsung kurang efektif.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa inggris siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Sambelia Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMPN 2 Sambelia yang beralamat di Jalan Raya Sambelia - Sembalun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Sambelia Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling yaitu seluruh bagian dari populasi yang berjumlah 25 orang, dan instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri berupa angket. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda diperoleh persamaan garis linear Y=28.013+0,234 X1+0,458 X2. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan uji t pada taraf signifikan alpha 5% hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan motivasi belajar berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar dimana nilai thitung>ttabel (2,151>1,662). Dan kepercayaan diri berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar thitung>ttabel (3,337>1,662). Hasil yang diperoleh dari uji F menunjukkan bahwa variabel motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa inggris siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Sambelia dengan nilai Fhitung>Ftabel (21,783>3,10). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi belajar dan kepercayaan diri siswa berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajar bahasa inggris siswa kelas VIII SMPN 2 Sambelia.
