Abstract

This study aims to describe the formal structure, narrative structure and character education values in the Numbrag short story. The methods used are formal methods and qualitative methods. The type of data used in this study is qualitative data because this research is oriented towards a description of the formal and narrative structures as well as the value of character education in the short story Numbrag. Primary data in this study were obtained directly from the text of the Numbrag short story while secondary data were obtained from relevant sources such as scientific journals and reference books. Data collection uses the document recording method. After the data is collected, then the data is processed using non-statistical analysis or descriptive data processing using induction and argumentation techniques. From the results of research and discussion it can be seen that the formal structure that builds the Numbrag short story consists of a variety of languages and language styles. The variety of languages used include alus, medium, andap and rough bases. While the style of language used is the type of sesawangan. The narrative structure consists of a synopsis, theme, character, characterization, plot, setting and message. There are three character education values contained in the Numbrag Short Story, namely discipline, social care and fond of reading.

Abstract

Pengaruh globalisasi, kurangnya perhatian dalam kurikulum sekolah, terbatasnya penggunaan aksara Bali dalam komunikasi sehari-hari, serta minimnya media pembelajaran yang menarik dan efektif berdampak buruk bagi pengembangan literasi aksara Bali di kalangan generasi muda, khususnya anak-anak di Bali Sibetan Volunteer & Learning Center (BSVLC), Desa Sibetan, Kecamatan Bebandem, Kabupaten Karangasem. Penerapan media inovatif PAKSALI (Papan Aksara Bali) dijadikan solusi untuk masalah tersebut. Asistensi mengajar dengan PAKSALI bertujuan untuk menguatkan literasi aksara Bali anak-anak BSVLC sebanyak 20 orang. Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat secara kolaboratif antara dosen dan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Bali, STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama sehari pada hari Minggu, 5 Mei 2024, melalui 3 tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan (pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan penutup), dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa dengan PAKSALI dapat menguatkan literasi aksara Bali pada anak BSVLC, pembelajaran lebih menarik dan menyenangkan; sedangkan respon anak-anak sangat positi; serta diharapkan kegiatan yang sama dapat untuk memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam menjaga dan melestarikan aksara Bali.

Abstract

The development of the times is so fast that it affects various things including student character. The importance of integrated character education in various lessons is no exception in the Lontar Transcript course in the Balinese Language Education Study Program. The integration of character education provides strengthening for students who will later become teachers so that they can provide strong character education values for their students. This study aims to analyze the character education values integrated in the lontar transcription of STKIP Hinduism Amlapura students. This research is a qualitative research, with the locus of research at STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura. The type of data uses qualitative and quantitative data, while the data source uses primary and secondary data sources. Data collection methods use participatory observation methods and questionnaires. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. Based on the results of the study, it shows that students of STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura internalize 17 character education values in the process of creativity of lontar transcripts, namely hard work, independence, religion, curiosity, responsibility, discipline, creativity, love for the country, honesty, love to read, respect for achievement, tolerance, democratic, peace-loving, communicative, environmental care, and social care. The process of internalizing character education values in STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura students' lontar transcripts, including receiving, responding, selecting, internalizing, and applying values.
