Abstract

The educational implementation is a learning process at all levels, students are required to follow certain lectures, including mathematics courses. Learning difficulties are a barrier to learning where children are not well educated, due to disturbances, both from student factors and external factors. learning, thus students are expected to catch up because of these obstacles. This research is classified into qualitative descriptive research that seeks to describe the analysis of student learning difficulties in statistical subjects. The subjects in this study were the fourth-semester students of 2018/2019 Mulawarman University. Research reveals things that are considered as a barrier factor for students in Statistics. In this study, the researcher collected information through documentation, tests, and interviews with students. The results of the analysis show that the difficulties of students in studying Statistics basically lie in the weakness of the concept. The results of the research conducted by the researcher were the existence of errors in process skills, errors in understanding questions, and errors in using notation. The solution to overcoming these problems is: for the eye teacher of Statistics to be able to develop learning strategies so that students can be more honed in their thinking skills and provide continuous problem training to students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a contribution of group guidance services to increasing the learning concentration of class X students at SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda 2020/2021. This type of research is ex post facto quantitative with a correlational design. 138 samples from a population of 353 students, samples were taken using a purposive sampling technique with the consideration that students have low learning outcomes and who have difficulty in concentrating when viewed from the results of the AKPD analysis. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and interviews. The prerequisite test using SPSS 25.0 For Windows is the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov formula and the linearity test by looking at the sig value. deviation from linearity. The data analysis technique uses a simple linear regression test to see whether there is a contribution from group guidance services to increasing student learning concentration and is proven by looking at the results of the F test whether the hypothesis is accepted or rejected. The results of the study were 35,400 2.28 or Fcount Ftable which means Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, meaning that there is a contribution from group guidance services to increasing the learning concentration of class X students. And the contribution is 21% based on the coefficient of determination (Rsquare). So that group guidance services can be used as a strategy in an effort to increase the learning concentration of class X students.

Abstract

The study of the role of the principal's instructional leadership in the learning process is a critical factor in increasing the effectiveness of learning. This study aims to investigate the role of school principals' instructional leadership in increasing the effectiveness of learning in Samarinda Public Middle Schools, with a focus on how school principals formulate and communicate the vision, mission, and goals of the school, plan and coordinate curriculum, and carry out instructional supervision in increasing learning effectiveness. This study used a qualitative interview design involving eight participants: two teachers, three vice principals, two school committee members, and one school principal. Interview data were analyzed interactively and thematically. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategy is to formulate the school's vision, mission, and goals together with teachers, school committees, and stakeholders. The active involvement of all stakeholders is one of the keys to realizing the school's vision and mission. The principal encourages teachers' creative efforts in learning so that learning constraints are in the classroom. Efforts to develop and improve teacher quality and transparent and objective evaluation are necessary, and evaluation is the final activity of management processes and actions. The obstacles faced were that teachers could not use interactive with students freely, the delivery of student character was partially not fulfilled, counselling guidance was not optimal, and extracurricular activities were not optimal. Efforts that have been made to overcome these obstacles are to maintain students' enthusiasm always to be active in learning, solicit learning feedback from students, and evaluate together.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the evaluation of the Thematic Integrated Community Service Programme (KKN) and School Field Introduction (PLP). Method used in this research is the countenance stake evaluation model, The research sample included 98 lecturers, 523 students, 47 principals, and 246 teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools and PKBMs in Samarinda. Data collection techniques are: Questionnaires, interviews, and document analysis. this study uses Descriptive Statistics. the research findings highlight the evaluation of the Thematic Community Service (KKN) and School Field Introduction (PLP) programmes from different perspectives, including school principals, FETT lecturers, students, and teachers. The findings align with previous research on effective programme planning, organization, assessment practices, experiential learning, student engagement, programme satisfaction, and teacher skills. The convergence of positive ratings across the evaluations indicates the potential effectiveness of the programmes in engaging students, improving learning outcomes, and meeting the needs of the school community. a conclusion can be drawn that:  data from various perspectives Students, principals, teachers, and lecturers rated the implementation of the program as good or very good, highlighting its ability to provide valuable learning experiences for students. The program is seen as relevant to the curriculum and has a positive impact on increasing students' interest in pursuing a career in education. Additionally, the design and structure of the program were highly regarded, emphasizing its well-planned approach.

Abstract

The goal of this study is to investigate a model of the direct variable relationships between organisational culture, moral hierarchy levels, commitment, motivation, and leadership style. Purpose  This  study  is to find  out, the direct  influence  of school organizational culture, the leadership  style of the principal, on teacher  commitment,  the level  of moral  hierarchy  on  teacher commitment, teacher work motivation on teacher commitment, the direct influence of school organizational culture, the principal's leadership style on teacher work motivation, the level of moral hierarchy  on teacher work motivation.  The study population of all junior high school teachers in Samarinda City. The sampling technique is used non-random, proportional sampling. This technique is to obtain 309 samples from the total population 796 teachers.  Path analysis is one analysis technique used to find the relationship between variables. The stages of path analysis techniques are (1) Descriptive statistical analysis, (2) Normality test requirements test and linearity test, (3) Hypothesis test using significance test analysis. Based on the results, it can be said that raising work motivation, moral hierarchy level, leadership style, and organisational culture of the school can all help junior high school teachers in Samarinda become more committed.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru SD untuk Mengajarkan Konsep Luas Bidang Datar dengan menggunakan MEQIP (Mathematic eduation quality Improvement) di SD Samarinda Kota. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah “Pelatihan”. Adapun kegiatan yang dilaksanakan adalah: Persiapan, Pelaksanaan, dan Evaluasi. Keberhasilan kegiatan pelatihan ini akan dievaluasi melalui proses yang dilihat dari aktivitas peserta mengkuti kegiatan pelatihan. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah para guru SD Se-Kota Samarinda yang direncanakan dan di undang berjumlah 43 orang. Pelaksanan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk penyampaian materi dan presentasi hasil pelatihan. Materi yang diberikan terdiri dari 5 materi, yaitu Sumber dan media pembelajaran serrta pentingnya alat peraga dalam pembelajaran matematika di SD, Pengenalan MEQIP. Peragaan penggunaan alat peraga luas segitiga, segiempat dan lingkaran. Dari hasil pelatihan guru-guru mampu memanfaatkan alat peraga yang tersedia di sekolah secara maksimal, dan mampu mengajarkan konsep-konsep matematika dengan benar sehingga siswa dapat mencapai tujuan pembelajaran dengan baik.

Abstract

Pengabdian Ini bertujuan “untuk meningkatkan keterampilah Guru Bimbingan Dan Konseling  dalam pembuatan web Tingkat SMP/MT.s Se-Kecamatan Samarinda Ulu. Web merupakan alat komunikasi dengan menggunakan target seseorang untuk menyampaikan informasi kepada khalayak, dalam web ini seseorang dapat menyampaikan ide, pikiran atau gagasan untuk melakukan suatu rencana. Melalui Media web untuk Layan informasi Bimbingan dan Konseling sangat cocok untuk masyarakat yang luas dalam menyebarkan informasi. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah para Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling jenjenag SMP/MT.s Se-Kecamatan Samarinda Ulu. Melalui kegiatan ini kami harapkan dapat: Memberikan kontribusi, kreatifitas, dan keterampilan yang besar sebagai pemahaman tentang pentingnya media dalam layanan informasi. Keberhasilan dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat dapat dilihat dari: respons peserta workshop diukur melalui tahapan observasi selama pelatihan berlangsung. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dapat disimpulkan yaitu Kegiatan ini mampu memberikan manfaat yang sangat besar dan tepat sasaran bagi peserta (guru) yang menjadi  sasaran dalam kegiatan ini. Bentuk pelatihan seperti ini merupakan bentuk yang sangat efektif untuk memberikan penyegaran/meningkatkan keterampilan dan tambahan wawasan serta pengetahuan peserta khususnya di bidang teknologi informasi. Materi yang disajikan dapat diterima, dicerna, dan dipahami peserta dengan baik. Kegiatan berlangsung lancar, tepat waktu dan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan dan para peserta dapat berkomunikasi dengan para pembicara dan peserta lain dengan baik.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan bimbingan dan konseling di beberapa sekolah masih dilakukan secara manual sehingga membutuhkan waktu dan biaya yang cukup mahal. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan dengan maksud agar pembuatan program Bimbingan dan Konseling disekolah dapat terlaksana selama masa pandemik Covid 19, sehingga pelaksaan program yang dibuat berjalan dengan baik. Pelatihan dilaksanakan selama 3 hari dengan diikuti 25 peserta, pelaksanaan pelatihan ini dilaksanakan secara Daring. Hasil dari pelatihan mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam pembeuatan instrument (alat tes)menjadi lebih menarik serta berbasis online yang dapat menjadi solusi di masa pandemik covid 19, dengan memanfaatkan instrument (alat tes) tersebut tugas para guru Bimbingan dan Konseling akan lebih efektif dan efisien. Kesimpulan Hasil kegiatan terjadinya Peningkatan Kompetensi guru mengoptimalkan pembuatan aplikasi alat tes memanfaatkan macromedia flash dan google forms.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the Enterprise School Readiness Prediction System (ESRPS) to predict children's readiness for elementary school using machine learning algorithms.  This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using Borg and Gall’s model and Instruments include questionnaires, programming tools, performance evaluation metrics, and web/database development tools to ensure the system's validity, reliability, and practical applicability.The research analyzes data from 300 students in various Indonesian cities, focusing on attributes like age, gender, and parental education. The system implements four algorithms: Decision Tree, Random Forest, Naive Bayes, and SVM. Data preprocessing, model training, and hyperparameter tuning were conducted, followed by evaluation using metrics like accuracy and precision. A web-based application was developed for user interaction and deployment. The result showed that the Decision Tree and Naive Bayes algorithms achieved the highest accuracy at 55%, followed by SVM at 50%, and Random Forest at 45%. This suggests that simpler models may be more suitable for the dataset's characteristics. The system also demonstrated the feasibility of practical deployment for educational use. The study concludes that ESRPS effectively uses machine learning to assess school readiness, highlighting the value of data preprocessing and model tuning in enhancing accuracy. Despite moderate accuracy levels, the study confirms the system's potential for aiding educators and parents in supporting children's transition to school.

Abstract

The study sees, there is still a lack of student ICT skills in producing a multimedia platform to support guidance and counselling services. This mixed method aimed to analyze the ICT skills of students from the department dept. of Guidance and Counselling in producing interesting, effective, and efficient infographic media and video as well as evaluation materials for lecturers in correcting the shortcomings of the lecture process. Using saturated total sampling technique of 76 students’ from class of 2020 this present study focuses on Infographic Design, Video, and Material. Data collection were based in the form of documentation include e-infographic project tasks, video tasks, infographic assessment sheets, and video assessment sheets which analyzed using descriptive statistics in the form of average values and percentages, which are then converted to qualitative data. The results of the assessment obtained for infographic design (3.53 ), materials in the appropriate category (3.78), and for video (4.00). Media that has been created by students in the form of Infographics and videos provides one of the solutions in providing guidance and counselling services during the Covid-19 pandemic or in the new normal situation. Therefore this study highlighted the excellence in-making skills of students or candidates for Guidance and counseling of Mulawarman University in creating infographic media and videos are very important in supporting and providing guidance and counselling services as their career path in the future.
