Abstract

Program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai perancangan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis video kepada mahasiswa calon guru yang dikemas melalui workshop secara online di masa pandemi Covid 19. Fokus kegiatan workshop adalah pada pembuatan video multimedia pembelajaran menggunakan Microsoft PowerPointmelalui teknik screen recording. Ide ini dilandasi dengan pemikiran bahwa mahasiswa calon guru harus memiliki keterampilan tambahan untuk mendukung perannya sebagai guru nanti. Selain itu, perkembangan pembelajaran saat ini menuntut kreativitas guru tanpa batas dengan memanfaatkan perangkat digital untuk dapat membuat siswa tetap terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran, terlebih di masa pandemi ini. Mitra pengabdian ini adalah Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Pendidikan Mandalika dan melibatkan 35 mahasiswa semester 5. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan menggunakan dua tahapan, yaitu tahapan persiapan dan tahapan pelaksanaan. Tahap persiapan digunakan untuk mempersiapkan alat, bahan, jadwal dan kebutuhan-kebutuhan lainnya untuk menunjang lancarnya program. Tahap pelaksanaan meliputi proses implementasi kegiatan pengabdian yang telah diprogramkan. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu merancang tahapan materi dalam video menggunakan storyboard, menghasilkan video pengenalan multimedia pembelajaran dan mengunggahnya pada laman youtube akun masing-masing.

Abstract

The implementation of learning so far has only been carried out by teachers by providing material conventionally, this has happened during learning at MTs. Darunnadwah Islam which has an impact on the lack of activity and interest of students when learning Mathematics in class, the lack of students' ability to absorb and understand the material provided by the teacher is shown in the low student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to find out how the application of problem-based learning models can improve the understanding of the quadrilateral concept in class VII MTs students. Islamic Darunnadwah for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. The instruments used are observation sheets and tests. From the research that has been done, it shows that there is an increase in students' understanding of concepts, namely in cycle I the average score of students' understanding test results is 75.00 with a completeness percentage of 67.65% because their classical mastery has not yet reached an indicator of success in research, namely 85%, so it is continued to cycle II. Whereas in cycle II the average student understanding test result was 76.29 with 91.17% completeness. For data analysis of student learning activities increased from quite active to very active, so that in this study it was concluded that the application of a problem-based learning model could increase the understanding of the quadrilateral concept in class VII MTs students. Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) type cooperative learning model on MTs student learning outcomes. Islam Babussalam on two-variable linear equations for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research is a experimental research. The experimental design used was one group pre test post test. The subjects of this research were 20 students of MTs Islam Babussalam class VIII. This research used one class that was treated with the STAD model. The analysis technique uses the t test. Based on the research results, it shows that the pre test results are 8.08 and the post test results are 15.18. So we get t_count=9.087 and t_(table )=1.685, we get t_count≥ t_(table ). Thus, it is concluded that there is an influence of the STAD type cooperative model on the learning outcomes of MTs Islam Babussalam students in the two-variable linear equation material for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This study was conducted as an effort to enhance students' understanding of mathematical concepts through the application of the CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) model at MA NW Putra Narmada, West Lombok Regency. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) carried out in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are 34 students from the 10th grade at MA NW Putra Narmada. The research instruments used are observation sheets and test sheets. The data collection techniques employed are testing and observation. The data analysis techniques used are both quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate an improvement in the understanding of mathematical concepts among the 10th grade students of MA NW Putra Narmada after applying the CORE learning model. Test results show an increase in students' understanding of mathematical concepts in cycle I to 57% with a sufficient category, while in cycle II, it increased to 95.00% with an excellent category. Observation results show 68% in cycle I with a good category and 96.00% in cycle II with an excellent category.

Abstract

Berpikir kritis adalah keterampilan fundamental dalam pendidikan abad ke-21, yang penting untuk menganalisis informasi, mengevaluasi bukti, dan membuat keputusan yang logis. Dalam pembelajaran sains, berpikir kritis memainkan peran penting dalam membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep kompleks serta mengembangkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah secara sistematis. Namun, studi-studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa siswa sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) di Indonesia menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis yang relatif rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis profil berpikir kritis siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran sains dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perkembangannya. Desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan dengan memanfaatkan kuesioner skala Likert untuk menilai tujuh indikator utama berpikir kritis, yaitu: rasa ingin tahu, kepercayaan diri, pencarian kebenaran, keterbukaan pikiran, kemampuan analitis, sistematis, dan kedewasaan. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif untuk menentukan tingkat berpikir kritis siswa. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa berada dalam kategori “sedang” terkait persepsi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis. Di antara ketujuh indikator, keterbukaan pikiran (70%) dan kedewasaan (72%) diklasifikasikan dengan kriteria tinggi, yang menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa untuk menerima perspektif baru dan berpikir secara objektif. Sementara itu, kepercayaan diri (58%) dan sistematis (63%) merupakan indikator dengan skor terendah, yang menunjukkan adanya kelemahan dalam berpikir terstruktur dan pengambilan keputusan. Meskipun siswa telah menunjukkan dasar berpikir kritis yang memadai, perbaikan masih diperlukan dalam aspek kepercayaan diri, keterampilan analitis, dan pemikiran sistematis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi strategi Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan pendekatan STEM untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities, student activities, and to see the implementation of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on cube and block material for class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Narmada. This research is a quantitative research with experimental methods and uses a Pre-Experimental design in the form of Posttest-Only Control Design. The population in this study were all class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Narmada which consisted of five classes totaling 186 students. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The sample consists of two classes, namely class VIIID as an experimental class with 35 students and class VIIIE as a control class with 35 students. The test results obtained a reliability level of 0.88 with a total of 28 students. It can be interpreted that the students' mathematical problem solving ability test questions have very high reliability and are suitable for use. The analysis carried out in this study was to determine the effect of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities using the t-test calculation where the results of the analysis showed the influence of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model on mathematical problem solving abilities. students of 0.91 with strong criteria. Analysis of student learning activity observation sheets showed an increase in student learning activities, which in the first meeting obtained a percentage of 87.15% and the second meeting was 89.11% with very active criteria. Analysis of the observation sheet on the implementation of the Student Team Achievement Divisions (STAD) learning model using the calculation of the percentage of implementation frequency obtained the percentage of 81.91% very good criteria.

Abstract

Efforts to improve the quality of science learning require various breakthroughs, both in curriculum development, learning innovation, learning media, and fulfilling educational facilities and infrastructure. To improve student achievement, teachers are required to make learning more innovative which encourages students to learn optimally both in independent learning and in classroom learning. In order for learning to be more optimal, it is also necessary that learning media must be effective and selective in accordance with the subjects taught in improving student achievement. Learning media is one of the important components in learning. Media is a tool to understand the concept or subject matter. Biology is a part of science which contains scientific concepts and develops science process skills. Science process skills can be possessed by students through direct observation of objects that involve various student activities in the classroom and outside the classroom. Today, the implementation of the science learning process, especially biology with the approach of science process skills and the use of learning media is still not optimal. There are still few teachers who want to develop science process skills in learning biology. Likewise, there are still teachers who are less creative in using learning media for various reasons, such as the availability of tools and practicum materials, limited funds, time and others. To find alternative solutions to the problem solving above, training on making an insectarium was held for Mts teachers. With the aim of training teachers to make a biology insectarium which is very important in supporting the implementation of biology practicum in schools. The target audience for this service are the teachers of Mts. Dharut Thayyibin Batu Jai, Central Lombok Regency. From the evaluation results, the results and benefits of this service activity include improving the skills of Mts teachers. in making a biology insectarium as a medium for learning biology. This service activity went smoothly, because of various supporters, especially the participation of participants who were quite enthusiastic and actively participated in this training activity. This training activity should be carried out on a broader target and the material can be developed in the manufacture of various types of Biological insectariums. Thus, it is hoped that in the future it will be able to help biology teachers in developing science learning media, so that the quality of science learning can be further improved.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes in low grade mathematics education subjects using the mind mapping method. The hypothesis of action research is that if the mind mapping method is used it can improve student cognitive learning outcomes. This research is classroom action research. The design of this research is based on Kemmis and Taggart using a spiral system. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this study were seen from the increase in student cognitive learning outcomes in cycle 1, namely 70.97% and the increase in cycle II changed to 90.32%. Based on the results of the observational analysis, there was an increase in the learning process, from 80% of the descriptors that were implemented to 95% of the descriptors that were implemented. Based on the data above, it can be concluded that the mind mapping method can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes in low grade mathematics subjects.

Abstract

The problem in this research is the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. This is because the teaching methods used are still monotonous. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of the problem based learning cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi. The type of research used in this research is a quasi experiment with a pre-test post-test control group design. The population in this study were class XI students of SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi. The sample for this research was class XIA as the experimental class and XIB as the control class. The sampling technique uses saturated sampling. The instrument of this research is a test sheet. Based on the results of data analysis on student mathematics learning outcomes, the average score in the experimental class was 81.33 with the highest score being 100 and the lowest score being 65, while the average score in the control class was 60.17 with the highest score being 80 and the lowest score being 40. Based on the results of the t test, tcount is 8.298 and ttable is 2.002, because tcount ≥ ttable then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the problem based learning type cooperative learning model on the mathematics learning outcomes of class XI students at SMA Negeri 2 Labuapi.

Abstract

The results of interviews that were conducted in class VII of Darunnadwah Islamic Middle School, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency found that the interest and achievement in learning mathematics of class VII students was still low. Because the teacher uses the question and answer method in learning, so that it becomes one of the factors for the low interest and achievement of student learning. So we need a method that can increase interest and student achievement. One way is to apply the Drill method. This study aims to identify students' interests and learning achievements in absorbing the material provided by the teacher, by looking at interest questionnaires and the results of student learning achievements learning using the Drill Method. This type of research is Quasi experiment with Pretest-Postest Group Design. The research population was class VII students of Darunnadwah Islamic Middle School, Gerung District, West Lombok Regency, consisting of four classes. The sample was determined by purposive sampling and class VII A was selected as the experimental class (learning using the drill method) and class VII B as the control class (learning using the conventional method). The instruments used were an interest questionnaire and pre-test and post-test in the form of a descriptive test. Data analysis used the statistical test program SPSS 16 for Windows, namely the Independent Sample T Test with a significance level of 5%. The statistical test results showed that there was a significant difference between students who were taught by the Drill Method and students who were taught by the Conventional (Lecture) method with sig = 0.000 and α = 0.05 (sig < α). So it can be concluded that the learning achievement of students who study using the Drill Method is better than the learning achievement of students who learn using conventional methods (lectures).
