Abstract

Information system security is a crucial aspect in the digital era, especially for protecting sensitive data. One method to enhance data security is steganography, a technique for concealing information within digital media. This study analyzes the effectiveness of the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) method in digital image steganography. The research follows several stages, including literature review, system design, DCT implementation using MATLAB/Python, and performance evaluation based on Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Mean Squared Error (MSE), and Normalized Correlation (NC). Experimental results indicate that the DCT method achieves a high PSNR value (averaging above 40 dB) and a low MSE value, ensuring minimal image distortion after data embedding. Compared to the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method, DCT provides better resistance to visual analysis and is more suitable for images with transform-based compressions, such as JPEG. This study concludes that the DCT method is an effective steganography technique for enhancing information system security, despite challenges related to computational complexity and data embedding capacity. Future research may explore hybrid methods that combine DCT with other techniques to improve efficiency and robustness against various steganographic analysis attacks.

Abstract

In the current system, agricultural extension workers manually collect and summarize extension outcome data using spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel). The weaknesses of this manual system are errors in data entry, duplicate data, and a rather long time for recapitulation. This research aims to develop and implement a web-based Irrigation Management Information System that is integrated and easy for agricultural extension workers at the sub-district level to use. The method used in this research is Research and Development, with a prototype model that allows interaction between developers and users during the creation process. The results of functional testing on this system show that the system has met user needs and no errors were found in any of the functions. Additionally, the limited trial involved 35 users who rated the system as very easy to use. It is hoped that with this irrigation management information system, water resource management can be carried out more effectively, supporting agricultural productivity and the overall well-being of farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify, explore, and analyze the factors that influence the implementation of an inventory information system application in improving the quality of inventory records at the Class I Immigration Office TPI Cirebon. The implementation of this application is expected to contribute to the realization of good governance through more efficient, accurate, and transparent service and administrative management. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, document analysis, and archival research. The informants consist of office leaders, application operators, civil servants, and community service users. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the inventory information system application has been carried out in both internal and external services. However, it has not yet been optimal due to several challenges, such as limited access via Android devices, the unavailability of integrated service features for inventory recording, and inadequate internet bandwidth. This research provides strategic recommendations for system development to become more adaptive, efficient, and responsive to user needs.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of information system quality, information technology sophistication, and personal technical capability on the effectiveness of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in Village Credit Institutions (LPDs) in Jembrana Regency. The research adopts a quantitative approach, utilizing a survey method. Questionnaires were distributed to 63 employees from 21 LPDs that have already implemented computerized AIS. The study focuses on assessing how these three independent variables contribute to the effectiveness of AIS in the LPDs. Multiple linear regression was employed for data analysis, allowing the researcher to determine the relationship between the independent variables and the effectiveness of AIS. The respondents were selected from LPDs that had successfully integrated technology into their accounting systems. The primary objective was to understand whether system quality, IT sophistication, and personal technical capability played a significant role in improving AIS performance in these institutions. The findings of the study indicate that all three independent variables—system quality, IT sophistication, and personal technical capability—positively influence the effectiveness of AIS. Specifically, high-quality systems, advanced IT infrastructure, and employees with strong technical skills were found to enhance the operational effectiveness of AIS. This underscores the importance of these factors in ensuring the smooth functioning of AIS in LPDs. As such, LPDs are encouraged to invest in improving system quality, upgrading IT systems, and enhancing the technical skills of their staff to optimize AIS performance. Overall, the study contributes to the understanding of how technological factors can be leveraged to improve accounting processes in financial institutions, particularly in rural settings like LPDs in Jembrana Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of organizational communication in preventing communication errors that can negatively affect organizational operations. One of the primary challenges in organizations is communication errors that lead to information distortion, decision-making mistakes, reduced efficiency, and even internal conflicts. In an increasingly complex and dynamic environment, the role of effective communication becomes crucial to ensuring clear and accurate information flow at every organizational level. This research uses a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and direct observations within public and private organizations to understand the factors influencing communication errors and ways to prevent them. Based on the findings, open communication, the use of appropriate technology, and a supportive organizational culture for two-way communication are key factors in minimizing information errors. The study’s recommendations emphasize the importance of continuous communication training and the development of more transparent communication systems in organization.

Abstract

Waiting time is one of the minimum standards in hospital pharmaceutical services. The waiting time for prescription services is measured as the interval between the submission of a prescription and the receipt of medication, which should be ≤30 minutes for non-compounded drugs and ≤60 minutes for compounded drugs. Timely service is closely related to customer satisfaction. However, prolonged waiting time for drug services still occurs at Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital. Based on the 2023 community satisfaction index data, the score for the pharmaceutical installation was 83.88, and the lowest element was punctuality. Service quality is closely related to customer satisfaction, which is influenced by the clarity of information and services according to patients’ needs and expectations. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of information clarity on the length of waiting time for drug services and service quality on patient satisfaction in the JKN Outpatient Pharmacy Service Unit of Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. Samples were collected using consecutive sampling techniques with a total of 113 patients who accessed drug services at the JKN Outpatient pharmacy unit. The results showed that waiting time, tangibles, assurance, and empathy had a positive and significant effect on patient satisfaction. Reliability and responsiveness had a positive but not statistically significant on patient satisfaction. Among the variables, empathy had the strongest influence on satisfaction. Due to the dominant factor of empathy, it is recommended that Dr. Saiful Anwar Hospital improve its pharmaceutical services by providing training for pharmacists to deliver better and more empathetic service

Abstract

The emergence of algorithmic contracts, made or carried out by independent systems, creates difficult legal problems, especially in Indonesia's regulatory environment. This study examines whether Indonesia’s Information and Electronic Transactions Law is adequate to deal with new problems with algorithmic pricing, EAs, and automated contract creation. The article also examines the different types of algorithmic contracts and how black-box algorithms are used in dynamic pricing in business competition. It shows how unclear the law is about agency, consent, and accountability.  Using doctrinal legal research combined with conceptual, comparative, and interdisciplinary approaches, the study finds that Indonesia's Information and Electronic Transactions Law and Competition Law have become inadequate in responding to developments in AI-driven transactions. It suggests a legal framework that does not favour any one technology and recognises algorithms as helpful agents. It also calls for changes to the law to clarify how electronic agents can work together and negotiate. This method ensures that businesses are held accountable and that the law is clear in the age of self-driving digital contracts.
