Abstract

Nhabila Putri. 2026. Evaluation of the Implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS): A Multi-Case Study at Attaqwa Panaikang Private Islamic Elementary School in Makassar City and Karama Private Islamic Elementary School in Bulukumba Regency (supervised by Muhammad Ardiansyah and Ansar). This study aims to evaluate the implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) as a school management information system at Attaqwa Panaikang Private Islamic Elementary School in Makassar City and Karama Private Islamic Elementary School in Bulukumba Regency, as well as to analyze the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a multi-case study design. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, with data validity tested through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The implementation evaluation is conducted using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). The results show that the implementation of EMIS in both madrasahs has been carried out well in supporting administrative processes and data reporting. Attaqwa Panaikang demonstrates more optimal implementation due to adequate infrastructure, competent operators, and a structured work system, thereby improving efficiency and data accuracy. Meanwhile, Karama continues to implement EMIS despite facing challenges such as limited internet access, equipment, and human resource training. Supporting factors include the commitment of the principal, compliance with policies, and collaboration between teachers and operators, while inhibiting factors include limited infrastructure, uneven information technology competence, and operator workload. Overall, EMIS improves administrative order, but its utilization remains limited to administrative aspects and has not been fully optimized as a basis for data-driven decision making.

Abstract

This research addresses the critical challenge of implementing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4, "Quality education," in Indonesian secondary schools. While national policies exist, schools lack a systematic digital tool to plan, monitor, and evaluate sustainability-based activities against concrete SDG indicators. To bridge this gap, this study employs a six-cycle design science research (DSR) methodology to develop a theoretical model for a sustainable education information system. The model is designed to integrate SDG principles into school management, enabling systematic data handling, adaptive curriculum functions, and real-time monitoring. A web-based prototype was developed using a React.js frontend and Node.js backend and evaluated through a mixed-methods approach. Data from interviews with 15 administrators and surveys of 97 teachers (yielding a usability satisfaction score of 4.34/5) validated the model’s effectiveness in making educational administration more efficient, transparent, and quality-oriented. The resulting artifact serves as a foundational technical and managerial reference for schools, education offices, and policymakers to leverage information technology in fostering a sustainable, participatory learning culture aligned with the SDGs.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the healthcare sector demands optimization of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS), including system information X at RSUD X, which still faces technical and usability challenges. This study aims to analyze the relationship between human, organizational, and technological factors and net benefits using the HOT-Fit model. The study used a quantitative, analytical descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The population was 117 SIMRS users with a sample of 91 respondents using the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research instrument was a 38-item Likert questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the Spearman correlation test. The results showed that all variables had a significant relationship with net benefits, with moderate strengths for human (r=0.560) and organizational (r=0.573), and strong for technology (r=0.659). In addition, most respondents gave positive assessments on all HOT-Fit dimensions, although there were still obstacles in access speed and technical services. The conclusion of this study shows that technological factors are the main determinant in increasing SIMRS benefits, supported by the role of human and organizational factors. System optimization requires infrastructure improvements, ongoing training, and consistent organizational support.

Abstract

This study focuses on examining how information technology implementation and organizational culture affect employee work motivation, with an emphasis on leadership style at PT PLN (Persero) UID North Sumatra. A quantitative approach was adopted for this study, where data were collected through questionnaires. This study involved a sample of 100 employees, selected through a census method. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that information technology implementation and organizational culture had a positive and significant effect on leadership style. Furthermore, organizational culture and leadership style also had a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation. On the other hand, information technology implementation did not have a direct effect on work motivation. However, leadership style was found to act as a mediator between the impact of information technology implementation and organizational culture on employee work motivation. Therefore, it can be concluded that leadership style is very important in improving employee work motivation by utilizing information technology and cultivating a positive organizational culture.

Abstract

Although prior tourism research has examined service quality, destination security, and tourist satisfaction separately, limited studies have structurally integrated these variables to explain tourists’ quality of life, particularly in secondary urban destinations. Drawing on service quality and well-being perspectives, this study examines the mediating role of tourist satisfaction in linking information service quality and destination security to tourists’ quality of life in Bukittinggi. Data were collected through an online survey using purposive sampling, involving 70 respondents who had previously visited Bukittinggi. The measurement model met validity and reliability criteria (AVE > 0.50; CR > 0.70). Structural relationships were analyzed using PLS-SEM with bootstrapping. The results show that information service quality significantly affects tourist satisfaction (β = 0.204, p < 0.05) and quality of life (β = 0.215, p < 0.05), while destination security significantly influences satisfaction (β = 0.732, p < 0.001) but not quality of life directly. The model explains 81.1% of the variance in satisfaction and 82.0% in quality of life. Mediation analysis confirms that tourist satisfaction fully mediates the effect of destination security and partially mediates the influence of information service quality. These findings underscore the role of satisfaction as a mechanism translating service and security perceptions into well-being outcomes. However, the small non-probability sample and self-reported data may limit generalizability.

Abstract

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Mendale Village Council in Central Aceh Regency has faced a range of public service challenges, including the low uptake of technology by village officials. This study aims to develop and implement an e-government-based Integrated Village Information System (SIMADU) in Mendale Village, Central Aceh Regency, to improve the quality of village public services. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, with data collected through observation, interviews, and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs). Qualitative data from interviews and FGDs were analysed using NVivo software to identify the needs and issues regarding village services. The results indicate that the Mendale Village Government requires an integrated information system to address administrative services that remain manual, limited transparency of information, and suboptimal management of BUMDes and tourism potential. SIMADU was developed and implemented through the stages of system planning, training for village officials, demonstrations, and implementation. This research produced a concept for the SIMADU website that integrates administrative services, BUMDes management, tourism information, health services, and cultural information as a model for digital-based public services at the village level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze communication management in the implementation of public information disclosure as a primary instrument for promoting accountability in regional governance. In the era of digital democracy, transparency is not merely a regulatory obligation stipulated in Law No. 14 of 2008, but rather a strategic communication strategy to build public trust. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID), observations of regional government digital communication channels, and documentation studies of public information access reports. The results indicate that communication management, including planning the Public Information List (DIP) and interactive use of digital platforms, positively contributes to public accountability. However, this study identified structural barriers in the form of sectoral egos between regional government agencies (OPD) and cultural barriers in the form of a closed bureaucratic culture that views information as an instrument of power. The study's conclusions confirm that professionally managed information disclosure can transform accountability from a mere administrative formality to a real public accountability. Successful communication management ultimately strengthens public oversight and ensures the sustainability of regional development through social capital in the form of public trust.
