Abstract

Visual media is believed to help students understand reading better because it presents abstract concepts in concrete visual forms. This media also increases motivation, engagement, and active interaction between teachers and students. This research is motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 13 Pelangai Kecil. The purpose of this research is to describe the application and effectiveness of visual media in improving these skills. Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis & McTaggart model was conducted in three cycles with nine students as subjects. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, then analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that visual media increased teacher and student activity as well as learning outcomes. The average student score increased from 65.5 (Cycle I) to 72.2 (Cycle II) and reached 91.1 (Cycle III). Classical completion increased from 44.4% (Cycle I) to 55.6% (Cycle II) and 88.9% (Cycle III). The study concluded that image media effectively improved students' reading comprehension skills.

Abstract

Children with intellectual disabilities generally experience obstacles in their academics, one of which is in mathematics lessons, namely performing multiplication operations at school. Based on the results of assessments that have been carried out in special schools, there are children who cannot perform multiplication operations from 1 to 10. The results of the identification and assessment conducted by researchers are based on the identification instrument for children with special needs and numeracy assessments. The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of the GASING method (Easy, Fun, and Enjoyable). The selection of research subjects uses the identification instrument for children with special needs and numeracy assessments. This study uses a single subject research form with a multiple baseline cross variable design. The research subject is one person with the aspect of performing multiplication operations from 1 to 10. Data were collected through performance tests and the tools used are multiplication operation performance test instruments and data processing used are percentages. Data analysis is made in the form of visual graphic analysis consisting of analysis within conditions and analysis between conditions. The results of the study show an increase in performing multiplication operations from 1 to 10 after being given the GASING method. It is recommended that teachers use the GASING method to help children perform multiplication operations.

Abstract

PBL is a student-centered learning model oriented towards authentic problem solving. Through PBL stages such as problem orientation, data collection, group discussions, and presentations, students are encouraged to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively. Through PBL stages such as problem orientation, data collection, group discussions, and presentations, students are encouraged to think critically, creatively, and collaboratively.This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on the learning outcomes of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 05 Salido Kecil. This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students due to the lack of active involvement in the learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method of one group pretest-posttest design. The sample in this study amounted to 18 fifth-grade students. The instruments used were multiple-choice tests, observation sheets, and documentation. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and t-test. The results showed a significant increase in learning outcomes. The average pretest score of 66 increased to 80 in the posttest. The t-value of 5.833 is greater than the t-table of 1.713 with a significance of 0.052. This indicates that the PBL model has a positive effect on IPAS learning outcomes.

Abstract

Transforming raw materials into processed products is key to creating higher economic value. Currently, most pineapple harvests are sold directly to middlemen, despite the fruit's immense potential for processing into a wide variety of products, from food and beverages to industrial raw materials. This research aims to explore the economic potential of pineapple processing as a natural resource utilization based on local wisdom. Pineapple is an agricultural commodity widely produced by rural communities, but its utilization has so far been limited to fresh consumption. Using a qualitative approach with a case study in one pineapple production center, this research explores various pineapple processing products, such as jam, chips, syrup, and preserves, that have added economic value. The results indicate that pineapple processing can significantly increase community income, create new jobs, and strengthen local economic resilience. Furthermore, this activity also reflects local wisdom practices that preserve natural resources. The research recommends the need for technological support, training, and market access to optimize the economic potential of pineapple processing.

Abstract

The achievement of learning objectives is inseparable from the primary role of the teacher. A teacher is not only required to impart knowledge, but also to create a pleasant learning environment so that the learning process can proceed actively. Purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of fifth-grade Indonesian students by using the jigsaw method in Indonesian language learning at SDN 29 Rantau Batu Pasar in the 2024/2025 academic year. As a classroom action research (CAR), the research instruments used were teacher activity sheets, affective assessment sheets, and learning outcome test sheets. The procedure consists of 4 stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of this study indicate that students' comprehension ability (C2) can be improved by using the Jigsaw method, where in Cycle I there was an increase from 67% to 69%, and in Cycle II it increased to 78,1%. While the ability of cooperation (A2) increased from 56% to 72%, and in Cycle II. Thus, it is clear that the learning outcomes of fifth-grade Indonesian at SDN 29 Rantau Batu Pasar can be improved by applying the Jigsaw Method.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the wordwall method has an effect on student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education for seventh grade students at SMP Islam Tahfizh Darusshomad 2 Kalijaga Tengah. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quantitative experimental research design. This study was conducted at SMP Islam Tahfizh Darusshomad 2 Kalijaga Tengah. The sample for this study consisted of 30 seventh-grade students. Sampling was conducted using the purposive sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the wordwall method has an effect on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education for seventh-grade students at SMP Islam Tahfizh Darusshomad 2 Kalijaga Tengah. This can be seen from the hypothesis test results which show a significance value (p-value) of 0.000 (smaller than 0.05), so that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores of student learning outcomes after the application of the wordwall method. The difference in the average scores between the pretest and posttest of 6.100 points also shows a significant increase in student learning outcomes. This is reinforced by a t-value of -16.800, which indicates a very significant difference between the results before and after the treatment, with a total of 30 students as respondents.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of education as the key to the progress of the nation and the formation of character based on Islamic values. However, many Islamic educational institutions experience ups and downs in leadership quality that have an impact on the character of students, which is due to the lack of prophetic leadership examples in the style of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the prophetic leadership concept of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as well as his educational strategies in building a generation with noble character. The method used is literature review by reviewing various relevant journals, articles, and books in the last 10 years to obtain a strong theoretical foundation. The results of the study show that prophetic leadership based on four main values—siddiq (honest), amanah (trustworthy), fathonah (intelligent), and tabligh (communicative)—is an effective ideal leadership model in modern Islamic education. The educational strategy of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ which integrates spiritual, moral, and scientific aspects has proven to be able to produce superior generations and trustworthy leaders. The implications of this study affirm the importance of applying prophetic values in education management to improve the quality of institutions and job satisfaction of educators.

Abstract

The application of audio-visual learning media in elementary schools, especially in Pancasila Education subjects, has an impact not only on the effectiveness of understanding the material but also on improving students' social skills. This study aims to determine the influence of audio-visual learning media on the learning interest of grade IV students in Pancasila Education subjects. The background of this research is based on the low interest of students in learning Pancasila Education material which is theoretical and contextual. The method used in this study is Kuantitative with a quasi-experimental approach, which involves two classes, namely the experimental class that uses audio-visual media and the control class that uses conventional methods. The data collection technique is by learning interest questionnaires, observation and documentation. The results of the study show that the use of audio-visual learning media significantly increases students' interest in learning, which can be seen from the increased enthusiasm, attention and activeness of students during the learning process. The conclusion of this study is that audio visual learning media has a positive effect on increasing students' learning interest in Pancasila Education subjects.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how to implement the demonstration method in teaching fiqh on wudhu, and to analyze the extent to which the application of this method can help improve the learning achievement of seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants included the principal, fiqh teachers, and seventh grade students at MTs Al-Ma'arif Mujur Praya Timur. The results showed that the demonstration method was implemented by the teacher demonstrating the procedure for wudhu directly in front of the students, then asking the students to imitate it in turns while being guided and corrected if there were any mistakes. This process enables students to not only understand the theory but also be able to practice wudu correctly. The application of the demonstration method has been proven to help improve student learning achievement, both in cognitive aspects (knowledge of the pillars and requirements of wudu), affective aspects (interest, motivation, and positive attitudes in learning), and psychomotor aspects (skills in practicing wudu in accordance with Islamic law). Therefore, it can be concluded that the demonstration method is an effective learning strategy in improving students' understanding and skills in fiqh learning.

Abstract

In facing the challenges students face in reading, teachers need to be proactive in providing guidance to help them overcome obstacles that hinder the learning process. This research aims to explain the reading problems faced by students and the teachers' efforts to solve them in class I-VI of SDN 41 Karang Tangah. The method applied in this research is a qualitative approach. Researchers used various data collection techniques including observation, interviews and document analysis involving research subjects consisting of class I-VI homeroom teachers and class I-VI students at SDN 41 Karang Tangah. The research results showed that there were class I-VI students who experienced difficulties in reading, such as lack of reading fluency, frequent mistakes, difficulty in distinguishing similar letters, and errors in pronouncing words or sound symbols. The efforts taken by teachers to overcome the reading difficulties of class I-VI students at SDN 41 Karang Tangah, have been quite effective. Teachers use interesting and interactive learning methods, such as picture letter books, and strengthen students' self-confidence and motivation through praise. In addition, teachers do not blame students and provide special remedial programs to improve their reading skills.
