Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institution management in improving the quality of educational services. The study is based on the importance of effective and well-organized management as a foundation for delivering quality early childhood education. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was used by analyzing 20 relevant national and international journal articles published between 2018 and 2025. The selected articles met the criteria of relevance, publication period, and academic credibility. The findings show that the improvement of PAUD service quality is strongly influenced by the effective implementation of key management functions, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring. Clear and structured planning helps institutions design programs that align with children's developmental needs. Effective leadership and organizational practices also support better coordination and institutional performance. In addition, human resource management plays an important role in enhancing educators' professionalism through proper recruitment and continuous professional development. These efforts directly affect the quality of learning experiences provided to children. Continuous evaluation and quality control further ensure consistency and sustainability of services. This study provides an integrated conceptual understanding that can support the development of effective and sustainable strategies for improving PAUD service quality.

Abstract

The current reality of education in Indonesia shows that the leadership of school principals is often more administrative than inspirational, causing teachers' work culture to tend to be monotonous and less adaptive to the demands of the Independent Curriculum. This study aims to analyze the influence of principal leadership on teacher work culture in improving the quality of learning at SD Negeri 1 Mulyoharjo, Jepara Regency. A correlational quantitative approach was used with a sample of 10 active teachers through a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire (20 items: 10 for variable X, 10 for Y). Data analysis included descriptive statistics, Pearson Product Moment correlation test, and simple linear regression. The results show that the average principal leadership score is 4.32 (high category) and the teacher work culture score is 4.65 (very high), but there is a weak negative correlation (rxy = -0.4097; p=0.2397>0.05) with an influence of 16.8% (R²=0.168; Y=71.60-0.581X). The novelty of this study lies in the finding that in schools with a mature work culture, leadership acts as a situational facilitator (Fiedler's contingency theory, 1967), not a major determinant, in contrast to Burns' transformational theory (1978), which dominates Indonesian literature. Implications: Principals need to adopt the Hersey-Blanchard delegative style for professional teachers.

Abstract

Teachers’ pedagogical abilities in delivering instruction have not yet reached an optimal level, and professionalism remains a key element in improving educational quality. The Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) functions as an essential support mechanism for fostering teachers’ ongoing professional growth. This study seeks to examine the effectiveness of the Teacher Professional Allowance in strengthening teacher professionalism at SD Negeri 171 Palembang, focusing on the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, incorporating observations, interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed through processes of reduction, organization, and conclusion drawing. The results demonstrate that the Teacher Professional Allowance contributes positively to teachers’ performance as professional educators. The allowance enhances teachers’ motivation to prepare well-developed learning materials and utilize engaging, interactive teaching approaches, which in turn contribute to improved learning achievements. Overall, the study concludes that teacher professionalism is closely influenced by their attitudes and conduct in fulfilling their responsibilities. The findings are consistent with Glickman’s theory, which posits that professional educators exhibit strong competencies and high motivation, enabling effective learning processes and the attainment of quality educational outcomes.

Abstract

This investigation is grounded in the need for creative and engaging instructional media to enhance learning quality at the primary school level. A quantitative method with a descriptive–correlational design was employed. The research population consisted of all teachers working in public elementary schools within the district, and the sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique centered on Cluster 6. This cluster includes six schools with a total of 69 participating teachers. Data were collected through a questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale, designed to assess three variables: educational play tools (X₁), teachers’ learning motivation (X₂), and students’ learning outcomes (Y). Each variable comprised 30 items. The data were analyzed using Pearson Product–Moment correlation and multiple regression, processed with SPSS version 26. The findings indicate that (1) educational play tools contribute positively and significantly to students’ learning outcomes (r = 0.564; sig. 0.000 < 0.05, suggesting a moderate-to-strong correlation), (2) teachers’ learning motivation shows a positive but statistically insignificant relationship with students’ learning outcomes (r = 0.208; sig. 0.086 > 0.05, indicating a weak and non-significant effect), and (3) both variables jointly exert a positive and significant influence on students’ learning outcomes (R = 0.601; sig. 0.000 < 0.05, reflecting a strong combined effect).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy and religious guidance on students' employability skills with learning engagement as a mediating variable. The study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The research sample consisted of 52 active students in at least their third semester, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the analysis show that all research instruments meet the criteria for validity and reliability. Digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on students' learning engagement and employability skills, while religious guidance has a positive and significant effect on learning engagement, but does not have a significant direct effect on employability skills. In addition, learning engagement has a positive and significant effect on students' employability skills. The mediation test shows that learning engagement does not significantly mediate the effect of digital literacy on employability skills, but shows a tendency to be a partial mediator in the relationship between religious guidance and employability skills.

Abstract

The quality of education is largely determined by the availability and management of adequate facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to analyze the management system for educational facilities and infrastructure and its impact on improving the quality of education in Islamic schools (madrasahs). The research method used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews with madrasah principals and administrative staff, and documentation studies at junior high schools (madrasahs). Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to illustrate the management patterns implemented. The results indicate that effective management of facilities and infrastructure encompasses four main stages: needs planning based on analysis of real conditions, procurement according to quality standards and priorities, optimal utilization in the learning process, and routine maintenance to maintain functionality. Madrasahs with a structured and systematic management system show significant improvements in the quality of learning, reflected in increased student motivation, teacher teaching effectiveness, and academic achievement. The study's conclusion emphasizes that professional and sustainable management of facilities and infrastructure is a strategic investment for improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

The improvement of educational quality has become a strategic necessity in facing global challenges. Therefore, an effective management framework such as the Juran Trilogy, which includes quality planning, quality control, and quality improvement, is essential. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Juran Trilogy concept in enhancing educational quality by utilizing secondary data obtained from various scientific articles and previous research findings. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, involving document review and content analysis of scholarly publications that discuss the application of the Juran Trilogy concept within the educational context. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, tendencies, and conceptual meanings related to the implementation of the Juran Trilogy in educational quality management practices. The results indicate that the consistent application of the Juran Trilogy concept has a positive impact on improving educational quality, particularly in aspects of planning, process control, and continuous improvement, although challenges remain in maintaining its consistent implementation in practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of flowcharts as a strategic instrument in improving the performance of educational organizations, with a scope covering administrative, academic, and curriculum development aspects. Through a qualitative literature study approach to academic sources (journals, books, quality guides) published between 2010 and 2025, it was found that the systematic application of flowcharts can simplify procedures, reduce redundancy, minimize procedural errors, and accelerate responses to change. Key findings indicate that educational organizations that integrate flowcharts into their operational governance tend to be more transparent, accountable, and adaptive to the dynamics of the modern educational environment. In conclusion, flowcharts are not merely technical tools, but rather essential managerial strategies in the transformation of educational organizations towards process-based governance. The implication is that educational institutions are advised to adopt flowcharts as an integral part of their quality management systems and integrate them into digital platforms for real-time updates.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the concept and practice of quality-based budgeting as a strategy to support the achievement of educational accreditation and improve institutional performance. The method used is a literature review, analyzing various scientific sources, including books, journal articles, and policy documents relevant to educational budgeting, quality management, and accreditation standards. The study results indicate that quality-based budgeting functions not only as a mechanism for allocating financial resources but also as a strategic instrument linking budget planning to the fulfillment of quality standards and accreditation indicators. This approach has been proven to promote transparency, efficiency, and effectiveness in financial management, while strengthening the internal quality assurance system of educational institutions. The discussion emphasizes that the integration of budgeting and quality management is crucial because accreditation assesses the conformity between educational inputs, processes, and outputs. Therefore, the implementation of quality-based budgeting contributes to increased institutional accountability and the sustainability of educational quality. These findings imply the need for quality-oriented financial management policies as a basis for achieving optimal and sustainable accreditation outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Buya Hamka’s educational leadership thought within the framework of modern situational leadership and its relevance in optimizing students’ readiness at SD Negeri Kereo 3 in facing the Academic Ability Test (Tes Kemampuan Akademik/TKA). The issue addressed in this study arises from the challenge of elementary schools in preparing students not only cognitively but also psychologically and motivationally for standardized academic assessments, which requires adaptive, humanistic, and context-sensitive school leadership. This research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. The findings reveal three main themes: leadership based on moral exemplarity and empathy, the application of situational leadership in academic guidance, and the holistic strengthening of students’ academic readiness. The integration of Buya Hamka’s leadership values with modern situational leadership principles contributes to the creation of a supportive academic climate and enhances students’ readiness to face TKA. This study provides a theoretical contribution to the development of value-based educational leadership grounded in local wisdom and offers practical implications for strengthening leadership practices in elementary schools to support students’ academic readiness.
