Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s management in developing students’ character at SMP Don Bosco Manado based on the Merdeka Curriculum. The study focuses on how the principal plans, implements, and evaluates character development programs, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the principal has effectively applied management based on the Merdeka Curriculum through program planning, teacher development, and student activity evaluation. The character development programs have successfully enhanced students’ discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and religious attitude. Supporting factors include teacher support, school facilities, and student participation, while inhibiting factors include limited time and external environmental influences. In conclusion, the principal’s role is strategic in shaping students’ character, and effective management positively impacts the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Objektif: Penelitian ini menganalisis peran audit mutu internal dalam sistem penjaminan mutu pendidikan di sekolah menengah, khususnya dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, kinerja guru, dan tata kelola sekolah yang efektif. Fokusnya pada audit mutu internal sebagai instrumen evaluasi dan perbaikan mutu berkelanjutan. Metode: Pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi literatur digunakan, melalui analisis kritis buku, jurnal, dan dokumen kebijakan terkait audit mutu internal. Data dianalisis deskriptif-analitis dengan mengaitkan temuan pada teori penjaminan mutu, efektivitas organisasi, dan akuntabilitas pendidikan. Hasil: Audit mutu internal berperan penting dalam siklus penjaminan mutu pendidikan, mendorong peningkatan kinerja guru, kualitas pembelajaran, serta transparansi dan akuntabilitas sekolah. Kendala utama meliputi keterbatasan kompetensi auditor, resistensi warga sekolah, dan tindak lanjut yang kurang optimal. Kebaruan: Penelitian menegaskan audit mutu internal sebagai instrumen strategis dan edukatif untuk membentuk budaya mutu sekolah, bukan sekadar alat pengawasan administratif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze comprehensively the management of the Al-Qur’an memorization (tahfidz) program at MAN 2 Malang City, focusing on program planning, implementation, supervision, memorization strategies, indicators of success, and institutional strategies in addressing implementation challenges within a formal madrasah setting. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, tahfidz coordinator, teachers, and students, supported by direct observation and document analysis. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while triangulation techniques were applied to ensure validity and credibility. The findings indicate that the tahfidz program is systematically designed and aligned with the madrasah’s vision and mission. Implementation integrates structured memorization methods, particularly tikrar and muraja’ah, accompanied by continuous supervision and periodic evaluation. Program success is reflected in the achievement of memorization targets, accuracy in tajwid application, consistency in muraja’ah, and the strengthening of students’ religious character. The study offers novelty by presenting a holistic educational management perspective that integrates managerial functions with character formation in a public madrasah context.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of pedagogical competence and teaching motivation on teacher performance at public junior high schools (SMP Negeri) in the Buay Pemuka Peliung Subdistrict, East OKU Regency. Specifically, this study aimed to investigate the effect of pedagogical competence on teacher performance, the effect of teaching motivation on teacher performance, and the simultaneous effect of pedagogical competence and teaching motivation on teacher performance. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri in the Buay Pemuka Peliung Subdistrict, East OKU Regency using a descriptive quantitative research method. The sample consisted of fifty respondents, and data were collected using questionnaires. The results indicated that pedagogical competence and teaching motivation each partially affect teacher performance. Simultaneously, both pedagogical competence and teaching motivation influence teacher performance. The contribution of the independent variables, namely pedagogical competence, teaching motivation, and training, to teacher performance was very high, while the remaining influence came from other factors such as skills and expertise, knowledge, work planning, personality, organizational culture, and job satisfaction.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged educational institutions to utilize online-based systems in the student admission process. The implementation of online recruitment is expected to improve the effectiveness of student admissions through easier access, wider dissemination of information, and more efficient administrative management. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of online recruitment in attracting qualified student candidates at Madrasah Aliyah Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation involving the admission committee, new students, and parents. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The results indicate that online recruitment increases the number of applicants, accelerates administrative processes, and improves cost efficiency through the use of digital media. However, the quality of applicants is still determined through a selection process based on the academic and religious standards established by the madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of using Canva based presentation design to increase student learning motivation in the Islamic Religious Education subject at SMK Darul Amal. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through classroom observation, unstructured interviews with one teacher and twelve eleventh grade students, and document analysis. The collected data were validated using triangulation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results revealed that planning which integrated visual aesthetics successfully captured students' initial attention. During the implementation stage, students did not merely listen to lectures but actively engaged in groups to design Islamic history posters using laptops. This direct involvement was evaluated to have a major impact on increasing learning motivation, evidenced by the elimination of boredom, longer focus spans, and increased student confidence to participate in discussions. The novelty of this study lies in the shifting function of the Canva application, which was originally used strictly as a one-way presentation media by the teacher, transforming into a collaborative workspace that perfectly matches the practical learning characteristics of vocational high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the comparison of leadership role models between school principals and madrasa principals from an educational perspective and to provide a more comprehensive understanding of the differences in their leadership characteristics. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a comparative descriptive design through a literature study by utilizing various sources such as scientific journals, academic books, and relevant previous research. The data were analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing techniques. The results show that school principal leadership tends to focus on innovation, professional management, and adaptation to digital technology development, while madrasa principal leadership emphasizes the integration of educational innovation with the internalization of religious values. These differences are influenced by institutional characteristics, regulations, and educational goals of each institution. The novelty of this study lies in the comparative analysis that examines both leadership models within an integrated framework, thereby providing new insights into the differences and uniqueness of leadership in schools and madrasas.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi guru, sarana prasarana, dan pelayanan administrasi terhadap kepuasan siswa di SMAN 1 Tungkal Jaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei . Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMAN 1 Tungkal Jaya yang berjumlah 462 siswa, dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Dari jumlah tersebut, sebanyak 420 siswa menjadi responden penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket menggunakan google from yang kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Square (PLS) dengan bantuan aplikasi SmartPLS 4.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi guru berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan siswa dengan nilai t-statistic sebesar 2,079 > 1,96 dan p-value sebesar 0,038 < 0,05. Sarana prasarana juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan siswa dengan nilai t-statistic sebesar 9,077 > 1,96 dan p-value sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Selanjutnya, pelayanan administrasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan siswa dengan nilai t-statistic sebesar 2,391 > 1,96 dan p-value sebesar 0,017 < 0,05. Secara simultan, kompetensi guru, sarana prasarana, dan pelayanan administrasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan siswa dengan nilai R-Square sebesar 0,656, yang menunjukkan bahwa ketiga variabel tersebut mampu menjelaskan 65,6% variasi kepuasan siswa. Temuan ini memberikan informasi pentingnya kompetensi guru, sarana prasarana dan pelayanan administrasi terhadap kepuasan siswa di SMAN 1 Tungkal Jaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Integrated Dynamic Archival Information System (SRIKANDI) in correspondence management at the Pati Regency Archives and Library Office as part of the government’s digital transformation. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation of informants directly involved in using the system. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis techniques, referencing DeLone and McLean’s information system success model, which encompasses system quality, information quality, service quality, usage, user satisfaction, and net benefits. indicate that the implementation of SRIKANDI has improved the efficiency of mail management, accelerated administrative processes, and supported more effective coordination and integration among agencies. Additionally, this system facilitates easier access to information and more structured digital records management. However, several challenges remain in its implementation, such as internet connectivity issues, limited human resource capabilities, and the underutilization of certain system features. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance human resource capacity, strengthen technological infrastructure, and conduct continuous system evaluations to support the optimization of SRIKANDI’s implementation in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the Head of the Administration Subdivision and Administrative Staff at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City, identify obstacles that affect performance, and examine strategies implemented to overcome existing obstacles to support the effectiveness of school administrative services.: This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions by means of source triangulation and technical triangulation to ensure data validity. The results of the study indicate that the performance of the Head of the Administration Subdivision at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City is in the very good category based on indicators of work quality, work quantity, timeliness, effectiveness of resource utilization, need for supervision, and personal integrity. Meanwhile, the performance of the Administrative Staff at SMA Negeri 6 Jambi City is in the fairly good to good category, although there are several aspects that need to be improved, especially in the aspects of time discipline, technology utilization, and archiving systems. The novelty of this study lies in the integrated analysis of administrative performance, as well as strategies to overcome obstacles and improve the effectiveness of school administrative services.
