Abstract

The Procrastination at Work Scale (PAWS) is an instrument that can be used to measure the level of procrastination that occurs in employees. Procrastination can make employees slow in completing assigned tasks. This research aims to obtain a standardized PAWS to be used in Indonesia. PAWS consists of two dimensions, namely soldiering and cyberslacking, and has a total of 12 items. PAWS was analyzed using the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) method. The analysis results found that PAWS is an instrument with good validity and reliability values. The items contained in it can also measure the workplace procrastination level. However, PAWS is suggested to be a unidimensional instrument.

Abstract

The transition of learning from online to offline has an impact that can be a problem for its implementation if students cannot adapt properly. The low ability of students in the adaptation process will cause negative reactions that arise not only from physical reactions but also psychologically due to academic demands and pressure to adapt quickly to environmental changes. This situation makes students vulnerable to experiencing academic stress. This research aims to see the relationship between academic resilience and academic self-efficacy of students in dealing with academic stress due to the transition of the learning system. Academic resilience is measured using the Academic Resilience Scale (ARS-30), academic self-efficacy is measured using The Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (TASES), and academic stress is measured using the academic stress inventory. The sample was 354 students of University X. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis techniques. The results showed that academic resilience and academic self-efficacy predicted academic stress (R-squared equals .137; p less than .01) during the transition from online to offline learning.

Abstract

Increasingly tight job competition means that workers often ignore work-related fatigue conditions, which can negatively impact workers and organizations, resulting in decreased health and work effectiveness and even work accidents. In order to prevent this, proper work-related fatigue management is needed. This research examines the role of intrinsic motivation as a mediator in the relationship between organizational support and quantitative workload with work-related fatigue. This research is quantitative research with a survey method. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling. The measuring instruments used are the Occupational Fatigue Exhaustion/Recovery Scale (OFER), the Quantitative Workload Inventory (QWI), the short version of the Survey of Perceived Organizational Support (SPOS), and the Situational Motivation Scale (SIMS). Data analysis used path analysis and bootstrapping in SmartPLS 3.0. The analysis results show no mediating role for intrinsic motivation in the relationship between organizational support and quantitative workload with work-related fatigue. A high quantitative workload triggers increased work-related fatigue, so it needs to be balanced with sufficient organizational support.

Abstract

The emergence of an online community named involuntary celibates (incel), which is widely known for its attitude that condones sexual aggression, is seen as a new threat of violence in Western society. Even though the incel community has not been identified in Indonesia, the shared experience incels have can happen to single men in general. This research aims to test the role of unwanted celibacy in predicting attitudes toward sexual aggression in the Indonesian context, where an incel community is yet to be found. This research uses a quantitative method with 223 single men as participants. The result shows support for the hypothesis that unwanted celibacy does have a role in predicting attitudes toward sexual aggression. Unwanted celibacy is also found to be higher in involuntary single men than in voluntary single men. This research contributes to extending research on unwanted celibacy and involuntary singlehood.

Abstract

This research explores the relationship between alexithymia tendencies and TikTok addiction among adolescents in Jakarta. A total of 300 adolescents aged 18–24 who use TikTok for at least three hours per day participated in this quantitative research. Data were collected using the Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20) and the Social Media Addiction Scale-Short Form (SMAS-SF) to measure levels of alexithymia tendencies and TikTok addiction. Data analysis used bivariate correlation or Pearson’s correlation coefficient by SPSS for Windows 26 to assess the relationship between the two variables. Results from two-tailed testing with a significance level of .01 (1%) revealed a positive correlation of .299. These findings indicate that higher levels of alexithymia are associated with higher levels of TikTok addiction.
