Abstract

Agrotourism, developed in Alamendah Village since 2011, has opened new economic opportunities that have transformed the residents' livelihoods from agricultural activities to those related to the tourism sector. This study aims to examine the household livelihood structure in Alamendah Village, in relation to the presence of agrotourism in the area. The research design utilized is quantitative. The research methods employed are survey research and in-depth interviews using questionnaires as tools. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive statistical analysis and cross tabulation. The results show that the majority of farmers in Alamendah Village have low incomes, while traders have higher incomes. Agrotourism has the potential as an economic opportunity and a source of additional income that can help improve the local community's economy by considering factors such as age, education, and gender.

Abstract

Potatoes or Solanum tuberosum L is one type of vegetable that is prioritized for development. The demand for potatoes also continues to increase from year to year. However, the dynamics of procurement of seed potato varieties are in fact only slightly adopted because they do not consider farmers' preferences and perceptions. This study aims to measure farmers' preferences for industrial seed potatoes in Garut Regency. This study used a quantitative method with a descriptive approach involving 100 respondents using conjoint analysis. The research locations were in two sub-districts in Garut Regency. The results of the study show that farmers' preferences for industrial potato seeds in Garut Regency lead to the subattribute of seeds free of plant disrupting organisms. Thus, these subattributes have the greatest influence on farmers' preferences in choosing industrial potato seeds. The need for assistance and empowerment of farmers from related parties in order to ensure the availability and affordability of certified superior potato seeds on the market.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memastikan dan menguji hubungan antara faktor moneter dan nonmoneter, faktor moneter dan teknis, faktor sosial dan nonmoneter, serta pengaruh faktor sosial, ekonomi, dan teknis terhadap profitabilitas pertanian tembakau mol. Investigasi ini menggunakan metode survei dan berfokus pada produsen tembakau di Kecamatan Sukasari pada tahun 2021. Tujuh puluh enam produsen getah pinus diberi sampel. Data diolah melalui penyesuaian deskriptif analitis dan pengujian hipotesis dengan Program Analisis Jalur SPSS Versi 22. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa aspek sosial dan ekonomi ternyata saling berkorelasi positif satu sama lain. Elemen ekonomi dan teknologi, serta aspek sosial dan teknis, berkorelasi positif. Bagaimana pertanian mol tobbaco telah dipengaruhi oleh perubahan masyarakat, ekonomi, dan teknologi. Keberhasilan penanaman mol tembakau didorong oleh kondisi sosial, ekonomi, dan teknologi yang membaik.

Abstract

This paper aims to find out the actors that play the most role in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of young farmers in West Java. The analysis tool used is centrality analysis based on network theory, using the Gephi 9.2 application. Informants and respondents in this study consisted of actors involved in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of young farmers, including young farmers, government, financial institutions, universities, markets and social communities. The determination of informants is determined purposively, namely by looking at their role and involvement in the business process of young horticultural farmers, spread across Garut Regency, Cianjur Regency and Bandung Regency, West Java. Indicators of the degree of centrality, centrality of proximity, centrality of intermediaries and Eigencentrality, show that social societies are actors that consistently interact and connect a lot with young farmers. The social community acts as a liaison actor between young farmers and other agricultural stakeholders, always providing positive motivation and encouragement for farmers in agricultural activities. Social community actors must remain involved in horticultural agribusiness in West Java, especially champion farmers, community leaders and agricultural communities. Social community actors not only provide support in the aspects of labor and social capital, but become important actors in creating a conducive and productive farming climate, thus becoming an attraction for the younger generation of agriculture.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of motivation and the influence of internal and external factors on the motivation of red onion farmers in Tanggedu, Kanatang District, East Sumba Regency. Determining the sample size in this study used saturated sampling or census, where all members of the population were used as samples. The sample used in this research was 69 respondents who were red onion farmers in Tanggedu. Analysis of the level of farmer motivation was carried out using a Likert scale, then to determine the influence of internal and external factors on farmer motivation an analysis was carried out using the multiple linear regression function model equation. The results of the analysis illustrate that the motivation of farmers in cultivating red onion in Tanggedu is in the very high category. The results of the analysis of the influence of internal factors on motivation explain that partially income, number of family dependents, and farming experience have a significant influence on farmer motivation, while age and education do not have a significant influence. Together, age, education, income, number of family dependents and farming experience have a significant effect on farmers' motivation in cultivating red onion farming in Tanggedu. The results of the analysis of the influence of external factors on motivation explain that partially the market, farming risks, extension and facilities have a significant influence on farmer motivation, while capital institutions do not have a significant influence. Together the market, farming risks, extension, facilities and capital institutions have a significant influence on farmers' motivation in cultivating red onion farming in Tanggedu.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors influencing tourist visits during the Covid-19 pandemic. The sampling method was selected purposively at Taman Seribu Bunga Agrotourism County 1, Raya, Berastagi District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra Province. This sampling method uses Purposive Sampling, which is a sampling technique that is not based on random, region or strata but based on considerations that focus on specific goals with a total of 100 respondents. The results showed that the factors influencing visitor satisfaction were: a) Independent variables (infrastructure with a beta coefficient of 0,426 and promotions with a beta coefficient of 0,315) had a positive effect on visitor satisfaction resources (with a beta coefficient of 0,051 and institutions with a beta path coefficient 0,023) simultaneously has a positive but not significant effect on visitor satisfaction. b) The factors that influence tourist visits are: a) Independent variables (infrastructure with a beta coefficient of 0,475, promotion with a beta coefficient of 0,440 and visitor satisfaction with a beta coefficient of 0,554) have a positive and significant effect on tourists visits and resource (coefficients beta line 0,027 and institutional coefficient beta line 0,152) has a positive but not significant effect on tourist visits.

Abstract

The youth's perception of the agricultural sector determines their participation in agriculture. This negative view of the sector, which is the mainstay of rural development, has resulted in the general aging of farmers in Indonesia. Farmers are portrayed as unsuccessful, dirty, and full of risks, so that many households whose parents do not want their children to work as farmers. Youth perceptions and participation, especially those in families farming, are interesting to assess. The objective of this study is to assess the perceptions and involvement (participation) of farmer's children in rice farming operations conducted by their parents, whether it is positive or negative. The results found that young farmers' children had a fairly positive perception of their family's rice farming, but this was not followed by their participation. The factor of unfavorable grain prices during the harvest is the biggest concern for their family's economic life. Therefore, they are most reluctant to be fully involved in the family farm.

Abstract

Currently, a lot of e-commerce is developing in the field of marketing agricultural products, including fresh and processed organic commodities. This research was conducted to analyze perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude toward using, and the level of use of e-commerce technology for organic fresh and processed products in generations X, Y, and Z, and then analyze the factors that influence the adaptation to the use of e-commerce technology for organic fresh and processed products in generations X, Y, and Z. In this study a survey method was used by distributing questionnaires to consumers. The results of the study show that perceived usefulness is in the good category, in the opinion of the younger generation, marketing platforms such as e-commerce can be used as a market to meet basic food needs. Perceived ease of use is a good category, illustrating that young people really understand the use of technology in purchasing products. Attitude toward using is categorized as good, illustrating that young people are very receptive to the application of e-commerce technology. The level of technology use is in the good category, it can be concluded that there is a desire to use or reuse e-commerce technology. Characteristics influence and significantly affect attitude toward using and intention to use. Perceived usefulness has no effect on attitude toward using and intention to use. The variable perceived ease of use has a significant effect on attitude toward using and intention to use. While the variable attitude toward using has no effect on intention to use.

Abstract

The largest contribution to coconut production came from Sungai Kakap sub-district, amounting to 22,172 per hectare in 2020, however the process of cultivating coconut in Sungai Kakap sub-district only relies on passed down experience and methods of cultivating coconuts according to existing knowledge without any innovation, thus posing a threat that affects production results. and the welfare of farmers so that the coconut farming business they run becomes difficult to develop. The aim of this research is to analyze the characteristics of coconut farming and to analyze the relationship between farming characteristics and coconut production in Punggur Kapuas Village, Sungai Kakap District. The method used in this research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The data sources used in this research are primary data and secondary data. The location of this research was determined purposively, namely based on the consideration that in Punggur Kapuas Village, Sungai Kakap District, there are deep coconut farming businesses, so it helps that the data obtained will provide more representative values. Based on the results of the analysis of coconut farming in Punggur Kapuas village, Sungai Kakap district, it has the potential to be developed intensively and sustainably. Support from the characteristics of farmers who are of productive age and have long farming experience will be able to motivate farmers to improve their farming. The relationship between farming characteristics and coconut production, namely the characteristics of farming experience, has a significant value of 0.005 = 0.05, meaning there is a correlation between the farming experience variable and coconut production. The characteristics of land area have a significance of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there is a correlation between the variable land area and coconut production. Meanwhile, the variables age, education and number of dependents have a significant value of > 0.05, meaning there is no correlation with coconut production.

Abstract

This research has directions to find out the stages of the consumer decision-making process in purchasing premium rice, and how consumer preferences relate to rice attributes in purchasing premium rice in the Modern Market of Baturaja City. This research was conducted by survey method. Samples were taken using the accidental sampling method of 60 consumers of premium rice in the Modern Market, Baturaja City. Data processing was carried out in a quantitative descriptive manner, using conjoint analysis. The results of this study indicate the stages of the purchasing decision process through the stages of need recognition, information search, evaluation of alternatives and purchasing decisions. Consumer preferences related to rice attributes in purchasing premium rice at the Modern Market in Baturaja City consider that the most important attributes are fluffiness, shape, size and color.
