Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation and self-regulated learning through blended learning in the covid-19 era. This study is a quantitative study with correlation study type. Samples were taken using random sampling techniques from all 1st-semester students who took basic physics courses and obtained 67 students consisting of 3 classes. The data was collected using the instrument of motivation and self-regulated learning in the form of a questionnaire which was filled in by the students after participating in basic physics courses using blended learning. The data that has been collected is then analyzed for normality and linearity. The data shows the results are normally distributed and linear so that data analysis can be continued with hypothesis testing using the Pearson product-moment correlation test and the value of R = 0.897 is obtained which is then compared with the R table at a significant level of 0.05, namely 0.244. Because R (0.897)> R table (0.244), it can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between motivation and self-regulated learning with the correlation coefficient value is 0.897 which is classified as very strong. Therefore, students' motivation and self-regulated learning through blended learning in the covid-19 era have a very strong relationship. This could be of concern to teachers and lecturers as facilitators in learning in this Covid-19 era. It is hoped that interesting learning using a blended learning approach can be applied so that student learning motivation increases and has a direct effect on students' desire to manage their own learning.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' science process skills and self-efficacy in light wave and optical instruments learning. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was 8th-grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Banda Aceh, totalling 7 classes. The samples were selected by purposive sampling so that one experimental class and one control class were selected. Data analysis used non-parametric statistics with the Mann-Whitney U test and the calculation of the n-gain score. The results showed that there were significant differences between SPS and self-efficacy students between the implementation of ADI learning model and learning model applied in schools. The n-gain score of SPS and the self-efficacy of the experimental class was higher than the n-gain score of the control class. Therefore, it can be concluded that ADI learning model is effective in enhancing student’s SPS and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Learning science, especially learning astronomy subjects, is still very limited in activities carried out by students. The observation of the sky map provided is adequate as a learning media that can support student curiosity and concept understanding of stars for students. The research aims to explore the relationship between students 'conceptions of the stars using a sky map application, students' perceptions of Heaven Above media and visual literacy in the implementation of learning astronomy courses. Research participants involved 72 students who took astronomy lessons. The instrument consisted of a observation sheet and a questionnaire that had gone through the construct and content validation process. Data analysis using quantitative analysis factor analysis and determines normalized gain to descripe an increase in student visual literacy of stargazing. In addition, the calculation of the proportion questionnaire for students 'conceptions of learning and students' perceptions of the heaven view application then analyzes the factors to show the correlation. The result of this research is understanding that a deeper understanding of the concept and experience of maps is a need of students who can support the learning community in learning to observe more interesting stars. Visual literacy has increased between twice observation.

Abstract

Challenging for teachers in producing learning evaluation instruments that can diagnose students' abilities as well as student misconceptions was important. The diagnostic test four-tiers is one of the best assessment to diagnose students' misconceptions about physics concepts so that Mechanical Wave Concept Inventory has been developed in which form four-tiers diagnostic test. The instrument of the research are student sheet responses, and expert judgment reviews. Research and development frameworks' was included five processes that curriculum analysis processes, creating the design of the product, developing processes, implementing processes, and evaluating processes. The Pearson correlation sig. (2-tailed )resulted in which average r-count coefficient of 0.447 whose test instrument was concluded as valid. Alpha Cronbach's coefficient which was value of 0.90>0.70, so that the instrument was categorized as soon as possible reliable. Expert judgment index in which an average value of 0.87, that is categorized as very good. The quality of the questions was distributed with a classification of 24 good questions, 12 enough questions, and 4 bad questions. The difficulty level of the questions is divided into 7 questions in which easy categories as well as 33 questions in the medium category. Mechanical wave concept inventory was declared valid and reliable as well as good quality.

This research is a Research and Development research by following the steps of the EDDIE model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation and Evaluation). The Analysis stage is an analysis of the initial study on the need for the development of STEM-based Virtual Learning Media. This stage is carried out through survey research. The Design stage is the stage of designing Virtual STEM learning, designing the form of the technology, placing HOT elements, STEM project design, manufacturing techniques, and calculating the size and aesthetics of the media. The Develop stage, making the media into media is declared valid according to the validator, where the validator consists of 2 material experts, 3 media experts, 2 pedagogical experts, and 2 teachers. The Implementation phase is the module testing stage for students. The results obtained were that the project-based STEM virtual learning module was valid with an average assessment score of more than 3. And the results of the module trial on students showed that this module had been declared interesting, useful, and easy to use. The next stage is a project-based virtual STEM module that can be tested through experimental research

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the level of practicality of the electronic physics module based on a scientific approach to fluid materials. Research and development using a 4D model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The practicality test is carried out after the definition and design stages are completed. The research instrument is an observation sheet on the implementation of lesson plans, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and the respondents are teachers and students of class XI MIA in one of the SMAN in Padang City. The method used is descriptive statistics to get the average value and percentage. An electronic physics module based on a scientific approach is said to be practical if the practitioner's assessment states that the module can be applied. Based on the teacher's response, the average percentage of 89.28% met the very practical category and the student's response was 78, 45% met the practical category. Overall, the average percentage of the practicality of the electronic physics module based on this scientific approach is 83.86% in the very practical category. This shows that the electronic physics module based on a scientific approach is easy to use and useful for teachers and students.
