Abstract

This research aims to explore the influence of demographic factors on foreign direct investment (FDI) in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Through related data and literature, we identified that demographic factors such as the low-income population, children suffering from stunting, and low-educated residents can significantly impact FDI flows. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers and investors to understand the dynamics of investment in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The research uses a quantitative method. Data on FDI, the low-income population, children suffering from stunting, and low-educated residents for India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh were obtained from the World Bank. The period covered is from 2015 to 2021. The results show that simultaneously, the low-income population, children suffering from stunting, and low-educated residents significantly affect economic growth, as indicated by a probability (F-statistic) of 0.000000, which is less than 0.05. Individually, the low-income population significantly influences economic growth, as shown by a probability of 0.0000, which is less than 0.05. However, children under five suffering from stunting do not affect economic growth, as indicated by a probability of 0.6023, which is greater than 0.05. Similarly, low-educated residents do not affect economic growth, as indicated by a probability of 0.0646, which is greater than 0.05.

Abstract

This study investigates the performance of equity mutual funds in Indonesia using three performance evaluation techniques, namely the Sharpe Index, Treynor Index, and Jensen's Alpha Index. Equity mutual funds are chosen because, in the world of investment instruments, they have the potential for maximum returns for investors. However, this instrument is also associated with quite high risks, so an accurate performance evaluation is needed to guide investors in making better investment choices. The data set in this study is the daily net asset value (NAV) of several selected equity mutual funds for a certain period. IHSG (Composite Stock Price Index) as a benchmark for market performance. The Sharpe Index is used to measure returns on total risk, the Treynor Index measures return on systematic risk and the Jensen Alpha Index is used to examine whether fund managers can generate additional returns compared to the market. The study was conducted on equity mutual funds that were identified as performing well. However, there are also mutual funds whose returns lag the market benchmark. These findings provide investors with an understanding of the relative performance of equity mutual funds and the need to have selection criteria when choosing these funds

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of brand image, price perception and product quality on purchasing decisions with after sales service as a moderating variable. The population in this study were people who had bought and used Honda brand motorbikes in Jabodetabek and the total sample used was 96 respondents. The sampling method used is cluster random sampling and hypothesis testing using moderation regression analysis method. The results of this study indicate that Price Perception and Product Quality has a significant effect on Purchasing Decisions. Brand Image and After Sales Service has no significant effect on Purchasing Decisions. After Sales Service moderates the effect of Price Perception and Product Quality on Purchasing Decisions, After Sales Service does not moderate Brand Image on Purchasing Decisions. The result of the F test show that Brand Image, Price Perception, and Product Quality simultaneously have a significant effect on Purchasing Decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the level of digital economy development on the business performance of MSMEs in Lhokseumawe, with income as a mediating variable. The study sample consisted of 96 MSMEs selected using the Slovin technique. Data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM second-order model with an embedded two-stage approach. The results show that the digital economy has a positive and significant effect both directly (p-value=0.000, t-statistic=10.201) and indirectly through income (p-value=0.000, t-statistic=5.979) on the business performance of MSMEs. Income also has a positive and significant impact on business performance (p-value=0.000, t-statistic=4.934) and can partially mediate (VAF=41.4%) the relationship between the digital economy and business performance. In conclusion, the digital economy and income play a crucial role in enhancing the business performance of MSMEs. Digitalization is key for MSMEs to strengthen their competitiveness and achieve sustainable growth. Therefore, focusing on digital strategies that enhance income is essential for MSMEs in this digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of promotion and product quality on purchasing decisions for Vivo smartphones with brand ambassadors as moderating variables. The sample used in this research was 135 respondents. Data was collected using a purposive sampling method and hypothesis testing using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of this research show that Promotion has a significant influence on Purchasing Decisions and Product Quality has a significant influence on Purchasing Decisions, Brand Ambassadors can moderate the influence of Promotion and Product Quality on Purchasing Decisions.

Abstract

The economic crisis that hit the world automatically worsened the economic situation in Indonesia in the period from 1997 to 1998. During the crisis, only the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector was able to survive strongly. This phenomenon shows that MSMEs can be productive activities that support economic growth both macro and micro in Indonesia, and have a positive impact on the development of other sectors. Law Number 20 of 2008 concerning Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) stipulates regulations for the MSME sector. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the top priority in national development and the presence of digital technology in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is a very important factor for the development of business lines for industry players or businesses. This study aims to determine the influence of business duration and promotion methods on MSME income in Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency. The methodology used in this study is a quantitative approach where the source of data is obtained directly (primary) through the discourse method and the distribution of questionnaires. The results of this study are that the variables of business duration and promotion simultaneously have a significant influence on MSME income. Meanwhile, partially the business duration variable does not have an effect on MSME income, on the contrary, the Promotion variable has a significant influence on MSME income. The value of the determination coefficient is 90%. This shows that the variables of business duration and promotion variables greatly affect the change in MSME income in Polewali District, Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

Compensation is an important element in an organization that affects the performance and sustainability of human resources. This study aims to analyze the relationship between compensation, motivation, and employee performance with motivation as a mediating variable in the Central Java Education and Culture Office. The study used a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 respondents analyzed using SPSS Statistics 25. The results of the study explain that compensation does not directly affect employee performance but has a significant effect on motivation. Motivation has been shown to have a significant effect on performance and acts as a mediator between compensation and employee performance. The theoretical implication of this study is to enrich the literature on the role of motivation as a mediating variable in the relationship between compensation and employee performance, especially in the context of government agencies. Practically, these results provide insight for human resource managers to focus more on compensation distribution strategies that can improve performance, so that they have a significant effect on employee performance. Proper implementation will help improve performance and achieve institutional goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Current Ratio and Debt to Equity Ratio on the stock price of property sector companies listed on the IDX. The data used in this study are property sector companies from the IDX in 2018-2022 with 12 companies. The method used is regression analysis using SPSS 25.0. The research results show that CR and DER have no effect on the stock price of property sector companies. Adjusted R-squared score 0.4691 (46.91%). This indicates that the contribution of the current ratio, debt to equity ratio to the Stock Price is 46.91% and the remaining 53.09% is influenced by various other variables but are not analyzed in this research. The results of this research are expected to be useful for related institutions and investors in making decisions based on stock prices.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the decision to purchase VIVA products. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Analysis tools with multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing (t, F and coefficient of determination) and model accuracy testing. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence both partially and simultaneously between e-WOM, Beauty Vlogger, Celebrity Endorser on the Decision to Purchase VIVA Products. The determination coefficient value of 0.716 means that e-WOM, Beauty Vlogger, Celebrity Endorser can influence the purchase decision of VIVA products by 71.6% and the remaining 28.4% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the results of the valuation analysis of petrochemical sector stocks in Indonesia using the intrinsic value valuation method and relative valuation by comparing market prices. The research method used to conduct valuation is the intrinsic value approach using Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) with the Discounted Cash Flow (FCFF) model and relative value using the Price to Earnings (P/E), Price to Sales (P/S), and Price to Book Value (PBV) ratios. The sampling technique in this study is Purposive Sampling in accordance with predetermined criteria, namely petrochemical sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019 - 2023. Stock analysis is carried out using the Top-Down Approach, starting with macroeconomic analysis, industry analysis using Porter's Five Forces, and company analysis using financial ratios. The results of intrinsic and relative value valuation that petrochemical sector stocks there are four companies that are considered overvalued, namely, BRPT, TPIA, FPNI, and ADMG. UNIC is the only one that is undervalued with an intrinsic value above the market price. So it is recommended to buy UNIC shares and sell BRPT, TPIA, FPNI, and ADMG.
