Abstract

This study was conducted due to the increasing competition between furniture stores and suppliers in Bitung City, where many suppliers sell directly through social media at lower prices, potentially reducing customer satisfaction for furniture stores. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of Social Media Marketing and Customer Experience on Customer Satisfaction, as well as to examine whether Disconfirmation serves as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was applied using a survey design, with data collected through questionnaires from 157 respondents and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The findings show that Social Media Marketing and Customer Experience have a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction. Both variables also significantly influence Disconfirmation, and Disconfirmation is proven to mediate these relationships. These results indicate that customer satisfaction increases when marketing information and shopping experiences meet expectations, implying that businesses should maintain consistent information and enhance service quality.

Abstract

The rapid growth of social media has driven significant transformations in digital marketing practices and modern marketing management. Social media is no longer used solely as a promotional tool but has evolved into a strategic platform for brand building, consumer engagement, and market expansion, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This study aims to systematically review the literature on social media-based digital marketing management by focusing on strategies, challenges, and opportunities faced by organizations. A literature review method was employed by analyzing relevant national and international journal articles. The findings indicate that key strategies widely discussed in the literature include content marketing, engagement-driven strategies, influencer marketing, and data-driven decision-making. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, such as limited digital skills, difficulties in measuring marketing performance, content management constraints, and reputational risks in social media environments. Conversely, opportunities related to market expansion, marketing personalization, social commerce integration, and digital capacity building offer substantial potential for MSMEs. This study contributes to the theoretical development of digital marketing management by synthesizing fragmented research findings and provides practical insights for business practitioners and policymakers in managing social media-based digital marketing more effectively.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Sharia Good Corporate Governance (GCG) implementation on the financial performance of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Kantor Cabang Pembantu (KCP) Binjai. The research employs a quantitative approach with an associative method. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all employees of BSI KCP Binjai, while secondary data were obtained from financial statements and GCG reports for the period 2022–2024. The independent variable is Sharia GCG implementation, measured through six dimensions: transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness, and Sharia compliance. The dependent variable is financial performance, proxied by Return on Assets (ROA). Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that, simultaneously, Sharia GCG implementation has a significant effect on the financial performance of BSI KCP Binjai. Partially, transparency, accountability, independence, fairness, and Sharia compliance have positive and significant effects on ROA, while responsibility shows a positive but insignificant effect. Sharia compliance is identified as the most dominant factor influencing financial performance. These findings highlight that effective Sharia GCG implementation serves as a strategic mechanism to enhance financial performance and strengthen public trust in Islamic banking institutions.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has increased the importance of logistics services as a critical factor influencing consumer decision-making. This study aims to analyze the effect of service quality on consumer decisions in using Shopee Express (SPX) delivery services in Binjai Selatan. A quantitative approach with a causal research design was employed. Data were collected from 100 respondents who had previously used SPX services through a structured questionnaire measured using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, followed by multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that service quality has a significant influence on consumer decisions. Among the service quality dimensions, reliability has the strongest effect, followed by assurance, tangibles, and responsiveness. Meanwhile, empathy does not have a significant effect on consumer decision-making. The coefficient of determination shows that service quality explains a substantial proportion of consumer decision variance, while the remaining variance is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. These findings emphasize the importance of improving operational reliability and service assurance to enhance consumer trust and maintain competitiveness in the e-commerce logistics industry.

Abstract

Poverty remains a structural issue in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effects of economic growth, investment, and human capital on poverty in Indonesia. The study employs panel data from 33 provinces over the period 2010–2023, obtained from official government sources. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression under the Common Effect Model (CEM) as the preferred estimation model, combined with Driscoll–Kraay robust standard errors to ensure stable and reliable estimates. This approach allows for testing both the partial and simultaneous effects of the independent variables on poverty. The findings indicate that economic growth has a positive and statistically significant effect on poverty, suggesting that growth during the study period has not been fully inclusive and tends to be capital-intensive in nature. In contrast, investment and human capital exhibit negative and statistically significant effects on poverty, implying that both factors contribute to reducing the number of poor individuals. Simultaneously, all independent variables are jointly significant, with a coefficient of determination of 70.23 percent. This study concludes that poverty alleviation strategies should not rely solely on economic growth but must also prioritize productive investment and human capital development in order to achieve inclusive and equitable development.

Abstract

The implementation of good governance principles plays an important role in enhancing the effectiveness of human resources (HR) in public sector organizations. This study aims to analyze the application of transparency, accountability, participation, responsiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency in improving HR effectiveness at the Fisheries Office, Fish Seed Center (BBI) Majaran, Sorong Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using interviews, observations, and documentation. Informants included the head of the center, financial managers, administrative staff, and technical officers. Data were analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing, with source and technique triangulation to ensure validity. The findings indicate that transparency, accountability, and participation have been implemented fairly well, particularly in information disclosure and task distribution. However, responsiveness, effectiveness, and efficiency remain suboptimal due to limitations in HR capacity, infrastructure, technological support, and dependence on parent agency policies. Strengthening HR management, capacity building, technology utilization, and institutional coordination is needed to achieve sustainable HR effectiveness.
