Abstract

This research examines the values of strengthening neuroscience-based character education in learning moral beliefs at Serayu State Elementary School. Moral beliefs are a subject that emphasizes the ability to understand faith, manners, and the good relationship between humans and God. However, learning moral beliefs tends to touch the cognitive domain which is limited to material mastery, while the affective domain is forgotten. Therefore, the aim of this research is to find a new concept in instilling character values in the learning of moral beliefs. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation and documentation. Researchers use data analysis by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The data that has been collected is then described and given meaning, from that meaning a conclusion is drawn. The results of this research show the values of strengthening neuroscience-based character education in learning moral beliefs, namely: regulatory religious values from the temporal lobe of the brain, regulatory mutual cooperation values from the cingulate gyrus and basal ganglia, regulatory nationalist attitudes from the prefrontal cortex, regulatory integrity attitudes from the system. limbic, and self-regulatory attitudes of the cerebellum. If neuroscience-based character education in moral belief lessons is carried out optimally, then this character education can be achieved optimally. The reason is that changing students' behavior is more effective by changing their brains first.

Abstract

The Covid-19 era has brought new habits for students, one of which is taking work as a relaxing activity. This arises because of the comfort zone that was formed to entertain oneself in that era. However, this has negative effects on students' academic aspects, for example academic procrastination. Academic procrastination is influenced by many factors, one of which is emotional regulation. A preliminary study conducted with student interviews at SMAN 10 Palembang showed that students can regulate emotions but they still carry out academic procrastination. This research was carried out using a quantitative correlational model method because it wanted to examine whether or not there was a relationship between emotional regulation and students' academic procrastination and was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 85 students as a sample. The results obtained in this research are the most data at the level of emotional regulation 72% and academic procrastination 69%, which is in the "medium" category and produces -0.057 as a Spearman rank correlation value which shows that there is a very weak and unidirectional relationship between emotional regulation and Academic procrastination in class.

The results of the study revealed that the application of self-hypnosis techniques significantly increased the level of self-control among students. It was found that the experimental group, which received the self-hypnosis technique, experienced a significant improvement in self-control compared to the control group. This finding remained significant even after controlling for initial variables that may have influenced the results, such as the participants' initial level of self-control before the intervention. The findings indicate that self-hypnosis techniques can be an effective strategy for enhancing self-control among students. By utilizing these techniques, students can develop the ability to regulate themselves, manage their emotions, and overcome distractions that may hinder their academic performance and daily lives. The implications of this study highlight the importance of introducing self-hypnosis techniques as part of personal development programs for students.

Abstract

This research investigates the form of collaboration between the Counseling Guidance and Psychology Study Program (BKPI) to realize independent student projects, as well as describing partner institutions' perceptions of the opportunities and challenges of the BKPI Study Program in this context. Using mixed research methods, a qualitative approach is used to understand the form of collaboration and perceptions of institutions, while a quantitative approach is used to analyze the level of BKPI collaboration in student independent projects. Questionnaire results from schools show a high level of agreement with various forms of collaboration, such as field practice (77% strongly agree), research (70% strongly agree), and field studies (71% strongly agree). The institution's perception shows that the BKPI Study Program has significant opportunities to create jobs and transfer new knowledge to students, but also faces challenges such as the diverse cultural backgrounds of clients and a lack of understanding of educational science. In the context of independent projects, the BKPI Study Program is recognized as having great potential to make a positive contribution, especially in career opportunities and the implementation of theoretical knowledge in the world of work. However, challenges such as the diverse cultural backgrounds of clients and the complexity of the problems faced represent areas that need to be considered in developing student independent projects in the BKPI field.
