Abstract

Non-test instruments are fundamental in the implementation of student needs assessment. Without the right instruments, the assessment will not be able to be carried out and the implementation of guidance and counseling services will not be able to reach services that are by student needs. This requires counselors to be able to develop instruments that can measure the psychological condition of students which can be used as a reference for making programs and providing services for students. But in reality, counseling teachers are still confused, unable to make instruments, and limited to processing and analyzing the results of the instruments obtained so that the counseling program prepared later is by the needs of students.This training and mentoring activity aims to assist counselors in developing non-test instruments independently. This activity was carried out for 9 days for Palembang City Junior High School counselors who were organized in the Palembang City Junior High School MGBK. The implementation of this activity was carried out using discussion, brainstorming, practice, and assignment methods. This activity began with filling out pretests, providing material, practice, and assignments, analyzing data, interpreting data, and ending with filling out posttests. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis showed that the t-test significance value obtained was 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the skills of counseling teachers in preparing non-test instruments before and after attending the training. During the activity, counselors were enthusiastic and eager to participate in the training. The output of this training is a questionnaire that can be used in their respective schools to assess students' needs.

Abstract

Emotion is a response shown by an individual to an event or stimulus that can affect his mental state. These emotions require control within the individual to be able to produce positive behavior, feelings and mental states in the process of emotional regulation. Measuring emotional regulation is needed to be able to describe a person's emotional control state. The aim of this research is to produce a valid and reliable emotional regulation scale. This research method is a research and development method with the ADDIE model. The population in this study was 2996 Class XI high school students in Ilir Barat 1 District, Palembang City. The total sample for this research was 102 respondents taken randomly. This research data processing uses SPSS with the product moment formula and factor analysis with a confirmatory factor analysis approach. The results of the research show that the content validity of experts states that 95% of the scale is suitable for use, and the emotional regulation scale prepared is constructively valid with 45 items with a Cronbach's alpha reliability value of 0.948. It was concluded that the emotional regulation scale was suitable for use with a larger and more diverse group of respondents.

Abstract

Coping mechanisms are methods or steps used by individuals to solve problems, adapt, tolerate, accept, and overcome changes that occur in their lives in situations that threaten or exceed their psychological and behavioral abilities. They indicate a major part of dealing with one's stress. Come through interventions and techniques. This research aims to examine and analyze the command regarding coping mechanisms in Indonesia in the last decade to show its novelty. This Content analysis is used as an analysis method. The examples used are articles published on Google Scholar and Research Gate. Data searches are based on reviewing research titles, techniques, and results. The research results show that coping mechanisms affect personal, academic, professional, nursing, athletic, and national defense. Methodologically, descriptive analysis techniques and univariate data are the methods most widely used to determine relationships. It is desired that research on coping mechanisms can help future researchers study coping mechanisms with other psychological aspects using different research methods.

Abstract

This research aims to determine differences in students' emotional regulation based on gender at SMA Negeri 1 Prabumulih. This research used a comparative descriptive method by conducting an independent sample t-test for hypothesis testing. The population used in this research was 213 class XI students using 68 students (34 females and 34 males) as samples. Data collection was carried out by distributing the Emotion Regulation Scale via Google Form. The mean value obtained from the data processing results was 119.35 for females and 116.47 for males. The highest value obtained in this research through measuring the emotional regulation scale was 135 and the lowest value was 98. Sig. (2-tailed) which was obtained at 0.057 with a significance level value of 0.1. Based on this value, it means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. To determine whether the difference is significant or not, look at the t count and t table. Because the calculated t result’s 1.938 is greater than the t table’s 1.668, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in students' emotional regulation based on gender at SMA Negeri 1 Prabumulih.

Abstract

Ujian akhir sekolah merupakan momen penting bagi siswa, salah satunya siswa SMA karena berpengaruh terhadap hasil akademik dan masa depan mereka. Pada umumnya, untuk mencapai hasil yang baik maka siswa akan menekan dirinya sehingga mempengaruhi tingkat kecemasan dalam diri siswa tersebut. Tingkat kecemasan yang tinggi dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kinerja siswa dalam ujian, salah satunya yaitu ujian akhir sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kecemasan siswa pada SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara dalam menghadapi ujian akhir sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan jumlah populasi 93 siswa kelas XII dengan menggunakan sampel jenuh. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen skala Likert. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang tingkat kecemasan dalam menghadapi ujian akhir sekolah, ditemukan 76% (71 siswa) yang dapat kategorikan sedang Selanjutnya diperoleh 12% (11 siswa) dengan kategori tinggi. Kemudian didapatkan 12% (11 orang) siswa dari keseluruhan sampel yang memiliki tingkat kecemasan pada kategori rendah. Oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa tingkat kecemasan siswa pada SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara dalam menghadapi ujian akhir tergolong kategori sedang. Artinya tingkat kecemasan siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara mayoritas siswanya mengalami kecemasan dalam menghadapi ujian akhir sekolah.

Abstract

Emotion regulation is the ability of individuals to manage, control, and express their emotions in a healthy and adaptive manner. This involves the process of monitoring, evaluating, and modifying one's emotional responses in various situations to achieve optimal emotional balance. Therefore, good emotion regulation helps individuals cope with stress, interact with others, and make wise decisions. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach and a literature review method based on twenty journal sources as the focus of the study. The results of this study provide a deeper understanding of the phenomenon of emotion regulation in high school students and help identify influencing factors and strategies to address these issues.

Abstract

Emotion regulation is an individual's ability to recognise, manage and express emotions adaptively in various life situations. In adolescents, especially high school students in Indonesia, this ability is crucial considering that adolescence is a developmental phase full of emotional and social challenges. This study aims to explore the dynamics of emotion regulation in high school students in Indonesia and identify factors that influence this ability. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a literature study method that reviewed twenty relevant national and international scientific journals. The selection of journals was based on the suitability of the topic, the quality of the methodology, and its contribution to the understanding of emotion regulation in the context of adolescent education. The results showed that emotion regulation in high school students is influenced by intrapersonal factors, family environment, peer relations, and academic pressure. This study specifically highlights emotion regulation strategies such as cognitive reappraisal, impulse control, and achieving emotional balance in the school environment. The novelty of this research lies in the contextual focus on Indonesian students and the emphasis on the importance of preventive and educative approaches in building emotion regulation skills as part of mental readiness for the future.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the self-disclosure of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 18 Palembang. This study is descriptive quantitative with a survey design. The sample in this study consisted of 201 students selected using proportional random sampling. The instrument used in this study was a self-disclosure scale with a reliability of 0.852. Data analysis used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The results showed that student self-disclosure varied. There were 14 students with very high self-disclosure (7%), 44 students with high self-disclosure (22%), 77 students with moderate self-disclosure (38%), 55 students with low self-disclosure (27%), and 11 students with very low self-disclosure (5%). Based on these research results, it can be understood that the self-disclosure of students in grade X at SMA Negeri 18 Palembang is generally in the moderate category with a mean of 108 and an achievement level of 38%. This study produced a valid and reliable instrument that can be used to collect self-disclosure data, and self-disclosure data can be used as a basis for creating guidance and counseling service programs.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan kepada guru dalam pemberdayaan media layanan bimbingan dan konseling melalui konten kreator di SMA Kabupaten Lahat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini berupa materi seminar dan pelatihan dasar agar peserta memahami materi dan dapat menerapkannya dalam layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah dan power point sebagai medianya. Data dan sumber yang digunakan dalam layanan ini adalah media layanan bimbingan dan konseling, aplikasi pendukung, dan situs Google. Pembicara memaparkan konsep pendidikan di era digital, mengklasifikasikan berbagai jenis media kreatif dan menyalurkan media layanan bimbingan dan konseling tersebut ke dalam konten kemudian diperkenalkan ke media sosial populer atau website guru yang dibuat di situs Google. Setelah kegiatan ini selesai diharapkan para guru di sekolah-sekolah di Kabupaten Lahat memiliki platform website khusus guru bimbingan dan konseling sehingga setiap hari para guru dapat termotivasi untuk menciptakan ide-ide baru dalam merancang layanan bimbingan dan konseling di kelas.

Abstract

Penurunan motivasi belajar pada remaja tingkat SMP menjadi salah satu isu penting yang perlu diperhatikan dalam dunia pendidikan. Artikel ini mengkaji tren penelitian terkini mengenai urgensi penurunan motivasi belajar di kalangan siswa SMP, yang berpotensi mempengaruhi kualitas pendidikan dan perkembangan pribadi remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab penurunan motivasi belajar, baik dari aspek internal seperti perubahan psikologis remaja, maupun dari faktor eksternal seperti pengaruh lingkungan keluarga, sosial, dan pendidikan. Selain itu, artikel ini juga menyoroti dampak jangka panjang penurunan motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi akademik, keterlibatan sosial, serta kesehatan mental siswa. Melalui kajian pustaka dan analisis tren penelitian, artikel ini memberikan wawasan tentang urgensi untuk menangani isu ini dengan pendekatan yang lebih holistik, yang melibatkan peran guru, orang tua, dan masyarakat dalam mendukung peningkatan motivasi belajar remaja. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi kebijakan pendidikan yang lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan psikologis dan akademik siswa di tingkat SMP.
