Abstract

Financial management is key for business actors in achieving business financial efficiency and optimization. This study aims to investigate the impact of financial literacy, financial inclusion, and locus of control on the financial management behavior of MSMEs in Purwokerto, Indonesia, with financial self-efficacy serving as the mediating variable. A quantitative approach was applied in this study, involving 211 purposively selected MSME respondents. Data analysis was conducted using SmartPLS 4, which involved testing both the outer model and the inner model. The findings suggest that financial literacy does not have a significant impact on financial self-efficacy. In contrast, financial inclusion has a negative impact, while locus of control has a positive effect on financial self-efficacy. The results also indicate that financial literacy and financial inclusion have a positive impact on financial management behavior. In contrast, locus of control and financial self-efficacy do not exhibit a significant effect. In addition, financial self-efficacy is not able to mediate the factors that influence financial management behavior. Thus, the results show that improving financial management behavior can be achieved through optimizing financial literacy and financial inclusion.

The research stems from growing requirements for small enterprises to accommodate electronic financial technology advancement, necessitating comprehension beyond traditional monetary elements to include technological components such as mobile payment systems, smartphone banking, and web-based credit services. The methodology employs numerical analysis utilizing pathway examination through Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) frameworks. Research participants comprised 101 micro-business operators surveyed via Likert-format instruments. Findings demonstrated that conventional financial competency exerts beneficial and statistically significant immediate effects on both technological financial knowledge and small enterprise outcomes. Additionally, technological financial knowledge successfully functions as a significant intermediary between conventional financial competency and micro-business performance. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of public services provided by the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) of Sukabumi City, particularly in issuing Trade Business Licenses (SIUP). Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and documentation. The research applied the SERVQUAL model, assessing five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Results show that DPMPTSP services are generally perceived as “good,” with tangible elements (infrastructure and appearance of staff) considered adequate. Reliability is reflected in adherence to SOPs, though some issues arise from network disruptions and application completeness. Responsiveness and empathy are rated positively by service users, while assurance is supported by staff professionalism and transparency. The use of the Online Single Submission (OSS) system contributes to the efficiency and legality of business licensing. However, challenges remain in digital literacy among applicants and occasional delays. The study concludes that continuous improvement in service speed, transparency, and system optimization is essential. DPMPTSP is recommended to enhance digital infrastructure, provide regular training, and expand public information access to strengthen trust and satisfaction in public service delivery.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of ease of use and transaction security on interest in using BRImo, as well as the role of user trust as a mediating variable for BRI customers in Sukabumi. A quantitative approach was used in this study with a survey method of 399 active BRImo user respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Square with the help of SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results showed that both ease of use and transaction security had a positive and significant effect on interest in using BRImo. In addition, user trust is proven to be able to mediate the relationship between ease of use and transaction security on interest in using. The highest mean on the interest in using variable is found in the indicator of recommendation to use BRImo, while the lowest mean is found in attraction due to ease of transactions. Overall, respondents' perceptions of all variables are high, but there is still room for improvement, especially in the aspects of overall experience, transaction security, and technical service capabilities. These findings indicate the importance of comprehensively improving the quality of user experience to encourage loyalty and intensity of use of BRImo in the future.
