Abstract

The large volume of erosion that will result will cause the loss of the top soil layer and a decrease in soil nutrients. For this reason, soil conservation efforts are needed to ensure that the soil is not dispersed, regulate the force of movement and the amount of surface flow so that soil uplift does not occur. This research includes qualitative research where to get data you have to go into the field by discussing with the community. The approach method offered in solving partner problems is as follows: 1) Direct discussions with the people of Balai Gadang Subdistrict whose area is prone to landslides, 2) Training on the use of fruit waste for eco-enzymes and decomposers, as well as vegetative conservation on existing land. The results of this third year of service include: (1) discussions with farmers regarding the manufacture of decomposers and eco enzymes (2) Survey activities to increase agricultural and livestock activities, (3) Conducting training and practice in making decomposers from rice washing water (4) ) Practice of making Eco-enzyme from fruit peel waste, (5) Refresher discussions on farmer group organizations, (6) Practicum with students to check agricultural land fertility, (7) Survey at the new Landslide location for vegetative conservation activities with black bamboo plants, banana, sugar palm, areca nut, vetiver and others

Abstract

This article aims to improve teachers' skills in developing Campbell Stokes' Sunshine Recorder interactive media and improve teachers' understanding of pedagogical aspects seen in the process of lesson planning and learning media. This activity was carried out in the Meeting Room of SMAN 1 Bukittinggi City by using training, question and answer, and practice methods. The participants of this activity were high school Geography subject teachers in Bukittinggi City. This activity includes training on designing effective learning media and also providing training on developing interactive learning media on the topic of Atmosphere for high school geography teachers in Bukittinggi City. The training carried out with Geography subject teachers aims to improve teacher skills in developing Atmospheric learning media through Campbell Stokes' Sunshine Recorder media. Through this training, teachers experienced an increased understanding of pedagogical aspects, especially in understanding and developing learning media, especially in the use of Sunshine Recorder Campbell Stokes media. Geography teachers also gained a better understanding of the competencies needed to design and use media effectively, so as to create quality, efficient and interactive learning experiences.

Abstract

The low consumption of vegetables is the main cause of health problems ranging from obesity, cancer, stroke, chronic kidney disease, diabetes mellitus to hypertension. The consumption of vegetables and fruits by the Indonesian population is still below the recommended levels. Lubuk Minturun Village is one of the areas with an increasing population every year, with residential areas surrounding the vicinity. The high demand for horticultural plants among the community has led to the idea of ​​utilizing the household environment to cultivate horticultural plants to meet daily needs. One effort that can be made is by using hydroponic systems, so that both the community and housewives do not need to have large plots of land to cultivate horticultural plants; instead, they can utilize the environment or the yard of the house to cultivate these plants. Several approaches offered to support the realization of this community service program include training and demonstrations, including: (1) Case Studies, (2) Practice/demonstration, especially in hydroponic cultivation, (3) Brainstorming/idea gathering from the community, (4) Question and answer sessions between housewives and speakers or relevant government agencies, (5) Lectures containing core materials and plans for further activities that provide solutions to the problems faced by housewives. This activity is very beneficial and has resulted in: (1) Increased knowledge of housewives in utilizing yards with hydroponic systems, (2) Increased knowledge and skills of housewives in utilizing recycled materials as media for hydroponic cultivation, (3) Increased knowledge and skills of housewives in hydroponic cultivation and maintenance.

Abstract

Background: Indonesia is highly prone to natural disasters, including floods, landslides, and earthquakes. Among the most vulnerable are children, particularly elementary school students. Disaster education is essential for enhancing their resilience and preparedness. Objective: This systematic review examines the impact of disaster education on the resilience of elementary school students in Indonesia, with a focus on how educational interventions improve disaster preparedness and psychological recovery. Methods: Following PRISMA guidelines, studies published between 2019 and 2024 were analyzed. Data were collected from ProQuest and EBSCO databases using keywords related to disaster education in Indonesian elementary schools. Included studies evaluated disaster education programs and their effects on students' resilience and preparedness. Results: Three studies met the inclusion criteria. Interventions, including 3D virtual simulations, moral comics, and traditional games, were found to effectively enhance disaster awareness and resilience. The review also highlights the importance of culturally relevant approaches to trauma recovery and emphasizes the need for a child-centered focus in disaster education. Conclusion: Disaster education significantly enhances the preparedness and resilience of Indonesian elementary school students. Integrating disaster education into school curricula and employing culturally appropriate methods are critical for building a more disaster-resilient generation. Broader implementation of these programs is necessary within Indonesia's education system.

Abstract

: This study used a qualitative method. The research setting was conducted at Pegasing 15 Elementary School, Central Aceh Regency. The informants in the study were key informants consisting of natural science and social science subject teachers at Pegasing 15 Elementary School, Central Aceh Regency. The informant sampling technique used the snowball sampling technique. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that; 1) The professional competence of teachers in mastering learning materials has been implemented well. Mastery of the material is carried out by preparing a learning plan, preparing learning materials according to competency, student needs, and preparing learning materials from various sources, 2) The professional competence of teachers in using media has been implemented well through the use of various learning media, such as visual media, audio media, and audiovisual media. 3) The professional competence of teachers in using learning methods has been implemented well, where teachers have used a variety of learning methods so that effective learning is created.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Education is one aspect that is very important and necessary for the country to be able to compete with the outside world. The quality of education in Indonesia really needs to be improved because high quality education indicates that a nation has potential and quality human resources. Education is also inseparable from the role of an educator, school principal or leader who is professional and dignified. The role of an educator or teacher cannot be separated from providing knowledge, guiding, directing, training students so that they have the knowledge to be able to face their future life in accordance with the changes and developments of the times. A quality leader will direct the success of the vision and mission that has been designed. Therefore, to achieve the expected vision and mission, a leadership style that is Democratic, Visionary, Multicultural, Sportive, Transactional, Transformational and Liberal Leadership is needed. This research aims to analyze the leadership style of school principals, assess the various leadership styles applied by vocational school principals in Merangin Regency and identify their influence on the development of sports achievements in schools. In this research the author used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Abstract

This report presents the results of research on the management of the Upper Ciliwung River Basin (DAS) in Bogor Regency, which aims to analyze the relationship between upstream area factors and flood events in Jakarta, and provide recommendations for better management. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method through field surveys and literature studies. The results show that the Upper Ciliwung Watershed has diverse physical characteristics, with topography varying from lowlands to steep, and a climate influenced by high rainfall. Land use changes, especially the increase in residential areas, have reduced water absorption capacity and increased surface runoff, which contributes to increased flood risk downstream. In addition, the geological and hydrological conditions of the watershed also affect river flow discharge. Therefore, integrated and sustainable management is needed to maintain ecosystem balance and reduce negative impacts on the environment. Recommendations provided include strengthening land zoning policies, implementing conservation techniques, and increasing community participation in water resource management.

Abstract

South Bogor District is one of the areas in Bogor City that has a high level of vulnerability to landslide disasters. Factors such as high rainfall, soil types that easily become saturated, steep slope inclinations, and land cover changes due to development are the main causes of the increased landslide risk. This research aims to map the landslide hazard levels in the area using a spatial approach with Geographic Information System (GIS) and a weighted overlay method. The five main parameters used in this analysis are slope gradient, soil type, rock type, land cover, and rainfall. Each parameter is weighted based on its contribution to the landslide potential. Data were obtained from various agencies such as BIG, BNPB, ESDM, and BPBD Kota Bogor. The overlay results show three hazard classes: low, medium, and high. Validation was carried out by comparing the zoning results with the actual landslide occurrence points recorded in the field. The research results show that most of the South Bogor District area falls into the moderate to high hazard class, especially in areas with steep slopes and non-forest land cover. Areas such as Kertamaya, Rancamaya, and Mulyaharja fall into high-risk zones, which aligns with previous landslide occurrence data. The resulting zoning model has proven capable of mapping potential hazards quite well and can serve as a basis for disaster mitigation planning, spatial planning, and landslide risk reduction policies in urban areas.

Abstract

Flood is a recurring hydrometeorological disaster in urban areas of Indonesia, including Bekasi City and Regency. This study employs a realism-based geographic approach to analyze the causes, impacts, and formulate mitigation strategies for floods occurring in Bekasi in early March 2025. Using qualitative methods with a case study design, data were collected through observations, interviews, and document studies. The results reveal that floods are caused by a combination of high rainfall intensity, rapid urbanization reducing water catchment areas, poor drainage infrastructure, and topographical vulnerabilities. Beyond physical and economic damages, the disaster severely disrupted educational activities, affecting hundreds of schools and thousands of students. The realism approach highlights the importance of empirical data in understanding flood patterns and designing comprehensive mitigation strategies. Recommended solutions include improving drainage capacity, enforcing land-use regulations, river normalization, and integrating disaster risk reduction (DRR) education into school curricula to build community resilience. This research contributes to evidence-based disaster mitigation efforts in urban planning and education sectors.

Abstract

The Bengawan Solo River covers an area of approximately 16,100 km² and has a length of about 660 km. Increasing and irregular rainfall patterns have led to rising water levels in the Bengawan Solo River. Therefore, by utilizing technological advancements, floodplain modeling techniques can be applied using the HEC-RAS software as a flood disaster mitigation effort. The research method used involves calculating the flood discharge using the Synthetic Unit Hydrograph (HSS) Nakayasu method, followed by hydraulic analysis with the HEC-RAS software. The resulting flood discharge for the Q100 year return period is 11,570.98 m³/s. Based on the Q100 discharge value, the existing river cross-section is unable to accommodate the flow. From this analysis, the selected mitigation method is a structural approach in the form of river normalization.
