Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to improve the critical thinking skills of class XII students through the group guidance model Problem Based Learning (PBL). There is also a scope which is limited to class XII students who take part in group guidance activities. The research method that the researchers used was classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study are that in the pre-cycle, students' critical thinking skills are still very low. In the pre-cycle the total score of the three students became 13. Then increased in the first cycle after receiving treatment, the total score became 29 points. In cycle II, critical thinking skills significantly increased the total score to 55 points. The conclusion of the action research that the researcher did was group guidance with the PBL model which was able to improve the students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to test the effectiveness of sociodrama techniques in improving students’ interpersonal communication and self-confidence. This research uses the Quasi-Experimental Design method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. This study consisted of an experimental group and a control group. Subjects totaling 64 students were selected using the purposive sampling technique, divided into 32 students as the experimental group and 32 students as the control group—data collection techniques using interpersonal communication questionnaires and self-confidence questionnaires. Data analysis used Mann Whitney and Descriptive Analysis Techniques. This study concludes that sociodrama techniques effectively improve students’ interpersonal communication and self-confidence, and sociodrama techniques are more effective in increasing students' independence. self-confidence compared to interpersonal communication of students.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji keefektifan teknik sosiodrama dalam meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal dan rasa percaya diri siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Exprimental Design dengan Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Penelitian ini ini terdiri dari kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Subjek berjumlah 64 siswa dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang terbagi menjadi 32 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 32 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket komunikasi interpersonal dan angket kepercayaan diri. Analisis data menggunakan uji Mann Whitney dan Teknik Analisis Deskriptif. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah teknik sosiodrama efektif untuk meningkatkan komunikasi interpersonal dan kepercayaan diri siswa, serta teknik sosiodrama lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan kemandirian siswa. Kepercayaan diri dibandingkan dengan komunikasi interpersonal siswa.

Abstract

Abstract: Tolerance is the attitude of respecting, accepting and appreciating the world's cultural diversity. This study aims to determine the implementation of the monopoly game technique group guidance in increasing the tolerance of high school students. The type of research used is Guidance and Counseling Action Research. The subjects of this study were 10 students in a low tolerance category. The treatment used was the simulation game. Simulation game is a game technique in learning inspired from real life situation. The study was carried out in pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II stages. The analysis of the data used was descriptive quantitative implemented in providing a detailed explanation of quantitative data by comparing the results of the questionnaire scores before and after the action using statistics. Based on the results of the study, the pre-cycle scoreas 1,089 with an average of 108.9, the score of the first cycle was 1,148 obtained with an average of 114.8, and in the second cycle, a score of 1,286 was obtained with an average of 128.6. These results indicate an increase in the score for each student. Based on the results of the discussion, it can be seen that the implementation of the monopoly game technique group guidance in increasing the tolerance.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal and describe the guidance and counseling services for children with special needs at inclusive schools. This study uses a qualitative research method with a case study approach. The subject of this research is a guidance and counseling teacher who is the coordinator of guidance and counseling at SMP Negeri 168 Jakarta. Data collection techniques carried out in this study used interviews and documentation. There is no special role for guidance anda counseling teachers for students with special needs. The role of Guidance and Counseling for children with special needs at SMP Negeri 168 Jakarta is the same as for other children. The absence of a special supervising teacher has resulted in guidance and counseling teachers being asked to carry out this role to directly deal with special needs students. guidance and counseling teachers do not have a special guidance and counseling program for special needs students. The provision of guidance and counseling services to students with special needs successfully handles students with special needs who find it difficult to focus. Guidance and counseling also succeeded in dealing with special needs students with low learning motivation to become more interested in learning.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the implementation of group counseling through self-management techniques that can reduce student academic procrastination in junior high school students. The background that underlies this research is because many students still do academic procrastination so it also has an impact on their learning process. The type of research used is guidance and counseling action research through pre-action and 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques are in the form of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results of the pre-action research obtained an average of 74.2 then given the action in the first cycle obtained an average score of 63.8. In cycle II it decreased with an average score of 54.8 whereas in this cycle 5 subjects were not in the high category. This study concludes that group counseling self-management techniques can be used as an alternative to reducing academic procrastination behavior.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify the targets, procedures and successful implementation of self-management techniques to overcome the academic procrastination behaviour of students. The research method used is a literature study. The primary research data is 21 national and international articles. The article selection criteria are: meet both variables, carried out within the last ten years. Data collection techniques use documentation as well, as data analysis techniques using content analysis. The results of the study: (1) The targets were students who pursued formal education at the high school level who were identified as having behavioural problems with academic procrastination; (2) The implementation procedures in this study generally include self-monitoring, positive reinforcement, self-contracting, self-control, and follow-up;  and (3) the successful implementation of self-management to overcome academic procrastination behaviour in the form of a significant decrease in the level of academic procrastination. Based on 21 articles that researchers have analyzed, it shows that the achievement of the effectiveness of self-management in academic procrastination reaches 100%. Researchers are further advised to test the efficacy of self-management techniques to overcome academic procrastination behaviours for learners. Another piece of advice is to conduct research and development to produce self-management implementation guide products to overcome academic procrastination.

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) describe the process of selecting articles the literature on the implication of self-care on professional helpers’ psychological well-being, (2) describe the role of self-care in professional helpers’ psychological well-being, (3) depict the self-care for professional helpers’ psychological well-being, and (4) describe the form of self-care for professional helpers’ psychological well-being. This approach extends the current knowledge and provides a basis for the policy- making process and practice. The data were collected from twenty-five articles in electronic databases. The data were documented following Siddaway, Wood, and Hedges’ (2018) proposed stages. The data were analyzed using the content analysis technique. Relevant articles were analyzed in-depth to extract necessary information. This study found the selection process for articles in this study was carried out through selecting duplicate articles, selecting titles and/or abstracts, and selecting the entire contents of the articles. Articles agreed that self-care might affect professional helpers’ psychological well-being. Articles view self-care for professional helpers’ psychological well-being as an activity to care for themselves and their profession. Articles divided self-care for professional helpers into two categories: personal self-care and professional self-care. Although studies on self-care for professional helpers’ psychological well-being have been conducted, further understanding of self-care for professional helpers is still necessary. Thus, professional helper associations are recommended to conduct training and monitor self-care implementation. Future studies are recommended to obtain field evidence of self-care to maintain psychological well-being.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to identify the conditions for implementing BK in schools and (2) to identify problems faced by counselors after the Covid-19 Pandemic. The research method uses surveys. Data collection techniques used questionnaires about counselors' problems after the Pandemic. The study population was counselors in Indonesia, and the research sample was 323 respondents from the islands of Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Bali-NTT-NTB, and Maluku. Data analysis using descriptive statistics. The results of the study found that there were several obstacles experienced by counselor in the implementation of counselor services after the Pandemic, such as the imbalance in the ratio of counselors to students, the absence of class hours, the absence of instruments for counselors, and changes in the curriculum that caused changes in the design of the counselor program. These problems can be solved through cooperation from various parties. Support from schools, stakeholders and parents is needed so that the implementation of counselor services can be as planned. Suggestions for further research can be done by conducting literature reviews or conducting experimental research related to problems that occur after the pandemic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-management techniques on students' behaviour. This research was carried out on class XI students in Islamic high school. This study uses one pretest-posttest design group without comparison groups or control groups, the population employed by class XI IA. A total of 5 students obtained as many as four students. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods use trooting behaviour questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use parametric paired sample t-test analysis. The results of the study. It shows that self-management techniques reduce the behaviour of skipping students. This is evidenced by the difference in lowering behaviour of diving between the pre-test and post-test results, where the average post-test results are lower than the pre-test results after a self-management technique is given. Based on the results of the pre-test and the existing post-test showed a change in the behaviour. Who experienced a decrease in the conduct of skipping after individual counselling using the behaviour approach with self-management techniques

Abstract

The present study aims to : (1) describe students' online game addiction and academic achievement in senior high school students, (2) examine the relationship between online game addiction and academic achievement. This correlational study involved 155 respondents, recruited using the cluster sampling technique. The data were collected using the author's online game addiction questionnaire and the final exam results for mathematics, Bahasa Indonesia, and English subjects. The validity test covered the construct and empirical validity, while the reliability was determined using Cronbach's Alpha with SPSS 25. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The result showed that most students have moderate online game addiction (82%, n= 127) and moderate academic achievement (62%, n =96). The hypothesis result showed a significance value of 0.015 and a correlation coefficient of 0.195, indicating that the hypothesis was supported. In other words, students' online game addiction level is associated with their academic achievement. Future studies are recommended to explore other factors affecting students' academic achievement, such as learning motivation, intelligence, and learning style.
