Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the types of violations of the principle of cooperation in the Pepekomik comic strip. Comic strips are an interesting medium to explain because they often use humor as a tool to entertain readers. Through a pragmatic approach, this research describes the types of violations of the principle of cooperation in the Pepekomik comic strip which includes the maxims of quality, quantity, relevance and manner. The analysis method uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis techniques. The research results show that the Pepekomik comic strip often violates the principle of cooperation in its speech with the aim of creating interesting and entertaining stories for readers. These violations occur in the form of deviations from the maxims of cooperative principles, such as providing inappropriate, insufficient, excessive, irrelevant or ambiguous information. This research contributes to the understanding of how the principle of cooperation is applied and applied in visual communication, especially in comic strips, as well as providing recommendations for using the Pepekomik comic strip as learning material for anecdotal texts in grade 12.

Abstract

Salah satu hal yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas VI IPAS SDN Sidosermo I/427 Surabaya adalah masih digunakannya metode pembelajaran tradisional. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa kelas VI tentang rangka tubuh manusia melalui penggunaan teknik pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian kelas ini menggunakan dua siklus. Dalam proses pengumpulan data digunakan tes dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, siklus I memperoleh rata-rata 46 dengan daya serap 46%, sedangkan siklus II memperoleh rata-rata 82 dengan daya serap 82%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa terhadap materi Rangka tubuh Manusia mengalami peningkatan. Dengan demikian, pada kelas VI SD Negeri Sidosermo I/427 Surabaya, penerapan pendekatan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi IPAS yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada pengembangan suplemen bahan ajar berbasis berpikir spasial dalam mitigasi bencana, mengingat kekurangan bahan ajar kontekstual yang ada saat ini. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang dan mengembangkan suplemen bahan ajar yang efektif menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) model 4D, yang meliputi tahapan Define, Design, Development, dan Disseminate. Metode ini dimulai dengan analisis kebutuhan dan desain bahan ajar, diikuti dengan pengembangan, validasi, dan revisi, serta diakhiri dengan penyebaran bahan ajar dalam format flip book. Hasil dari proses ini menunjukkan bahwa suplemen bahan ajar yang dikembangkan memenuhi standar kualitas yang diharapkan, dengan penilaian validasi yang menunjukkan hasil yang sangat layak. Suplemen ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dengan menawarkan materi yang lebih relevan dan aplikatif dalam konteks mitigasi bencana di wilayah lokal.

Abstract

Meta-analysis is a systematic process combining multiple studies' results to create a comprehensive understanding of a research question. It uses statistical methods to synthesise the findings of different studies, offering a quantitative summary of the overall effect. The study analysed the differences in studies on validating standardised tests in education using various procedures. The meta-analysis of 130 empirical studies on the validation of standardised educational tests published between 1988 and 2017 revealed that authors predominantly rely on literature reviews for item generation, followed by theory reviews and expert reviews. The data was analysed using percentages and counts. The majority of studies (80%) used literature reviews to generate ideas, with a smaller percentage (60%) and (38%) for theory and expert reviews. The majority of authors used Guttman divided half and internal consistency, with Alpha if item removed being the most commonly used method (86.2%). Construct validity was the primary method used (89.2%). The factorability of the correlation matrix was the main reason for the Barlett's test of sphericity score (75.4%). Most authors reported factor retention (60.8%) and used the Unweighted Least Squares (51.5%) approach for factor extraction. The most commonly reported rotation technique was orthogonal (Varimax) (59.2%). In conclusion, the text provides a comprehensive overview of test validation, emphasising the importance of establishing validity for ensuring trustworthy and meaningful test results. Future research should continue to explore the complexities of test validation, seeking to improve practices and develop more standardised approaches that ensure the reliability and validity of tests across various contexts.

Abstract

Fundamental penyebab percepatan tujuan pengajaran salah satunya adalah sumber media untuk pembelajaran. Realitas bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran masih berhadapan beberapa kendala & kompleksitas konvensional, maka diperlukannya daya dukung bukan Cuma finansial, akan tetapi diadakannya berbagai macam media pembelajaran. Sumber media pembelajaran yang seharusnya menjadi tolok ukur percepatan siswa dalam pemahaman esensial materi ajar menjadi faktor pendukung ketercapaian indikator capaian mapela. SLR, riset perpustakaan, dikhusukan penelitian teks, terdahulu atau baru, objek 10 artikel. Menunjukkan pengaruh cukup besar dalam perkembangan belajar, peserta didik semakin berkembang dalam pembelajarannya, baik dari pemahamam materi yang dijelaskan guru saat pembelajaran berlangsung maupun saat mengerjakan tugas mereka.

Abstract

This quantitative study meticulously evaluated the effects of the Baamboozle application on seventh-grade students' vocabulary acquisition, particularly within the context of descriptive text. Utilizing a pre-experimental design, the study implemented a one-group baseline and follow-up tests model to assess the intervention's efficacy. Data was collected using baseline and follow-up tests. The statistical analysis was performed through paired sample T-tests by utilizing SPSS 25. The findings indicated a substantial improvement in students' average vocabulary scores, increasing from 57.25 to 73.00, with a Sig. (2-tailed) value of less than 0.05, confirming statistical significance. The result underscores the value of integrating Baamboozle into English instruction, highlighting its potential to significantly escalate learning outcomes and amplify student engagement. Future research should focus on comparative studies assessing Baamboozle's efficacy relative to other digital learning platforms, such as Duolingo, Busuu, Lingodeer, and similar tools, to further advance and optimize vocabulary teaching strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) di Pondok Pesantren Darul Yatama Wal Masakin dan pengaruhnya terhadap mutu pendidikan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data melalui observasi, wawancara semistruktur, dan dokumentasi di lokasi penelitian. Sumber data primer diperoleh dari wawancara dengan Ketua Yayasan dan Kiai, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh dari dokumen yayasan dan tenaga pendidik. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman, melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perencanaan manajemen SDM berfokus pada optimalisasi kinerja untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Langkah-langkah yang diambil mencakup analisis kebutuhan SDM, rekrutmen yang terencana, pengembangan kompetensi guru, dan mendorong peran aktif seluruh SDM dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan. Proses analisis kebutuhan SDM dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan visi, misi, dan tujuan yayasan, serta analisis SWOT untuk menentukan kebutuhan SDM yang tepat. Rekrutmen dilakukan secara terbuka dengan seleksi ketat untuk memastikan kualitas pengajar, diikuti dengan pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk mengembangkan empat kompetensi utama guru. Kontribusi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan berharga dalam pengembangan manajemen pendidikan di pesantren, serta menjadi referensi bagi lembaga pendidikan Islam lainnya dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya manajemen SDM yang efektif dalam menciptakan lulusan yang kompetitif dan mampu beradaptasi dengan tuntutan zaman.

Abstract

The study examined the influence of Arabic knowledge on the understanding of Islamic Studies among secondary school students in Kwara State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design of survey type was used in the study. Population of the study was all secondary school Islamic Studies students in Kwara State. Simple random sampling technique was used in the study to select the sample. The instrument used in the study was developed by researchers themselves and it was titled “influence of Arabic knowledge on the understanding of Islamic Studies” (IAKUIS). Percentage was used to answer all research questions raised in the study. The finding of study revealed that the influence of Arabic knowledge on the understanding of Islamic Studies among secondary school students in Kwara State was high. The study concluded that Arabic knowledge influence understanding of Islamic Studies among secondary school students in Kwara State, Nigeria. Therefore, the study recommended that Islamic Studies teachers should encourage secondary school students of Islamic Studies to add Arabic knowledge to their understanding of Islamic Studies.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are one of the most important skills in 21st-century learning. However, in reality, collaboration skills in IPAS (Integrated Science and Social Studies) learning are still not optimal. This is because learning often only focuses on the teacher and does not provide deep learning experiences for students. Therefore, in this research, learning innovation is carried out in the form of developing teaching materials that develop collaboration skills and IPAS learning outcomes. The teaching materials that have been designed were then validated by three learning experts and tested on a limited basis on fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Bendogerit, Blitar City, East Java. However, before the teaching materials were tested, they were validated by experts and practitioners, showing validity criteria with content validity of 3.59 and construct validity of 3.71. The validators suggested improving the print quality and illustrations. In addition, the cloze test results showed practicality with a good level of readability, with 4 out of 6 students considering the test easy. The average percentage of correct answers reached 65%, with variations of 40-90%. Although no students found the test difficult, special attention is needed for students in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the developed teaching materials are valid and practical, referring to the validation results and the cloze test obtained.

Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penigkatan literasi materi kalimat penghubung mengunakan media komik di kelas IV UPT SDN 060909 Medan. Adapun metode penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 060909. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 30 orang. Instrument yang digunakan sebagai alat pengumpulan data adalah tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Data diolah dengan teknik analisis data yaitu penggunaan media komik materi kalimat penghubung di kelas IV SDN 060909 Medan meningkatkan literasi baca siswa melalui penggunaan media komik yang dilaksanakan pada ketuntasan pra-siklus dengan rata-rata 64,8%, siklus I dengan perolehan hasil dengan nilai rata-rata 70,5% dan siklus II dengan rata-rata 80%, dari pra siklus ke siklus I mengalami peningkatan sebesar 5, 7% dan siklus I ke siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 9,5 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa melalui media komik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi baca kearifan lokal kota Medan pada kelas IV pada materi kata penghubung antar kalimat dalam teks narasi.
