Abstract

This research develops career guidance media based on motion graphic animation as a career information service for elementary school students. The purpose of this research is to find out; 1) Description of media needs for career guidance; 2) Career guidance media prototype; and 3) To produce valid and practical motion graphic animation-based career guidance media. This study uses the ADDIE model. The instruments used in this study were angles and interview guidelines. Based on the results of the study, it shows that 1) Students of SD Negeri Bontocinde have a low understanding of careers so that media such as Motion graphic Animation is needed to support the implementation of career information services; 2) Prototype of Motion graphic Animation media consisting of opening, introduction, content, and outro/closing; 3) Assessment of motion graphic animation media was carried out by material experts (score 3.5 very good) and media experts (score 3.9 very good). Assessment by the teacher obtained values from all three aspects, namely usability, feasibility, and accuracy with a total proportion obtained of 84% with very valid criteria. In conclusion, the level of validity of the Animation Motion graphic media as a career information service is stated to be valid for student use so that the media is feasible for extensive testing.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature study is to help individuals to be more confident by looking for the abilities that exist within them. This article reviews four main points of writing, which cover (1) Basic philosophy, (2) Human nature, (3) Personality structure, (4) Ego defense mechanism, and (5) Personal development psychoanalytic counseling. The method used for this article is a literature study. Psychoanalysis is a useful theory for the analysis of human psychology. Sigmund Shlomo Freud developed this theory due to a bad incident between him and his father. This theory has three structures, namely the id, ego, and superego, in which these three elements continuously interact and result in encouragement within oneself, giving birth to healthy and unhealthy behaviors.

Abstract

World life which is constantly changing rapidly requires the presence of realistic studies and views by paying attention to local wisdom. In the academic field, especially education today, which is characterized by decentralization and autonomy, it gives a pedagogical orientation to the trend of multiculturalism. The orientation of Indonesian education is directed at the nation's motto “Bhineka Tunggal Ika”, Unity in Diversity, meaning that the blueprint for Indonesian education must be based on a philosophical and cultural basis which guarantees that Indonesian people are dignified and sovereign who are not uprooted from their cultural roots as an Indonesian nation. Guidance and counseling as an integral part of education requires a strong philosophical foundation based on the abstraction of environmental and local cultural values. For guidance and counseling, the philosophical foundation provides directions for scientific development as general competence, code of ethics, and practice of guidance and counseling services. Directions are needed as a guide in facing such rapid and complex changes in life.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling is a process of assisting someone in solving and dealing with problems in their life through an extension worker, either by preventing problems from arising or by finding solutions to their problems. This study aims to determine guidance and counseling in optimizing students' interest in continuing their tertiary studies at the eleventh grade of Vocational High School PGRI 1 Transpram II Labuhan Ratu Lampung Timur. This type of research is field research, with the nature of qualitative descriptive research. This study uses interview data collection techniques, observation, and documentation. Interviews were conducted with the Head of the eleventh grade of Vocational High School PGRI 1 Transpram II, Deputy Student Affairs, Deputy Head of Curriculum, Counseling Teachers, eight students, and two alums of the eleventh grade of Vocational High School PGRI 1 Transpram II. All these data were analyzed deductively. Based on the results of research, guidance, and counseling in optimizing the interest of students continuing their tertiary studies at the eleventh grade of Vocational High School PGRI 1 Transpram II Labuhan Ratu Lampung Timur in its implementation uses orientation services, information services, placement, and distribution services, classical guidance services, and individual guidance services. Factors influencing students' interest in continuing their studies at tertiary institutions are support from the school, motivation, and support from the family.

Abstract

The research conducted in this literature review utilized a documentation study approach, analyzing ten theoretical studies sourced from articles. The research focused on "family communication patterns" and "child personality." The findings strongly support the notion that effective communication within the family is vital for the healthy growth and development of children's personalities. When communication patterns are well-established, it fosters open and honest relationships between parents and children, allowing parents to understand better and cater to their children's needs.

Abstract

The writing of this Literature review is based on the existence of various problems of social development stages in children and parental communication patterns in Indonesia, which are still not entirely positive, inappropriate and effective for development and children's growth, including children's social development such as children who are not brave, nervous and even cry if they are going to communicate and interact with other people or society. This literature review aims to analyze and see specifically and theoretically how the influence of democratic parental communication patterns on one of the child's developmental tasks, namely the development of children's social interactions with the surrounding environment. The method in this literature review was carried out on six articles obtained by researchers from one database, namely Google Scholar. The keywords used to search for this article were "democratic parenting," "child development tasks," "child social development," and "child interaction."

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of group guidance with discussion techniques in increasing the positive self-concept of class X Dance students of SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan. The type of research used is a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all class X Dance students at SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan. The sample in this study was 6 students who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this study uses a questionnaire. The data analysis technique of this study used a paired sample test. Based on the results of the paired samples test, a t value of -8.794 was obtained with a signifikansi value of 0,000 < 0,05 so that it can be said that there is a significant difference between the average pretest and posttest scores of student's self-concept. Judging from the mean, the posttest score was higher than the pretest score, namely 129,00 > 91,50, which means there was an increase in students' positive self-concept. Based on these results it can be concluded that group guidance using discussion techniques is effective for increasing the positive self-concept of class X Dance students at SMK Negeri 1 Kasihan.

Abstract

The death of the closest people leaves a feeling of loss and grief that can last into adulthood if it is not resolved. Children and adolescents are the most vulnerable subjects due to a lack of understanding about death and grief. Unfortunately, death education in Indonesia is still minimal, even though it can help children cope with grief as a basic response to loss. Death education should be provided by guidance and counseling teachers, but no studies or practices in Indonesia apply to this context. Therefore, this research was conducted to make recommendations based on a literature review on death education to help students cope with grief. This study uses the systematic literature review (SLR) method which aims to synthesize and present in-depth data from 20 selected previous studies from Google Scholar, PubMed, Harzing, and Mendeley. The implementation of death education can be focused on the explanation of death, the value of life and death, and strategies to cope with the grief caused by death. Practical strategies to implement death education in Indonesia can be developed before being widely practiced.

Abstract

Management is an effort to achieve goals through individual cooperation with groups through the support of other sources or facilities. In management there are 5 management functions namely Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling which is commonly called POAC. If POAC is implemented optimally, effective guidance and counseling services will be created. At MAN Karimun the implementation of guidance and counseling management is still experiencing several obstacles so that good and effective guidance and counseling management is needed. The purpose of this study was to find out about the pattern of implementation of guidance and counseling services at MAN Karimun. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Research location in MAN Karimun. The research informants were 1 guidance counseling teacher and 1 school principal. Data collection techniques through interviews. The results of the study show that in the implementation of guidance and counseling management for guidance counseling teachers there are organizations from school members such as school principals, homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and administration. This service is carried out according to the needs of students. The guidance and counseling activities format used is individual and classical. Counseling guidance at MAN Karimun is also supervised.

Abstract

Counseling is a process of providing assistance to individuals who have problems. The goal is to eradicate and develop individuals who develop optimally so that they can become independent individuals. It takes the figure of a counselor. As a counselor who has quality, a counselor who will be a successful counseling. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Aims to find out how the quality of the counselor as a companion to the counseling process is successful. Data collection uses the results of interviews, observations and literature studies sourced from various literature both from books and research journals. The research subjects were 3 counseling teachers and 3 students at SMA Negeri 10 Medan. The technique of taking research subjects using a purposive sampling technique. The results can be concluded that the quality of the counselor is a major factor in the success of counseling. The counselor's qualities include being able to understand himself, having knowledge in his field, having good mental health, being warm, honest, self-sacrificing, patient, sensitive, a good listener, honest, to a trusted counselor. So that in this case the counselee's trust in the counselor is formed. This is what will shape the counseling process into successful counseling.
