Abstract

Healthy sleep lights that will be proposed for community service are the results of research in which the use of LED lights (Light Emitting Diode) is activated with a maximum power of 3 Watts, so that the power consumed is quite low. This healthy sleep lamp also has some uniqueness such as turning on and off with sound by utilizing applications installed on smartphones. This voice control application can also be used to vary the color of the light. This lamp can be turned on and off by touching the light nest by using a sensor system and also the color and brightness of the lamp can be adjusted using the RGB control application on the smartphone. Intensity test results for LED lights 112 - 996 (Weber / m2). The standard intensity limit for healthy bulbs based on H. Steve, H. Gaube and J. Winterhager is 3,000 (Weber / m2), so that meeting the intensity standard is an LED lamp. Our long-term goal is to develop research results into products that have economic value, facilitate students to develop creativity and innovation and create jobs by partnering with partners.

Abstract

Kubutambahan and Bulian Village are two villages that are included in the working area of the Primary health care in Kubutambahan. Integrated Healthcare Center (IHC) elderly in these two villages still have lower coverage than other villages. In addition, the elderly IHC cadre are also not very active in promoting activities and inviting all elderly elements in the villages of Bulian and Kubutamabahan to come to the IHC. The elderly exercise becomes innovative as an improvement in the quality of life of the elderly. In view of the need for active cadres so that elderly gymnastic instructors are not only trained by health workers but also by elderly IHC cadres themselves. The method used is application technology with three patern (promotion, information and education). The stages of implementation are preparation, implementation and evaluation. The target is for all the elderly in the working area of the health center. The results of this service include the provision of IHC information through loudspeakers car, cadre training, provision of additional food as a reward for the arrival of the elderly to the IHC, providing health information and elderly exercise. This service is effectively carried out so that there is an increase in elderly visits and elderly cadres become trained. In addition, the elderly cadre also developed themselves by becoming an elderly gymnastic instructor. The conclusion is that there is an increase in elderly visits and cadres are increasingly trained.

Abstract

In ecclesiastical worship activities in the Christian community, singing activities both in the format of 'choir', congregational singing and others are integrated in a series of worship services in the church. It is also found among members of the Runggun Benameriah Protestant Karo Batak Church (GBKP) congregation who also use the choir format in activities to praise and glorify God. For Christians singing is a spiritual need. In both churches there are several types of choirs, both the choir moria (mothers), mamre choirs (fathers) gem choirs or youth / youth and elderly choirs. Each choir has a trainer (amateur) who also acts as choir leader, referred to as Dirigen. The problem is that often the quality of the choir that is displayed is low. This means that there are always a lot of technical errors and un-melodious voices from the choir members during the choir presentation. If this condition continues and occurs continuously, the presence of the choir can eventually interfere with the implementation of worship. Another condition is that almost all Dirigens in the GBKP choir are people who have limited musical abilities, and have no background in formal music education. His managerial ability and technical ability to teach choir is very weak. Dirigen's lack of musical knowledge and technical ability will certainly have a profound impact on the quality of the choir he leads. Therefore this dedication team will improve the choir management ability in vocal material and the ability of conducting to all participants so as to minimize the technical difficulties found in the preparation and presentation of the choir. This community service activity is expected that members and conductors / choir leaders can utilize their knowledge and experience as professionals in the field of choir training among community members in general.

Abstract

The business of making tempe every day processes 50 kg of soybeans into tempeh done manually with 4 craftsmen. But the washing of soybeans is one of the most tiring activities because the crafters have to lift buckets filled with soybeans and water so that the weight of the bucket is quite heavy. The process of washing soybeans starts from the step of pouring 10 kg of soybeans into a bucket, giving water, stirring, lifting the bucket to pouring the water in the bucket. Washing the soybeans until clean is done by the craftsman continuously up to 5 times. Processing 50 kg of soybeans causes the craftsman to carry out the process of washing soybeans 25 times each day. The craftsman complains of back pain and both arms and sometimes the craftsman does not come to work if the pain is unbearable. Utilization of soybean washing tools can reduce the washing time so that the process can be completed more quickly and the crafters do not experience pain complaints. Mechanical soybean washing causes shorter washing time for soybeans, faster work, cleaner soybeans and crafters free from complaints of back pain.

Abstract

The low nutritional status of pregnant women during pregnancy can result in various adverse effects for both mother and baby. Poor nutritional status in infants allows problems / developmental delays. In Langkat District the number of toddlers weighed in 2017 was 98,822 people and there were 189 (0.2%) who were below the Red Line (BGM). Malnutrition sufferers found in 2017 were 110 people. Another nutritional status indicator is Iron Nutrition Anemia (AGB) which is an effort to reduce it by giving iron tablets (Fe) as many as 90 tablets during pregnancy in Langkat Regency which is still below the national percentage of 78.69%. The prevalence of stunting toddlers in Langkat Regency in 2018 is 23.3%. Abstract

One very important element in agriculture is water. The availability of water must be guaranteed so that plants can grow throughout the year. The lack of water availability means that crops cannot be produced throughout the year, causing farmers to become inadequate. Engineering irrigation is one of the systems that can regulate water availability throughout the year, but not all regions in Indonesia have such irrigation. Sambirejo Village is one of the villages in Langkat Regency which still utilizes a rainfed irrigation system. The main problem from Sambirejo Village, especially the Karya Tani Farmer Group, which is a service partner, is the unavailability of water to irrigate rice fields during the dry season. This unavailability of water causes a reduction in the productivity of farmers who are supposed to harvest three times to only twice a year. Through community service activities carried out the construction of borehole irrigation in Sembirejo Village. This method utilizes ground water as a source of water supply during the dry season. Drilled well irrigation can be enjoyed directly by farmers in the vicinity of the service area, and in the dry season the water needs for plants are available.
