Starting from the success of giant web service companies as well as Google and Facebook in managing and utilizing unstructured data in the form of consumer generated media and click stream in a very large volume, a concept known as Big Data then became the center attention in the world of information technology. The fact also shows that more and more organizations in the world, whether private companies or government agencies, have difficulty managing data whose volumes are growing and their types are increasingly complex. They have to organize and analyze these data, and they must find the meaning or value of the ever-expanding and increasingly complex data pile, which is said to have exceeded the capability of conventional data processing applications to process it. The condition of this kind of data is also categorized as Big Data, which is interpreted as a set of data in a very large number of challenges lies in how the data should be stored, how to search in the pile of data, how to distribute it, how to visualize it, and how the data should be analyzed. The long-term goal of IbKIK's proposed program is the establishment of a startup company in the field of analytic data from the world of campus directly. Within the planned three-year period, it is desirable that the company be financially self-sufficient by being a data analytics consultant and also creating a sophisticated and advanced Big Data Analytic application platform product. The advantages possessed when the company started from the academic world is the quantity and quality of human resources as intellectual actors can be selected quickly and accurately. Especially with the synchronization between the curriculum content that is taught with its implementation directly through the program IbKIK become useful products and economic value. From the academic point of view, the desired outcomes are from this program published several journals and proceedings of national and international scale, the publication of textbooks, getting HKI, and publications in the mass media. Also, with the success of this company can produce a derivative company engaged in other areas that are still related as a supporter of the business. The product output of the community service activity that has been done for the first year of the planned three years period is the establishment of a Product Information System Sold on E-Commerce Transactions at Market Place. Also, has been established research unit as the forerunner of the business unit under the auspices of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology University of Sumatera Utara under the name Data Science Research Group.

Indonesia's growing area of cultivation and agriculture requires a monitoring system of growingvegetation on it. By using images captured from the top (orthophotos), the result was processedusing algorithms of digital image processing combined with machine learning in order to get theaccurate information of vegetation status. The long-term goal of this program is the establishment ofan independent business unit engaged in the field of orthophotos image sensing for the purposes ofutilization in agriculture, health, territorial mapping, mining, and industrial and governanceindustries requiring sensing results taken from the upper side of the object. For applicationdevelopment, agile methodology is used, while business-side planning use business model canvasand SWOT analysis. With the geospatial orthophotos, it is possible to identify which part of theplantation land is fertile for planted crops, means to grow perfectly. It is also possible furthermoreto identify less fertile in terms of growing but not perfect, and also part of plantation field that is notgrowing at all. This information can be easily known quickly with the use of UAV photos. Theresulting orthophotos image were processed using Matlab including classification of fertile,infertile, and dead palm oil plants by using Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) method.From the results of research conducted with 30 image samples, it was found that the accuracy of thesystem can be reached by using the features extracted from the matrix as parameters Contrast,Correlation, Energy, and Homogeneity.

This devotional activity has been carried out and runs well in line with the aim of assisting thecommunity of coffee farmers in Buah Raya Village for the management of coffee beans mainly byway of roasting. The tool used is 1 set of coffee cutting equipment equipped with temperaturecontrol and exhaust vapor / hot air to accelerate the cooling process results from roasting. Testingthe production of the tool is done by inserting the coffee beans to be roasting and then setting thetemperature button on the equipment to the temperature used in accordance with the coffee beansare inserted, after finished activate the exhaust steam / hot air and then wait a while for the coffeebeans are cold. Then move the coffee beans to the aluminum plate box as a shelter.

Terrorism groups have obviously put their attention to recruiting new members of educated people like college-age students, a number of terrorists who have been caught showing their status as students or college students. We consider one of the most important ways to be cultivated in a college environment by conducting radical anti-radical and anti-terrorist campaigns and campaigning the right way to deal with situations that focus on radical thinking and action and terrorism. This study will look at students' perceptions within the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of North Sumatra against the danger of radical understanding and understanding of terrorism and prevention solutions for the safety of their surrounding environment. The method used in this study is literature study, documentation and focus group discussion (FGD). The results of this study show a strong appreciation of student discussion groups on the intent and purpose of this activity

Human resources in â€‹â€‹Lake Toba should be built along with the attention and development of natural tourism potential of Lake Toba, that has been given by the government. One of the steps is through education about clean and healthy behavior. This education can be done through the promotion of clean and healthy life behavior for the people of Lake Toba, both in physical and non-physical form. This program is aimed at promoting clean and healthy living behavior (PHBS) through PHBS promotional media created by involving local potency in Lake Toba by use a community figure, institution / institution like Alusi Tao Toba. The method of implementation of this program is to create a media promotion of PHBS by involving local potential and discussion lecture method for training activities of public figures and institutions about PHBS by using media campaign that has been made. The result of the implementation of this activity is the existence of simple and interesting PHBS manual and given to Alusi Tao Toba. In addition, PHBS promotional videos and PHBS banners for PHBS promotional media have been established in Lake Toba area through a partnership.

OSIS and Production Unit SMKS IT Marinah Al-Hidayah Medan are two elements that work together in the development of SMKS IT Marinah Al-Hidayah Medan. Production Unit which is media for students to develop creativity, interests and talents as well as place students to add experience and income with entrepreneurship. The activities to be carried out are the cultivation of oyster mushrooms, the utilization of mushrooms baglog waste and agricultural waste as compost raw material for use as a medium in vertical agricultural systems. However, the problem faced is the difficulty of supplying good quality oyster mushroom independently and also limited information about the technical culture of oyster mushroom cultivation, baglog waste handling and agricultural waste and utilization of school land for vegetable cultivation by vertikultur method. To help overcome these problems, the community service team of the Faculty of Agriculture USU through the Garden School Program conducts training on producing good quality oyster mushroom seeds by introducing mushroom seed making tools, press baglog and 20 m2 of growing room. Wastes baglog mushrooms and agricultural waste from around the school environment then processed into compost using compost machine. The resulting compost is used as a medium for planting organic vegetables using vertikulture cultivation system. Students are also trained to process a variety of food products made from oyster mushroom so that the shelf life, nutritional content and economic value of oyster mushrooms can be increased so it can be marketed to train to increase self-reliance with entrepreneurship.

Children with Special Needs is a person who has behavioral, physical and intellectual barriers that make doctor have to change approach with various ways to do the treatment. Children with special needs is a high-risk group for health problems, especially dental caries and periodontal disease, but in fact they are often too late to get dental treatment or never get the treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence and experience of caries and dental care needs in children with special needs atSLB Taman Pendidikan Islam in Medan. The research was conducted by descriptive survey. The sample was 96 children with special needs with aged between 5-29 years old. Clinical caries examination using def-t / DMF-T (WHO) index and modified Treatment Need Index (TNI). The study is represent that the prevalence of children's caries is 92,71%. Experience of dental caries is 2,28+3,25; while the permanent dental caries experience was 3,02+2,98. Based on Treatment Need Index (TNI), the level of dental care needs was 656 teeth or average dental treatment of each child requires was 6.83 teeth, with the three most needed treatment is a surface restoration was 2.49 teeth, followed by tooth extraction was1.43 teeth and pulp treatment was 0.70 teeth. From the study it can be concluded that the level of dental hygiene in the chidren with special needs was still quite low, as well as the utilization of dental facilities.

Community service activities is one of the obligations that must be implemented by lecturer at the university sabagai one aspect of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. The activity was carried out by a Team of Community Service entitled "The Application of Coconut Waste Processing Technology as Organic Fertilizer and Nata de Coco" is a devotion activity involving two partners, namely Bakti Karya Farmer Group and Mekar Jaya Farmer Group are two groups of farmers who are active in cultivation and coconut cultivation in Desa Asahan Mati, Tanjung Balai Sub-district of Asahan Regency. Problems faced is the low quantity and quality of coconut production caused by the limited information about the culture culture of coconut cultivation, especially aspects of pest control and fertilization. In addition, the presence of coconut straw waste in the form of midrib and leaves and coconut water that is very large to be a problem because it has the potential to cause environmental pollution and become a pest of nests. . In order to solve the problems of both partners, this activity will be conducted in the form of lectures, discussions, practices and introduction of coconut chopping machine in the form of leaf and stem to be used as raw material of organic fertilizer, hybrid coconut seeds and coconut waste water treatment equipment as nata de coco . After the implementation of the dedication activity to the partner community has been able to make organic fertilizer bokashi by utilizing the waste of coconut plants by digging the compost cutting machine that introduced, the practice of hybrid coconut cultivation, and waste water treatment of coconut to nata de coco. The results of these activities can increase hybrid coconut production while maintaining environmental sustainability,

Program kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Memberikan pelatihan keterampilan wirausaha tune up dan cuci motor bagi pemuda putus sekolah di Kota Kediri, 2) Melaksanakan kegiatan praktik wirausaha tune up dan cuci motor bagi pemuda putus sekolah di Kota Kediri. Kesimpulan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat, sebagai berikut: proses belajar Peserta Pelatihan dalam implementasi alternative model pembelajaranketerampilan vokasional teknologi otomotif melalui pendekatan pembelajaran latihan keterampilan dengan demonstrasi memiliki kecenderungan perkembangan yang meningkat setiap fasenya. Peserta Pelatihan dalam proses belajar lebih dapat memahami materi yang diharapkan dapat tercapai dan hasil belajar Peserta Pelatihan dalam pembelajaran. Ketercapaian waktu bidang Tune Up sepeda motor pada Peserta Pelatihan pada setiap fase-nya mengalami peningkatan. Perubahan rata-rata ketercapaian waktu pada praktik Tune Up yang dilaksanakan Peserta Pelatihan menunjukan rata-rata peningkatan yang stabil. Hasil belajar bidang Tune Up pada Peserta Pelatihan dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi mengalami peningkatan setiap fase-nya.
