Abstract

This study was motivated by the learning outcomes of national income material at SMAN 1 Pancung Soal still looks low because there are still many students who have difficulty in understanding the material and students are less active in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the effect of weblog-based learning modules on the learning outcomes of phase F students of SMAN 1 Pancung Soal. This study used a pseudo-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The population consisted of all phase F students in the economics class of the 2024/2025 school year with sampling using purposive sampling technique. The results of media expert validation obtained a percentage of 96% with very valid criteria. The research data shows that the hypothesis is accepted. The results of the man whitney test at a significance level of 0.00 obtained Sig <0.05 which states the effect of using a weblog-based economic module is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study is based on the need to improve student learning outcomes in economics through the application of effective learning models, especially those that can relate economic concepts to real-life situations experienced by students in their daily lives. This study aims to examine the impact of cooperative learning models integrated with the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach on students’ academic performance in economics. This study uses an experimental design with a quantitative approach. The design applied is a nonequivalent control group design, involving two groups of 11th grade high school students an experimental group using the cooperative model with the CTL approach and a control group using the conventional learning model. Economics achievement data were obtained through testing and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The analysis revealed a significance value of 0.000, which is lower than 0.05, indicating that students taught using the cooperative learning model with a CTL approach achieved higher learning outcomes compared to those taught through conventional methods. The findings suggest that applying cooperative learning in conjunction with CTL is effective in enhancing students’ performance in economics. Moreover, this research contributes to the development of learning strategies that are more contextual, engaging, and responsive to students’ individual needs and characteristics.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of understanding and addressing students' tendency to deliberately and continuously procrastinate in completing academic assignments, which affects learning outcomes and can lead to the development of maladaptive habits over time. The objective of this study is to analyze the influence of self-directed learning and peer social environment on academic procrastination among Economics Education students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Padang. This study employs a quantitative methodology with a causal design. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. The population in this study consists of Economics Education students at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Padang. The sample consisted of 209 participants selected through proportional random sampling. The coefficient of determination obtained in this study was 12.3%, indicating that self-directed learning and peer social environment contribute to academic procrastination, while the remaining percentage is explained by factors outside the scope of this study. This research contributes to the development of educational psychology by highlighting the importance of self-regulation skills and social environments in addressing academic procrastination among university students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the utilization of animation media in learner character building. The main focus of this research is to explore how animation media can be used as an effective learning tool in instilling positive character values among learners. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study that collects and analyzes various relevant literature, articles, and previous research on the use of animated media in education. The sources used include scientific journals, books, and research reports that discuss the character of education and the use of animated media in the learning process. The results show that animation media has great potential in improving students' understanding of character values. This media is able to attract attention and increase learning motivation, as well as facilitate understanding of complex concepts through interesting visualizations. In addition, the use of animation media can also help learners internalize character values such as cooperation, responsibility, and empathy. Therefore, it can be concluded that the utilization of animation media in the character building of learners is effective and has a positive impact on the learning process. This study recommends that educators consider the integration of animation media in the education curriculum to enhance the learning process

Abstract

Waste management literacy remains a challenge in schools. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the APiK method (Take, Sort, Reduce) in enhancing waste management literacy among elementary and junior high school students. A quantitative pre-experimental design (one-group pretest-posttest) was used, with data collected through multiple-choice tests. The results showed an increase in the average score from 70.20 to 76.53. A paired t-test indicated a significant difference (p < 0.05), with junior high students showing greater improvement. These findings suggest that the APiK method is effective in improving students' understanding of waste management through contextual and practical learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to explore the effects of traditional music therapy on early childhood emotion regulation in a school setting, specifically at Al Hasanah Luwuk Kindergarten. The study participants consisted of 30 randomly selected children. The research method used a quasi-experimental approach with a pre-test and post-test design. The children were given traditional music therapy sessions for 8 weeks, with a frequency of twice per week. The results showed a significant improvement in children's emotion regulation ability after attending traditional music therapy. Data analysis was conducted using t-test for paired samples, which showed that the mean value of the post-test was higher than the pre-test with p<0.05. The findings suggest that traditional music therapy can be an effective intervention in improving early childhood emotion regulation. The implication of this study is the importance of integrating local cultural elements in school learning programs to support children's emotional development.

Abstract

Economics education is essential for developing students’ critical and analytical thinking, especially in understanding socio-economic issues. However, conventional teaching methods, which still dominate, often result in passive learning and low achievement. This is also evident at SMA Negeri 5 Bukittinggi, where most Grade XI students fail to meet the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM). Observations and questionnaires reveal that learning tends to be monotonous with minimal student engagement. To overcome this, more interactive and student-centered approaches are needed. This study investigates the effect of the discovery learning model assisted by interactive multimedia on student learning outcomes. A quasi-experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design was used. Two purposively selected classes were involved one as the experimental group, the other as the control group. Data were gathered through pre-tests and post-tests, and analyzed using an independent t-test and N-Gain. Results show that discovery learning supported by multimedia significantly improved outcomes. The experimental group scored an average of 72.34, while the control group scored 57.55, indicating moderate improvement. The findings suggest that this model can serve as an effective alternative for enhancing student participation and achievement in economics learning

Abstract

This study examines the integration of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) and Wordwall interactive media in economics education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and bibliometric analysis of ten articles published between 2020 and 2025. The findings show that PjBL, when supported by Wordwall, enhances students’ understanding of economic concepts, learning motivation, engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. Wordwall functions not only as a digital assessment tool but also as a medium for reflection, reinforcement, and real-time feedback. Bibliometric mapping reveals that the keyword “technology” dominates the discourse, indicating a shift toward digital, participatory, and contextual learning strategies. The integration of PjBL and Wordwall emerges as a transformative approach in reshaping economics education to meet the demands of the digital era. This review also identifies implementation patterns and pedagogical considerations essential for maximizing the impact of this integration. The study contributes to the growing body of literature supporting interactive, student-centered learning and offers practical insights for educators and policymakers seeking to modernize economic instruction
