Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, socio-cultural changes occur rapidly, affecting various aspects of life, including education. This research aims to analyse how changes in values, norms, and social structures affect the education system and vice versa, and how education can act as an agent of socio-cultural change. The research method used is a literature study and secondary data analysis from various relevant sources. The results show that education has an important role in shaping individual character and personality to the demands of sociocultural change. In addition, education has proven to be an important tool in facilitating social change, encouraging technological innovation, and strengthening social cohesion in the digital era. changes in curriculum, teaching methods, and educational policies are needed to face the challenges and needs of an ever-evolving society.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between reading habits and essay writing skills of grade IV elementary school students. The method used was descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation which were then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of the study show that students with good reading habits have more structured, coherent, and vocabulary-rich essay writing skills than students who rarely read. This finding confirms that reading habits play an important role in improving writing skills. For future research, it is suggested that further studies be conducted by involving a wider number of subjects and combining quantitative approaches, so as to provide more comprehensive results regarding the contribution of reading habits to the writing skills of elementary school students

Abstract

This research is a literature review aimed at analyzing the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on improving students' critical thinking skills. PBL is a learning model that emphasizes contextual problem-solving as a means to develop higher-order thinking skills. The research method used was a literature review, reviewing various relevant previous research findings from national and international journals. The results of the literature synthesis indicate that the consistent application of the PBL model can improve students' critical thinking skills at various educational levels and fields of study. This is due to the characteristics of PBL, which requires students to analyze problems, seek information, propose hypotheses, and develop solutions independently and collaboratively. Thus, the PBL model has proven effective in developing students' critical thinking skills, creativity, and independent learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the relationship between digital training, teacher innovation, and the challenges of implementing digital platforms among elementary school teachers in Kapanewon Banguntapan, Bantul Regency. The advancement of technology in the Education 5.0 era requires teachers to adapt to digital-based learning, although limitations such as infrastructure, digital literacy, and institutional support remain obstacles. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive survey method. The sample consisted of 22 elementary school teachers selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used a Likert-scale questionnaire (1–5) encompassing three main variables: digital training (X₁), teacher innovation (X₂), and implementation challenges (Y). Data were analyzed using Jamovi through reliability tests, descriptive statistics, and Pearson correlation. Simulated results indicated that all variables had high reliability (α > 0.8). Descriptive results showed that digital training (M = 4.23, SD = 0.45) and teacher innovation (M = 4.10, SD = 0.52) were in the high category, while implementation challenges (M = 2.91, SD = 0.60) were in the low category. Pearson’s correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between digital training and teacher innovation (r = 0.56, p < 0.01) and a significant negative relationship between digital training and implementation challenges (r = –0.42, p < 0.05). These findings highlight the importance of continuous digital training to enhance innovation and reduce barriers in technology based learning. Keywords: digital training, teacher innovation, implementation challenges, digital platform, elementary education ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara pelatihan digital, inovasi guru, dan tantangan implementasi platform digital pada guru sekolah dasar di Kapanewon Banguntapan, Kabupaten Bantul. Kemajuan teknologi di era Pendidikan 5.0 menuntut guru untuk beradaptasi dengan pembelajaran berbasis digital. Namun, masih terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan sarana, literasi digital, dan dukungan institusional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei deskriptif. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 25 guru sekolah dasar yang dipilih secara purposive. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan angket skala Likert 1–5, mencakup tiga variabel utama: pelatihan digital (X₁), inovasi guru (X₂), dan tantangan implementasi (Y). Data dianalisis menggunakan aplikasi Jamovi melalui uji reliabilitas, analisis deskriptif, dan korelasi Pearson. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa semua variabel memiliki reliabilitas tinggi (α > 0,8). Secara deskriptif, pelatihan digital (M = 4,23; SD = 0,45) dan inovasi guru (M = 4,10; SD = 0,52) berada pada kategori tinggi, sedangkan tantangan implementasi (M = 2,91; SD = 0,60) berada pada kategori rendah. Analisis korelasi menunjukkan hubungan positif signifikan antara pelatihan digital dan inovasi guru (r = 0,56, p < 0,01) serta hubungan negatif signifikan antara pelatihan digital dan tantangan implementasi (r = –0,42, p < 0,05). Hasil ini menegaskan pentingnya pelatihan digital berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan inovasi dan mengurangi hambatan guru dalam penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran. Abstract

Anxiety is a common psychological condition that affects emotional and physiological well-being, prompting the need for simple, accessible non-pharmacological interventions. Mandala Coloring has emerged as an art-based activity that may reduce anxiety through relaxation, focus enhancement, and emotional regulation. To summarize current empirical evidence on the effectiveness of Mandala Coloring for reducing anxiety in clinical and non-clinical populations. This systematic review followed PRISMA 2020 guidelines and applied PICOS criteria. Searches in PubMed, ScienceDirect, and SAGE Journals using “Mandala Coloring” AND “Anxiety” yielded 169 articles. Seven studies published between 2020–2025 met the inclusion criteria, consisting of randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental designs. All included studies reported significant reductions in anxiety following Mandala Coloring interventions across various groups, including perioperative cancer patients, burn patients, hospitalized COVID-19 patients, climacteric women, veterans with PTSD, grieving students, and individuals with generalized anxiety disorder. The intervention was found to promote cognitive distraction, emotional balance, and autonomic calming. Differences in intervention duration, population characteristics, and measurement instruments contributed to variations in effect magnitude. Mandala Coloring is a low-cost, adaptable complementary therapy that effectively reduces anxiety in diverse settings. Further research incorporating physiological indicators and evaluating application in high-stress clinical environments is recommended.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the manifestation of toxic relationship behaviors in a female high school student, identify the contributing factors, and examine the resulting impacts on academic, emotional, and social functioning. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving the student, the school counselor, homeroom teacher, parents, and peers. The findings reveal that toxic relationship patterns are demonstrated through excessive jealousy, heightened worry, controlling tendencies, and repetitive conflicts. Contributing factors arise from internal aspects such as emotional exhaustion, disrupted self-regulation, and unstable emotional attachment, as well as external aspects including permissive parental monitoring, unsupportive school dynamics, and peer influence. The impacts include decreased academic motivation, socio-emotional withdrawal, and impaired concentration. The intervention, conducted using the Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) approach, resulted in positive changes in the student’s emotional regulation, relational boundaries, and learning consistency.

Abstract

This study aims to discuss the forms of social media use as a learning aid in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to enhance students’ learning motivation in class XII F7 at SMA Negeri 8 Jambi City, as well as to identify the advantages and disadvantages of using social media in PAI learning, and to describe students’ learning motivation through the use of social media in the learning process. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include observation, structured interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification following the Miles and Huberman model, with data validity checked through source and method triangulation. The results show that social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Drive are used as tools for discussion, material sharing, and assignment submission. The use of social media has been proven to increase students’ learning motivation by creating a more interactive, flexible, and creative learning process. Students become more confident in expressing opinions, more active in discussions, and more independent in finding learning materials. However, several challenges were also identified, such as distractions from entertainment content and dependence on technology, which can reduce students’ participation in direct religious activities. Overall, the use of social media has a significant positive impact on improving students’ motivation to learn Islamic Religious Education, as long as it is used appropriately and guided by teachers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan outdoor learning dalam pembelajaran IPA serta kontribusinya terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan campuran dengan model sekuensial eksplanatori yang memadukan analisis kuantitatif dan kualitatif secara berurutan. Data kuantitatif dikumpulkan melalui pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar IPA, sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui observasi aktivitas siswa dan wawancara dengan guru serta siswa untuk memahami proses perkembangan kemampuan berpikir kritis selama kegiatan luar ruangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 67 menjadi 80 setelah penerapan outdoor learning. Siswa tampak lebih antusias, aktif, dan menunjukkan kemampuan observasi, interpretasi, dan analisis yang lebih baik terhadap fenomena ilmiah di lapangan. Data observasi menunjukkan perkembangan yang jelas pada aspek berpikir kritis, sementara wawancara mengonfirmasi bahwa pembelajaran luar ruangan membuat konsep IPA lebih mudah dipahami dan relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa outdoor learning berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis melalui pengalaman belajar autentik dan kontekstual. Penelitian ini mengimplikasikan perlunya guru mengintegrasikan aktivitas luar ruangan sebagai bagian dari strategi pembelajaran IPA yang mendorong keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi.

Abstract

Internalization of Islamic Religious Education values plays a crucial role in shaping students' intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence, particularly amidst the challenges of character development in the modern era. This study aims to describe the process of internalizing Islamic Religious Education values and its implications for the development of these two intelligences at MI Hamzanwadi No. 1 Pancor. The study employed a qualitative case study approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that internalization of values occurs through teacher role models, the practice of daily worship and etiquette, the conditioning of a religious environment, and the enforcement of rules. This process impacts on increasing students' intrapersonal intelligence, such as the ability to recognize oneself, manage emotions, and build self-motivation; and interpersonal intelligence, such as the ability to communicate politely, cooperate, and empathize. Thus, internalization of Islamic Religious Education values has been proven effective in shaping students' overall character.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Arabic language learning at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) level plays an important role, particularly in improving reading skills (maharah qirā’ah) as a foundation for understanding religious texts and other learning materials. However, low learning motivation and limited vocabulary mastery remain major obstacles in acquiring maharah qirā’ah. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Arabic comic media in enhancing the reading skills of seventh-grade students at MTs Hidayatullah Denpasar. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design (One Group Pretest–Posttest Design). The sample consisted of 20 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation, then analyzed using a paired sample t-test with SPSS. The results showed an increase in the average score from the pretest (42) to the posttest (60.5). The t-test significance value was 0.000 (< 0.005), and the calculated t-value was smaller than the table t-value (-11.103 < -2.093), indicating that the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. Therefore, Arabic comic media proved effective in improving students’ reading skills. This medium also created an enjoyable and interactive learning atmosphere, although attention should still be given to the potential for visual distractions during the learning process. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab di tingkat Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) memiliki peran penting, terutama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan membaca (maharah qira’ah) sebagai dasar untuk memahami teks-teks keagamaan dan materi pelajaran lainnya. Namun, rendahnya minat belajar serta keterbatasan penguasaan kosakata menjadi kendala dalam penguasaan maharah qira’ah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media komik berbahasa Arab dalam meningkatkan keterampilan maharah qira’ah siswa kelas VII di MTs Hidayatullah Denpasar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental (One Group Pretest-Posttest Design). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji paired sample t-test melalui SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari pretest (42) menjadi posttest (60,5). Nilai signifikansi uji t sebesar 0.000 (< 0.005) dan nilai -t hitung lebih kecil dari -t tabel (-11.103 < -2.093) yang berarti Ho ditolak. Dengan demikian, media komik berbahasa Arab terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca siswa. Media ini juga menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan interaktif, meskipun tetap perlu perhatian terhadap potensi distraksi visual dalam pembelajaran.
