Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to describe the application of Pancasila values in students' activities at school, at home, and in the community. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation with the principal, teachers, and students at SDN 101738 Diski. The results indicate that the internalization of Pancasila values is reflected in students' daily habits, including religious attitudes, discipline, cooperation, tolerance, and responsibility. The application of these values is reinforced by familiarization at school and support from family and the community. This study confirms that Pancasila-based character education plays a crucial role in shaping moral, critical, and competitive individuals as the nation's next generation.

This study aims to describe the instillation of patriotism character values in students of Hosana Private Elementary School, Medan Deli. The method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, with data sources including the principal, teachers, students, and related documents. Data were collected through observations of school activities, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then tested for validity by triangulating sources and analyzed through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that patriotism values are instilled through intracurricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, with the support of the active role of teachers, a conducive school culture, and student involvement in activities based on local culture and nationalism.

This study aims to describe the application of the values of hard work and responsibility in extracurricular Scouting activities in elementary schools. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Scout leaders, and students. The results indicate that the values of hard work and responsibility are instilled through practical activities, competitions, and outdoor activities that foster discipline and a sense of responsibility in students. This study recommends reinforcing these character values in learning and suggests further study of other character values.

This study examines the low level of student engagement in contextual and creative Islamic learning in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of Digital Project Based Learning (DPjBL) in the Introduction to Islamic Studies course and its contribution to improving Islamic literacy among students of the Early Childhood Islamic Education Department at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that DPjBL encouraged students to produce various digital products such as videos, podcasts, and infographics that represent Islamic values in a contextual and moderate way. The project also enhanced students’ critical thinking, collaboration, and ethical awareness in digital da’wah. The study concludes that DPjBL effectively integrates Islamic values with digital technology and is recommended for broader implementation in Islamic education courses to strengthen 21st-century competencies.

Composite is a combination of two or more materials to obtain better combined properties. Composites can be based on natural or synthetic fibers. Natural fiber composites utilize fibers as reinforcement and polymers as a matrix, with the advantages of being light, strong, and environmentally friendly. Hybrid composites combine two or more types of fibers or matrices to combine the advantages of each, resulting in better performance than a single composite. The purpose of this study is to analyze the composite of coconut fiber and corn husk which are natural fibers on the impact strength of the composite as an alternative material for car bumpers. The method used is an experiment with a composite manufacturing process using hand lay up. This study uses a combination of coconut fiber and corn husk fiber with a polyester matrix and MEKPO catalyst. The composition of fiber and matrix is 40% fiber and 60% matrix. The results of the study obtained the highest impact strength value of 0.09767 J/mm2 with a volume fraction of 32% Coconut Fiber: 8% Corn Husk Fiber: 60% Polyester Resin. The soaking time of 5% NaOH for 6 hours has the highest impact strength value of 0.09767 J/mm2. The standard bumper has a minimum impact strength of 0.039 J/mm2. The material, soaked for 4 and 6 hours, can be used as an alternative material for car bumpers because it exceeds the standard impact strength..

This study aims to analyze the role of the Education Management Information System in supporting strategic decision-making to improve the performance of educational institutions. The challenges of managing educational institutions in the 21st century require data-driven managerial transformation that is both accurate and efficient. The Education Management Information System is presented as an integrative solution in supporting this process. The research method used is Library Research with data collection techniques through literature review from various relevant sources, while data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the Education Management Information System acts as the foundation for data-driven decision making by integrating data from all work units and presenting it in the form of real-time strategic information. The use of this system has a significant impact on improving institutional performance through increased effectiveness in achieving strategic objectives, operational efficiency, and public accountability. However, its implementation faces challenges in the form of resistance to change and data quality issues. Therefore, its successful implementation requires strong commitment from leaders and the instilling of a data-based mindset in the entire academic community.

The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) presents significant opportunities for improving school management, yet simultaneously raises ethical concerns related to privacy, digital equity, and accountability. This study aims to analyze the readiness for AI implementation in school management across East Kalimantan using a mixed-methods approach that combines empirical dataset analysis with a philosophical review grounded in deontology, utilitarianism, and virtue ethics. The dataset consists of 30 schools and includes variables related to infrastructure readiness, such as the number of computers, internet availability, and AI usage levels (None–High). The findings indicate that 66.67% of schools have internet access; however, AI adoption remains relatively low, with most schools categorized as Low or Medium. These results highlight that infrastructure inequality can create digital injustice in AI deployment. The philosophical analysis emphasizes the need for comprehensive ethical policies, including data protection, algorithmic auditing, and human oversight, to ensure that AI implementation is fair and responsible. The study recommends a phased approach to AI adoption, enhanced technological literacy among educators, and strengthened data governance to ensure AI supports humanistic values and educational equity.

This study aims to: 1) To find out the difference in mathematical problem-solving abilities of grade V students of SDN 90 Singkawang who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and conventional learning. 2) To determine the improvement of the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade V students of SDN 90 Singkawang using the problem based learning model. 3) To determine the influence of the problem based learning model to mathematical problem-solving skills. The research was conducted in grade IV of SDN 90 Singkawang because students had not yet reached the completion of learning Mathematics. As a solution, the problem based learning model is used, which is real problem-based learning that encourages students to build their own knowledge, develop high-minded, independent, and confident skills. This study uses a quasi-experimental design. It is concluded that learning using the problem based learning model on the ability to solve mathematical problems is effective. Based on the results of the study, it is known that: 1) there are differences in the mathematical problem-solving abilities of grade V students of SDN 90 Singkawang who are taught with the Problem Based Learning model and conventional learning. Based on the results of the Tcount obtained of 5,849 and obtained the Ttable of 2,010, it was found that the Tcount > Ttable was 5,849 > 2,010. 2) there is an improvement in the mathematical problem-solving ability of grade V students of SDN 90 Singkawang using the problem based learning. Based on the results of the N-gain score obtained at 0.58 and obtained an N-gain % of 58% in the medium category. 3) there is an effect of the problem based learning Learning model on mathematical problem-solving ability. Based on the Effect Size of 1.68 and is in the large category.

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi merupakan ciri utama Kurikulum Merdeka yang menuntut guru menyesuaikan pembelajaran dengan kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar peserta didik. Namun, implementasinya di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi berbagai problematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis problematika yang dialami guru sekolah dasar dalam menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi melalui kajian literatur terhadap lima artikel yang relevan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik literature review melalui proses penelusuran, seleksi, dan analisis tematik literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa problematika utama muncul pada tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan asesmen, seperti kesulitan memetakan kebutuhan belajar siswa, keterbatasan pemahaman mengenai diferensiasi, kurangnya variasi media pembelajaran, pengelolaan kelas heterogen, serta keterbatasan waktu. Solusi yang direkomendasikan meliputi pelatihan dan pendampingan guru, kolaborasi penyusunan perangkat ajar, penyediaan media interaktif, serta peningkatan asesmen diagnostik. Kajian ini menegaskan bahwa dukungan kompetensi dan sarana memadai diperlukan agar pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dapat diterapkan secara efektif dalam Kurikulum Merdeka.

This study aims to describe the role of instructional leadership in optimizing the use of digital media supported by the presence of learning communities at SMP Birrul Walidain Muhammadiyah Plupuh. The transformation of 21st-century learning requires schools to integrate technology effectively, positioning principals not only as administrative managers but also as instructional leaders who can initiate, facilitate, and direct the enhancement of teachers’ digital competence. Learning communities function as collaborative platforms where teachers share best practices, engage in reflection, and strengthen their ability to utilize digital media in a sustainable manner. The findings reveal that instructional leadership at this school is demonstrated through the provision of training, mentoring, collaborative routines, and monitoring of digital media use in classroom practices. Learning communities significantly reinforce digital transformation initiatives by fostering a culture of mutual learning among teachers and accelerating technological adaptation. These findings highlight that the synergy between instructional leadership and learning communities serves as a key factor in optimizing digital media for 21st-century learning.
