Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of Augmented Reality (AR)-based flipbook media in science learning in elementary schools from cognitive and non-cognitive aspects, as well as to identify opportunities and challenges in its implementation. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of articles published between 2022 and 2025 obtained from Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Semantic Scholar, Garuda, and DOAJ. Of the 228 initial articles, nine articles met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study show that AR-based flipbooks are effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes with moderate to high N-Gain scores (0.38–0.78) and have a positive impact on students' interest, motivation, and learning engagement. This medium is also considered feasible and practical for use in science education. However, its implementation still faces challenges in the form of device limitations, internet access, teacher readiness, and facility gaps. Overall, Augmented Reality (AR)-based flipbooks have the potential to improve the quality of science education in elementary schools if supported by infrastructure readiness and educator competence.

Abstract

Human trafficking is one of the most complex forms of human rights violations, as it involves the exploitation of the dignity and freedom of individuals, especially children. Human trafficking is one of the most complex forms of human rights violations. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of national human rights instruments in protecting child victims of human trafficking in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara. A descriptive-qualitative research approach was employed by combining literature review, analysis of laws and regulations, and interviews with relevant stakeholders, including civil society, law enforcement, and child protection institutions. The findings indicate that human trafficking cases in Kupang City have not yet fully benefited from the use of national human rights instruments. Weak inter- agency coordination, limited resources, inadequate protection and recovery facilities for victims, and low public understanding of children's rights are the main factors influencing this condition. Although various legal frameworks such as Law No. 21 of 2007 on the Eradication of Human Trafficking and Law No. 35 of 2014 on Child Protection are available, their implementation at the regional level still faces institutional and cultural barriers. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening a human rights-based child protection system by increasing public awareness of the risks of human trafficking, enhancing cross-sector collaboration, and improving government capacity. To provide comprehensive and sustainable protection for child victims of human trafficking, legal, social, and educational strategies must be effectively integrated.

Abstract

This study examines the dynamics of multiculturalism in Indonesia, focusing on the level of tolerance and conflict patterns in diverse societies. The aim is to understand how the principles of multiculturalism are implemented, the factors that build tolerance, and the causes of intergroup tensions. Using a descriptive qualitative approach through a literature review, document analysis, and brief interviews, this study found that the practice of tolerance is quite strong due to local cultural values, the role of community leaders, and government-supported policies. However, conflicts still arise due to political interests, economic inequality, stereotypes, and the spread of misinformation in digital media. These findings indicate that multiculturalism is not yet fully stable and needs to be strengthened through inclusive education, cross-cultural dialogue, and socially just policies. Multiculturalism remains a key foundation of unity that must be continuously maintained.

The research subjects consisted of second-grade students as the main informant and second-grade teachers as supporting informants. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation of students' writing results. Data were analyzed using coding techniques to facilitate grouping findings and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are still various errors in capitalization, especially in capitalizing at the beginning of sentences, proper names, place names, and the use of capital letters after periods. Factors causing errors include students' lack of understanding of the rules of capitalization, low interest and motivation of students in learning to write, as well as limited time and learning strategies used by teachers. This study emphasizes the importance of strengthening writing learning that is more interesting, focused, and appropriate to students' needs to minimize capitalization errors at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This evaluation was conducted to assess the Savings Movement program at SDN 23 Mendo Barat using the Stake model. The main focus of the evaluation was how this program was able to develop a habit of saving in elementary school students. Problems that emerged in the field included low student motivation to set aside money regularly, the perception that money was only for snacks, and a lack of guidance from parents and teachers regarding the importance of saving from an early age. The evaluation used a qualitative approach with the Stake method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving students, teachers, and parents. The evaluation results showed that the program was running quite well with the support of the school, teachers, and parents. Regular saving activities not only trained discipline but also fostered a sense of responsibility and appreciation for the value of money. Obstacles identified were uneven student motivation, limited parental involvement, and manual savings record keeping. Nevertheless, this program was quite effective in developing savings habits and supporting children's financial literacy. This evaluation recommended that the school strengthen cooperation with parents and develop a more practical record- keeping system.

Abstract

This research examines the impact of globalization on the dynamics of local culture, which has long been an important part of Indonesian identity. The flow of globalization, triggered by advances in communication technology, increased population movement, and the intensity of interaction between countries, has brought about significant changes in cultural values, norms, and practices passed down through generations. This study employed a desk study method, examining various scientific literature discussing the relationship between globalization and culture. The results show that the influence of globalization is evident in three main aspects of culture: communication patterns and social relations, economic and environmental conditions, and the behavioral orientations of the younger generation. These changes are evident in the weakening role of traditional institutions, the decreasing use of regional languages, and the increasing cultural uniformity due to the dominance of global media. Furthermore, the younger generation's interest in traditional cultural activities has also declined due to their increased exposure to global popular culture. These findings underscore the need for strategic and targeted measures to maintain the sustainability of local culture. These efforts include strengthening government policies related to cultural protection, empowering indigenous communities, strengthening local wisdom-based education, and utilizing digital technology to support the promotion, documentation, and preservation of culture to ensure its relevance amidst rapid global change.

Abstract

The presence of students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in mainstream classrooms requires teachers to implement more dynamic classroom management strategies. This study explores the real-world challenges faced by a third-grade teacher at SDN Cipondok in guiding an ADHD student who exhibits hyperactive behavior and significant difficulty maintaining focus. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were gathered through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with the teacher, and an analysis of documents related to the student's development. The findings reveal that the primary obstacle lies in the teacher's dual workload, caused by the absence of a shadow teacher and a lack of specialized learning media to engage the student's attention. Furthermore, environmental factors and a lack of intensive collaboration with parents hinder the optimization of the learning process. This study suggests the critical need for specialized training for general classroom teachers to better manage the diverse needs of students in an inclusive school setting.
