Abstract

Learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at the elementary school level continues to face challenges in visualizing abstract concepts, such as the hydrological cycle, ecosystem structures, and socio-cultural dynamics, which necessitates innovative approaches to support young learners’ conceptual understanding. Augmented Reality (AR) is an emerging educational technology that integrates three-dimensional virtual objects into real-world environments in an interactive and contextual manner, aligning with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum in the post–COVID-19 era. This study aims to map research trends on Augmented Reality in elementary IPAS learning from 2018 to 2025 through a systematic literature review and bibliometric analysis. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA protocol on articles indexed in Scopus, complemented by bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer software. A total of 27 high-quality journal articles were selected through rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings indicate a substantial increase in publications after 2020, with major thematic clusters focusing on improvements in cognitive learning outcomes, students’ intrinsic motivation, inquiry- and project-based learning approaches, and personalized learning. Bibliometric mapping also reveals the dominance of Asian countries’ contributions, supported by multidisciplinary collaboration networks among researchers, institutions, and reputable journals. Despite these advancements, gaps remain in long-term longitudinal research designs and in addressing unequal access to AR technology, particularly in rural areas. Overall, this study provides valuable insights for the development of innovative and inclusive technology-enhanced IPAS learning, while contributing to curriculum advancement and supporting the realization of adaptive and innovative Pancasila Student Profiles.

Abstract

Bullying in educational settings remains a serious issue with significant academic, social, and psychological consequences for students, including those in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). The residential nature of pesantren, characterized by 24-hour supervision, intensive social interaction, and hierarchical relationships, presents both opportunities for character formation and risks of unmonitored bullying practices. In response to this challenge, the Child-Friendly Pesantren Program (Program Pesantren Ramah Anak/PRA) was developed to integrate child protection principles into pesantren governance and daily practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Child-Friendly Pesantren Program as an effort to prevent bullying among students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Basyariyah Bandung. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted inductively using the Deming PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) quality management framework. The findings indicate that the PRA program is implemented through the reinforcement of religious-humanistic values, role modeling by caregivers, the institutionalization of non-violent disciplinary practices, and the establishment of a Student Guidance and Counseling Unit (BK-Santri) serving both preventive and remedial functions. These initiatives have contributed to increased student awareness of empathy, improved access to safe reporting mechanisms, and a reduction in interpersonal conflicts and bullying incidents. However, challenges remain, particularly in the areas of systematic documentation, data-based evaluation, and dependence on key institutional actors. Overall, the study demonstrates that the Child-Friendly Pesantren Program has significant potential to create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable educational environment when supported by a continuous quality improvement approach based on the PDCA cycle.

Abstract

The development of digital technology in the 21st century requires educational units to optimize school strategies in creating adaptive, innovative and relevant learning. This research aims to analyze the optimization of school strategies through technology integration, increasing educator competence, and the use of the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) sustainable management model. Using a qualitative approach to case studies located at SDN Ciranjang Girang 2 and SDN Pangestu, data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. The research results show that both schools have made significant efforts in the aspects of digital planning, implementing blended learning, strengthening TPACK-based teacher competencies, and utilizing analytical learning in the evaluation process. However, challenges related to infrastructure, teacher resistance, and limited digital devices are still the main obstacles. This research concludes that optimizing school strategies must be carried out in an integrated manner through increasing human resource capacity, updating school policies, and external environmental support. The research results provide a model of recommended strategies that elementary schools can use in implementing sustainable digital education.

Abstract

This study was conducted to review various journals discussing the application of two-sample hypothesis testing in the context of quantitative research in statistics courses. The review was conducted using a literature review method, namely taking references or data sources from reading materials such as journals and articles. The results of this study are to observe the application of the two-sample t-test to test the effectiveness after the application of the two-sample hypothesis test with the type of independent sample test and paired sample test. The findings also revealed that the selection of the test type is greatly influenced by the fulfillment of the assumptions of normality and uniformity of variance. Several articles emphasize the importance of sample size, the validity of the measuring instrument, and control for interfering variables to increase the reliability of the results of the hypothesis test. Overall, this review concludes that two-sample hypothesis testing is an efficient and widely used statistical analysis method, but its application must be accompanied by a deep understanding of statistical assumptions for accurate interpretation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the media branding division's strategy in optimizing the publication and Image of the Directorate of Agromaritime Community Development (DPMA IPB), focusing on its goal to be active, credible, and innovative. Utilizing a qualitative approach through active participation observation and in-depth interviews, the research was conducted within DPMA IPB. The findings indicate that the Division's strategic efforts to project its institutional Identity (Melewar, Foroudi, & Jin, 2020) have encountered a significant Image gap. This gap is primarily due to two constraints: the low readership rate of articles and a monotonous and overly formal writing style. This failure to transform technical material into engaging narratives directly resulted in low audience Engagement (low page views), suggesting the institutional message was not effectively delivered. The study concludes that achieving a credible Reputation requires the Division to intensify its narrative strategies (storytelling) and implement a robust data-based evaluation system to validate the public's perception and optimize the institutional image.

Abstract

The character of reading enthusiasm is one of the fundamental aspects that needs to be developed from the elementary school level as a foundation for lifelong learning. However, the low reading interest of elementary school students remains a problem faced by the education sector in Indonesia. This condition has an impact on students’ low literacy skills, particularly in understanding texts, processing information, and developing critical thinking abilities. The lack of reading habits from an early age also causes students to be passive in the learning process and experience difficulties in understanding various subjects. In addition, the limited availability of literacy-supporting facilities in schools, such as the lack of interesting reading materials and less literate learning environments, further exacerbates students’ low reading interest. Therefore, strategic and sustainable efforts from schools are needed to foster a reading culture as an integral part of the educational process in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the role of reading corners as a medium for shaping the character of reading enthusiasm among elementary school students. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving teachers and elementary school students as research subjects. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the presence of well-managed reading corners, equipped with a variety of reading materials and supported by the active role of teachers, can increase students’ reading frequency and interest. Furthermore, reading corners contribute to the development of independent reading habits and the internalization of character values such as discipline, responsibility, and curiosity. Therefore, reading corners can be considered an effective literacy medium in supporting the formation of reading enthusiasm character among elementary school students.

Abstract

This descriptive qualitative research aimed to analyze the mathematical problem-solving abilities of 32 students in class IX A of SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Selatan, specifically when solving System of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV) word problems. The evaluation framework was based on Polya's four steps (understanding the problem, devising a plan, carrying out the plan, and looking back). Through tests and interviews, students were categorized into three groups: students with high ability successfully completed all four Polya steps accurately; students with moderate ability typically managed to complete only three steps and showed weakness in the crucial looking back stage; and students with low ability often only managed to understand the problem or entirely failed to formulate a solution plan. The analysis ultimately revealed a significant weakness in students' capabilities at the planning, execution, and especially the looking back stages. Therefore, the study recommends that these abilities be improved through regular practice with non-routine problems that specifically emphasize the systematic application of Polya's steps.
