Abstract

The development of digital technology has transformed patterns of communication in society, particularly among adolescents. One significant change is in language use, which is now heavily influenced by social media. This study aims to describe the influence of social media usage on students’ language skills, especially writing and reading skills, at SMPN 14 Serang City. The theoretical framework of this study is based on Stephen Krashen’s Second Language Acquisition theory, which emphasizes the importance of comprehensible input and a supportive learning environment in language acquisition. This research is also strengthened by digital linguistic theories that explain how social media shapes communication patterns and language styles among younger generations. This study employs a quantitative approach using a descriptive correlational method. The research population consists of ninth-grade students at SMPN 14 Serang City, with a sample of 78 students selected through stratified random sampling. The instruments used include a questionnaire measuring the intensity of social media use as well as reading and writing tests. Data were analyzed using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression. The results indicate that most students at SMPN 14 Serang City have good writing and reading abilities. Writing activities on social media, such as creating status updates, captions, private messages, and comments, indirectly train students to construct sentences and express ideas. Students’ reading abilities are also supported by exposure to various texts on social media, although deeper comprehension still needs improvement. The correlation test shows a positive and significant relationship between the intensity of social media use and writing skills (r = 0.45; p < 0.05) as well as reading skills (r = 0.38; p < 0.05). These findings indicate that social media use contributes to the development of students’ literacy skills, particularly in writing fluency and literal reading comprehension, although guidance is still needed to ensure appropriate and standard language use.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan ragam sapaan yang digunakan Generasi Z dalam komunikasi WhatsApp pertemanan siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Serang serta mengidentifikasi faktor sosiolinguistik yang memengaruhinya. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari perkembangan komunikasi digital yang dipengaruhi teknologi, media sosial, dan budaya populer, sehingga sapaan tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai penanda identitas kelompok dan dinamika sosial remaja. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, dokumentasi screenshot, dan wawancara terhadap 50 siswa, kemudian dianalisis secara tematik melalui reduksi, koding, dan interpretasi berbasis teori sosiolinguistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lima kategori sapaan, yaitu sapaan nama diri, kekerabatan, jabatan atau peran sosial, identitas kelompok, serta sapaan nonformal atau slang. Pemilihan sapaan dipengaruhi oleh usia, jenis kelamin, status sosial, konteks percakapan, dan budaya populer. Penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa komunikasi digital telah melahirkan ragam sapaan yang dinamis, kreatif, dan kontekstual, sehingga pemahaman terhadap fenomena ini penting untuk mendukung pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia yang relevan dan membantu guru serta orang tua memahami pola komunikasi generasi muda.

Abstract

Collaboration between parents and teachers is a strategic component in enhancing the professionalism of early childhood educators. In early childhood education, teacher professionalism is shaped not only by pedagogical competence but also by the ability to build partnerships with parents as the primary learning environment for children. This literature-based study analyzes various forms of parent–teacher collaboration and their contribution to improving teacher professionalism in early childhood education. The findings indicate that effective collaboration involves two-way communication, joint planning of learning activities, parent involvement in school programs, and the use of parental feedback to improve teacher capacity. Such synergy supports the development of pedagogical, social, personal, and professional competencies. The study concludes that partnership-oriented approaches rooted in trust, communication, and active participation are essential to improving PAUD educational quality.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the challenge of cultivating a sound moral-spiritual foundation (qalbun salim) in early childhood. It aims to develop a model for internalizing the value of honesty, derived from the story of Prophet Musa in the Quran, to strengthen qalbun salim. Employing qualitative library research with thematic interpretation (tafsir maudhu'i), the study synthesizes exegetical findings with pedagogical theories. The results construct a three-phase internalization model: (1) Narrative Engagement, introducing the story's ethical core; (2) Affective Connection, fostering emotional-spiritual reflection on honesty; and (3) Habitual Reinforcement, through activities embodying truthful behavior. The study concludes that the story of Musa offers a profound narrative framework for concretizing qalbun salim, advocating for the integration of such scripturally-based models into early childhood curricula to build a strong ethical foundation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning interest and motivation of students caused by conventional teaching methods and limited use of interactive learning media. One innovative alternative is the use of digital game-based learning media such as Educaplay. This study aims to determine the implementation of game-based learning media Educaplay in improving learning interest and motivation of third-grade students at SD Islam Al Hikmah in Civic Education on the topic of rights and obligations. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of 16 third-grade students and a classroom teacher. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through triangulation techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of Educaplay creates a more interactive and participatory learning environment. Students showed increased enthusiasm, focus, and active involvement during the learning process. In addition, students’ learning interest and motivation improved, as reflected in stronger intrinsic interest, higher enthusiasm, active participation, and positive responses to learning activities. Therefore, game-based learning media Educaplay is effective in enhancing learning interest and motivation of elementary school students.

Abstract

Prayer is the pillar of Islam that carries not only ritual dimensions but also spiritual, moral, and social values. In rural communities, strengthening the understanding and practice of congregational prayer faces several challenges, particularly in terms of limitedknowledge and consistency in implementation. This study aims to explore the strategies employed by Islamic teachers (ustadz) in teaching the practice of congregational prayer at the Darul Ilmi Study Assembly in Kubangan Tompek Village, Batahan Subdistrict, Mandailing Natal Regency. This research applied a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving both the ustadz and community members, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the ustadz utilized interactivelectures, reinforcement through Qur’anic verses and hadiths, and communicative language tailored to the daily lives of the participants. These strategies proved effective in improving the participants’ understanding of prayer procedures while also instillingspiritual and social values. The challenges identified include the ustadz’s inconsistent attendance and external factors such as weather conditions that hinder the continuity of the study sessions. In conclusion, the effectiveness of prayer education in the assembly is strongly influenced by the ustadz’s consistency and the application of strategies aligned with the rural community context.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of parental divorce on the fulfillment of children’s rights and obligations, particularly concerning the rights to financial support, education, care, and protection after divorce. This research employs a normative legal research method with a qualitative approach, focusing on the examination of legal norms governing parental obligations and the protection of children’s rights following divorce. The approaches used include statutory and conceptual approaches by reviewing relevant laws and regulations, legal doctrines, and previous studies related to children’s rights after divorce. The legal materials consist of primary, secondary, and tertiary sources, which are analyzed using a qualitative-descriptive method. The results of the study indicate that, juridically, divorce does not eliminate parents’ obligations toward their children, as stipulated in the Marriage Law, the Compilation of Islamic Law, and child protection regulations. However, in practice, various problems are still found in fulfilling children’s rights after divorce. The findings reveal that the obligation to provide child support is often not carried out optimally, the fulfillment of children’s educational rights is hindered, child care tends to be borne by only one parent, and children’s psychological protection is weakened due to post-divorce conflicts. Therefore, parental divorce has a real impact on the neglect of children’s fundamental rights, highlighting the need to increase parents’ legal awareness, strengthen the active role of the courts, and enhance law enforcement to ensure the fulfillment of children’s rights and their best interests after divorce.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas konsep mahar dalam perspektif Mazhab Hanafi, Undang‑Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 1974, dan Kompilasi Hukum Islam (KHI) di Indonesia. Mahar dipahami sebagai hak mutlak istri yang wajib dipenuhi suami, berfungsi sebagai simbol penghormatan, tanggung jawab, dan legitimasi akad nikah. Mazhab Hanafi menekankan batas minimal dan bentuk harta, sedangkan regulasi nasional memberikan fleksibilitas dalam bentuk, jumlah, dan kesepakatan kedua pihak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi pustaka, menganalisis literatur fiqh, UU Perkawinan, dan KHI secara deskriptif-komparatif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan persamaan dalam penekanan hak istri dan kewajiban suami, tetapi terdapat perbedaan konseptual terkait nilai minimal, jenis, dan bentuk mahar. Perbedaan ini berimplikasi pada praktik hukum pernikahan, khususnya dalam penafsiran dan penyelesaian sengketa di pengadilan agama. KHI berperan sebagai instrumen harmonisasi, mengakomodasi prinsip fiqh klasik dan regulasi nasional sehingga mahar tetap menjadi hak istri dan ekspresi tanggung jawab suami tanpa membebani calon pasangan. Penelitian menekankan pentingnya keselarasan antara nilai fiqh dan hukum positif untuk menjamin keadilan, kemudahan, dan perlindungan hak dalam praktik pernikahan di Indonesia.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study analyzes the management of the Al-Idrak Journal as part of the Journal House strategy at STIT Al-Ihsan Baleendah to improve accreditation and enhance scientific publication activity. The main issue addressed in this research is the incomplete fulfillment of several national accreditation indicators, particularly those related to article history transparency, metadata completeness, digital identification, indexing quality, and the diversity of authors and reviewers. This study aims to map the current condition of journal management, identify its strengths and weaknesses, and formulate strategies for improving journal quality. Using a qualitative approach with a content analysis method, this research systematically examines OJS pages, editorial policies, publication consistency, reviewer profiles, indexing status, metadata completeness, and other digital documents. The findings show that although Al-Idrak has met several basic elements of journal management, such as ISSN registration, OJS implementation, and an editorial structure, several strategic components remain unfulfilled, including editorial process transparency, DOI implementation, Creative Commons licensing, standardized metadata, national indexing, and author diversification. These conditions indicate that the journal is still at a foundational management stage and requires substantial improvements to meet national accreditation standards. This study recommends strengthening digital documentation, enhancing editorial professionalism, expanding author networks, diversifying reviewers, and optimizing the role of the Journal House as a center for institutional publication development. Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of speech acts and their influence in building interactions between speakers and speech partners. This can certainly take place well and run smoothly because there is a principle of cooperation put forward by Grice, namely four maxims, namely quantity, quality, relevance, and methods that must be adhered to in communication on the HAS Creative Youtube Channel Coffee Shop Podcast Program. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive method. The data source in this study comes from the HAS Creative Youtube Channel Coffee Shop Podcast Program. The data in this study are all speech acts of oral sources in communication activities which are classified into locutionary speech acts, illocutionary speech acts, and perlocutionary speech acts. By using the principle of cooperation that proposes four maxims, namely quantity, quality, relevance, and manner that must be adhered to by participants in the conversation so that communication runs effectively in the interaction between the host and the resource person. The data collection technique used is the listening and note-taking technique. Based on the results of the speech act research conducted, thirty-one data were found consisting of eight locutionary speech sentences, eleven illocutionary speech sentences, twelve perlocutionary speech sentences. In addition, it was also found from the research on the principle of cooperation maxims that were conducted, there were thirty-one data consisting of eight quantity maxim speech sentences, fifteen quality maxim speech sentences, seven relevance maxim speech sentences, and one maxim speech sentence data.
