Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the differences and the effects of the Game Based Learning (GBL) model assisted by JELAJAH media on students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration skills in grade IV of SDN Lemahireng 01. The problem underlying this research is the low level of students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration skills in IPAS learning, caused by teacher-centered learning models that do not actively engage students. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes: class IV A as the control group and class IV B as the experimental group. Data were collected through conceptual understanding tests, collaboration skills questionnaires, and learning implementation observation sheets. The data were analyzed using an independent sample t-test and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there were differences in conceptual understanding and collaboration skills between students taught using the GBL model assisted by JELAJAH media and those taught using conventional learning. Furthermore, the regression analysis indicated that the GBL model assisted by JELAJAH media had a significant effect on improving students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration skills. Therefore, the GBL model assisted by JELAJAH media is effective in improving the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools, particularly in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and collaboration skills.

Abstract

The development of learning in the digital era requires instructional media that are not only engaging but also capable of enhancing students’ logical thinking skills at the elementary school level. However, classroom observations in Grade II revealed that students’ logical thinking abilities remain limited, particularly in understanding and using simple vocabulary, as well as teachers’ constraints in utilizing appropriate digital learning media. This study aimed to develop an educational game oriented toward logical thinking skills for Grade II elementary school students and to determine the validity and practicality of the developed product. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The developed product is a web-based educational game created using the Interacty platform, featuring Indonesian language vocabulary related to the school environment and game activities designed based on logical thinking indicators. Data were collected through expert validation sheets (content, language, and media experts) and response questionnaires from teachers and students. The results indicate that the developed educational game achieved a very high level of validity and was categorized as practical for classroom use. Therefore, the educational game is feasible to be implemented as a learning medium to support the development of logical thinking skills among Grade II elementary school students.

Abstract

This study discusses inclusive education management through the implementation of responsive classroom management for students with special needs. Inclusive education in regular schools requires adaptive, equitable, and responsive learning management to address the diverse needs of students, making effective classroom-level management essential. This study aims to analyze the concepts, principles, and strategies of responsive classroom management as part of inclusive education management and its role in supporting effective learning for students with special needs. The research employed a qualitative approach using a library research method. Data were obtained through a systematic review of relevant literature, including academic books, national and international journal articles, educational regulations, and policy documents related to inclusive education and classroom management. Data analysis was conducted by reviewing, categorizing, comparing, and synthesizing conceptual findings from the literature to develop a comprehensive and systematic understanding. The findings indicate that responsive classroom management in inclusive education is characterized by the principles of equity and individualization, differentiated instruction, structured and consistent classroom routines, positive behavior reinforcement, multiparty collaboration, and the use of adaptive learning resources. The application of responsive classroom management contributes to the creation of a conducive learning environment, increased student engagement, and the support of academic as well as socio-emotional development of students with special needs. This study concludes that responsive classroom management plays a strategic role in strengthening inclusive education management and should be used as a foundational approach in planning and managing learning processes in inclusive schools.

Abstract

This study examines the classification of ḥadīth authenticity ṣaḥīḥ, ḥasan, ḍaʿīf, and mawḍūʿ (fabricated) as a fundamental framework for determining the evidentiary authority of prophetic reports in Islamic scholarship. The study is motivated by the persistent circulation and use of ḥadīths without adequate verification in academic discussions, religious instruction, and digital platforms, which may lead to inaccurate religious conclusions. The aims of this research are to: (1) explain the definitions and criteria of each ḥadīth category based on the principles of muṣṭalaḥ al-ḥadīth; (2) identify major factors contributing to ḥadīth weakness and the emergence of fabricated reports; and (3) map the implications of each category’s authority (ḥujjiyyah) for legal reasoning and the reinforcement of Islamic values. This research employs a library based (literature) method with descriptive analytical and comparative approaches by reviewing primary classical works of ḥadīth methodology along with relevant supporting studies. The findings indicate that ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīths fulfill the requirements of uninterrupted chains of transmission, transmitter integrity and precision, and freedom from irregularity (shudhūdh) and hidden defects (ʿillah). Ḥasan ḥadīths meet similar criteria but with a lower level of transmitter precision compared to ṣaḥīḥ. Ḍaʿīf ḥadīths result from the failure to satisfy one or more acceptance conditions in either the chain (isnād) or the text (matn). Mawḍūʿ reports are fabricated and therefore cannot be used as evidence; disseminating them without clarifying their status is religiously impermissible. The study recommends strengthening ḥadīth verification literacy through consistent application of isnād and matn criticism and the use of authoritative references to ensure responsible and accurate utilization of ḥadīth in education, preaching, and research.

Abstract

Adolescence is a period of cognitive development that shows an increase in memory capacity and information processing ability, making it the right phase to optimize memorization activities. This condition is relevant to the learning of foreign languages, especially Arabic, which requires mastery of mufrodat as the basis for language competence. This study aims to explain the urgency of utilizing adolescent golden age in mastering foreign languages in secondary school students through psychological, sociological and linguistic perspectives. The method used is a literature study by examining the theory of cognitive development, learning characteristics, and social factors that affect language acquisition, such as the learning environment, peer interaction, motivation, and teacher teaching patterns. The results of the study show that the ability to memorize in adolescence contributes significantly to the improvement of vocabulary mastery, and its effectiveness is influenced by the social conditions surrounding the learning process. The implications of this study emphasize the need for a learning strategy that integrates adolescents' cognitive potential with the support of the social environment so that Arabic language mastery in secondary students can develop more optimally.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the implementation of naturalistic intelligence-based media in developing early childhood language skills at YWKA Kindergarten in Padang City. Naturalistic intelligence is the ability to recognize, categorize, and utilize natural elements that can be integrated into language learning through eco-literacy media. The research employed mixed methods with a case study approach involving 15 students in one class. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and language proficiency tests. The results showed that the implementation of naturalistic intelligence-based media had a significant impact on improving children's speaking, listening, and vocabulary skills with an average increase of 78.67%. Learning media utilizing natural elements such as plants, animals, and natural phenomena were able to stimulate children's learning interest and active participation in language activities. This study recommends the integration of eco-literacy in early childhood education curriculum as a holistic and meaningful language development strategy. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi media berbasis kecerdasan naturalis dalam mengembangkan kemampuan bahasa anak usia dini di TK YWKA Kota Padang. Kecerdasan naturalis merupakan kemampuan mengenali, mengkategorikan, dan memanfaatkan elemen-elemen alam yang dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa melalui media eco-literacy. Penelitian menggunakan mixed methods dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada 15 peserta didik di satu kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan tes kemampuan bahasa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi media berbasis kecerdasan naturalis memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berbicara, menyimak, dan kosakata anak dengan rata-rata peningkatan 78,67%. Media pembelajaran yang memanfaatkan elemen alam seperti tanaman, hewan, dan fenomena alam mampu merangsang minat belajar dan partisipasi aktif anak dalam kegiatan berbahasa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi eco-literacy dalam kurikulum pendidikan anak usia dini sebagai strategi pengembangan bahasa yang holistik dan bermakna.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education faces the challenges of increasing exclusivism, intolerance, and radicalism, often rooted in a textual and less contextual understanding of religion. This situation demands a reconstruction of the Islamic Religious Education curriculum that is not only oriented towards the transfer of normative knowledge, but also towards the internalization of the values of compassion (love), humanity, and religious moderation. This study aims to analyze and formulate the construction of a love curriculum in Islamic Religious Education through a synthesis of contextual Qur'anic interpretations and the principles of religious moderation in learning. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data collection techniques are carried out through the search and analysis of primary and secondary sources in the form of tafsir books, books, and relevant scientific journal articles. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity is maintained through source and theory triangulation techniques. The results of the study indicate that the love curriculum in Islamic Religious Education can be constructed by emphasizing the values of mercy, justice, tolerance, and respect for diversity as the foundation of learning. The integration of contextual interpretation and religious moderation can provide humanistic, inclusive, and transformative Islamic Religious Education learning, thereby contributing to the formation of moderate-minded students oriented toward social peace.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Deep Learning approach on students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning at the elementary school level. Learning conditions that focus on the lecture method have caused students’ critical thinking skills in understanding IPAS to be underdeveloped, which became the background of this study. The research population included all sixth-grade students in classes VI-A and VI-B, totalling 60 students. This study employed a quantitative quasi-experimental design using a Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The research instruments applied are pre-tests and post-tests in the form of multiple choice questions. Data analysis was carried out through several tests, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, Independent sample T-Test t-tests, and N-Gain tests with the support of SPSS version 25. The collected data showed that the t-test produced a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.001 <0.05, so Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. This is supported by the results of the N-Gain test, which showed an average score of 79.85 for the experimental group, equivalent to 80%, categorized as effective. This demonstrates that the deep learning approach impacts students' critical thinking skills in IPAS learning for Grade VI student at SD Negeri Laden 1 Pamekasan.

Abstract

The low level of literacy understanding among elementary school students remains a serious problem. This is due to a lack of contextual mathematics learning and a failure to connect number concepts to students’ everyday financial experiences. This condition makes it difficult for students to apply basic mathematical concepts in money management, such as saving, comparing prices, and planning expenses. This study aims to explore the process of financial literacy construction in students through the application of PMR (Realistic Mathematics Learning) utilizing everyday financial contexts as teaching resources and emphasizing mathematical activities based on real-world experiences. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design, where data sources consisted of school teachers and students involved in everyday financial learning. Data collection techniques included classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of student activities. The collected data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, comprising data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicated that PMR facilitates the construction of students’ financial literacy, reflected in three dimensions: (1) knowledge through mathematical modeling and financial record-keeping skills; (2) skills through the application of arithmetic operations and opportunity cost analysis in budget planning; and (3) attitudes through the development of key financial priorities and savings awareness. This construction was developed through mathematical modeling, interactive group discussions, and the transformation of concrete experiences into formal representations. Social interaction and teacher scaffolding were crucial factors in developing understanding, attitudes, and simple financial decision-making skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Edpuzzle pada pembelajaran IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) subtema bagian tumbuh-tumbuhan untuk siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar serta mengkaji kelayakannya secara konseptual dan prosedural. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran IPAS yang disebabkan oleh dominannya penggunaan media pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang interaktif. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dikembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis video interaktif guna mendukung pembelajaran yang aktif dan berpusat pada siswa sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 25 siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 80/I Muara Bulian. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, angket validasi ahli, dan angket respons siswa. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Edpuzzle yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak secara konseptual berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi dan ahli media dengan kategori sangat valid. Secara prosedural, media ini juga dinilai layak dari aspek kepraktisan dan efektivitas, yang ditunjukkan melalui respons positif siswa serta meningkatnya keterlibatan dan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi bagian tumbuh-tumbuhan. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Edpuzzle dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran IPAS yang inovatif, sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa sekolah dasar, serta mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka.
