Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods in improving students’ Qur’anic memorization at Pondok Pesantren Mutiara Ilmu, Jambi City. The Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods are Qur’anic memorization approaches that emphasize the addition of new memorization, reinforcement of recent memorization, and continuous maintenance of previously memorized portions. This research employed a qualitative approach with a field research design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consisted of tahfidz instructors and students of the tahfidz program at Pondok Pesantren Mutiara Ilmu, Jambi City. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods at Pondok Pesantren Mutiara Ilmu, Jambi City has been carried out systematically, in a structured manner, and continuously. The Sabaq method is implemented daily as an effort to increase new memorization, the Sabqi method is applied to strengthen previously acquired memorization so that it is not easily forgotten, while the Manzil method is conducted as a weekly tasmi’ to maintain and stabilize earlier memorization. These three methods complement each other in maintaining a balance between the quantity and quality of students’ memorization. Memorization evaluation is carried out daily, weekly, and at the end of each semester to ensure fluency, accuracy of recitation, and consistency in memorization. Although several obstacles were found in the implementation of the methods, such as limitations in time management, students’ boredom, and differences in memorization abilities, overall the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods proved to be effective in improving students’ Qur’anic memorization. This study concludes that the implementation of the Sabaq, Sabqi, and Manzil methods is able to produce students’ memorization that is more mutqin (strong and well-retained) and sustainable in the long term.

Abstract

Based on the results of observation activities on eighth grade students at Alhuda Junior High School Semarang, it was found that the level of students' problem-solving abilities, especially in SPLDV material, was still minimal. The main cause was that the learning media used by teachers tended to be conventional and did not sufficiently integrate mathematical concepts into students' daily realities. This study aimed to develop Rail-Math interactive learning media oriented to Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) on SPLDV material while assessing its level of validity in supporting students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Rail-Math media was developed in the form of a digital module presented through a flipbook format to increase students' active involvement in learning. This study used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the stages of defining, designing, and developing. Product validation was carried out by material experts and media experts through a Likert-sized quantitative instrument, supplemented by qualitative input. The validation results showed an average score of 3.63 for material experts and 3.61 for media experts, included in the very valid category. Thus, Rail-Math was declared worthy of being used as an innovative media that is relevant to SPLDV material and has the potential to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences and the effect of the use of the Game-Based Learning model assisted by shooting board media on elementary school students’ conceptual understanding. This study was motivated by the low level of conceptual understanding among second-grade students at SD Negeri Karangjati 04, which was caused by the use of conventional learning models and less varied instructional media. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The research subjects consisted of students in class IIA as the experimental group and class IIB as the control group, with a total of 40 students. Data collection techniques included conceptual understanding tests, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through prerequisite tests, including normality and homogeneity tests, followed by an independent sample t-test and simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference in students’ conceptual understanding between those who were taught using the Game-Based Learning model assisted by shooting board media and those who received conventional instruction. Furthermore, the regression analysis indicated that the Game-Based Learning model assisted by shooting board media had a significant effect on students’ conceptual understanding. Therefore, the Game-Based Learning model assisted by shooting board media is effective in improving elementary school students’ conceptual understanding, particularly at the lower grade level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the collaborative and independent character of elementary school students in the learning process at SDN 112/I Perumnas. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design to obtain an in-depth understanding of character development within an authentic learning context. Data were collected through classroom observations, semi-structured interviews with classroom teachers, and documentation analysis. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative data analysis techniques, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that students’ collaborative character developed through learning activities involving group discussions, cooperation in completing tasks, communication among students, and mutual respect for differing opinions. Meanwhile, students’ independent character was reflected in their ability to complete tasks responsibly, demonstrate learning initiative, and manage their own learning processes without excessive dependence on the teacher. These findings show that the learning process provides meaningful opportunities for the development of collaborative and independent character among students. Therefore, integrating character development into learning activities plays an important role in strengthening character education in elementary schools in accordance with the direction of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using 3D interactive Student Worksheets (LKPD) with the theme of Indonesian culinary in strengthening the elements of recognizing and appreciating culture in students at SB At-Tanzil Malaysia. This type of research is quantitative descriptive with a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 10 elementary school students. Data were collected using a validated Likert-scale questionnaire and covered three main aspects, namely cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. The results showed an increase in the average score from 4.17 in the pretest to 4.55 in the posttest with an N-Gain value of 0.50 which is included in the moderate category. The normality test using Shapiro–Wilk showed that the data were normally distributed (p > 0.05), while the paired t-test showed a significant difference between before and after treatment (sig < 0.05). These results indicate that the use of 3D interactive LKPD is effective in improving students' understanding and appreciation of culture through physical activities such as cutting, folding, and sticking traditional culinary models. Theoretically, this research strengthens the concept of Ethnodigital Pedagogy in the form of non-digital manual media that can simultaneously integrate the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. Practically, the results of this study can serve as an alternative contextual learning medium to foster Indonesian identity and cultural pride in foreign schools
