Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to describe the implementation of deep learning on the Pancasila principles in the sixth grade of MI Tarbiyatul Akhlaq and to assess the achievement of the eight graduate profiles in the dimension of Faith and Devotion to God Almighty. The background of this research arises from the limited application of Pancasila values, which are often only memorized without being deeply internalized in students’ daily behavior. Through a deep learning approach, the learning process focuses on strengthening understanding of meaning, conceptual interconnection, and the application of divine values in real life. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, observation sheets, and documentation of sixth-grade students at MI Tarbiyatul Akhlaq. The results indicate that the implementation of deep learning improves students’ character in five aspects of morality: religious morality, personal morality, morality towards others, morality towards nature, and morality towards the nation. Teachers act as facilitators guiding students to connect divine values with real actions such as discipline in worship, responsibility, respect, environmental awareness, and patriotism. This learning model enables students not only to understand the Pancasila principles cognitively but also to internalize their values in daily life. Therefore, the deep learning model is effective in assessing and cultivating the eight graduate profiles of Pancasila, especially in the spiritual and moral dimensions within Islamic elementary education (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah).

MTs Al-Musaddadiyah Garut faced human resource management challenges characterized by incidental practices, unsystematic teacher evaluations, and declining student learning outcomes and motivation during the 2022-2023 period. This study aims to analyze the influence of Human Resource Management (HRM) on Teacher Performance and its impact on Student Learning Outcomes. A quantitative method with a survey approach was employed, using a saturated sample of 30 teachers. Data were analyzed using the SEM-PLS model via SmartPLS4 software. The results indicate that HRM has a positive and significant effect on Teacher Performance and a direct impact on Student Learning Outcomes. Furthermore, Teacher Performance significantly influences student achievement. These findings validate that optimal HR management is the primary key to enhancing teacher professionalism and the overall quality of madrasah graduates. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture on teacher competence and its implications for realizing teacher performance at Garut Islamic School Prima Insani. The research employed a quantitative approach using descriptive-analytical methods and path analysis. The population consisted of 52 teachers selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The findings demonstrate that organizational culture significantly influences teacher competence by 61.4%, teacher competence significantly influences teacher performance by 76.9%, and organizational culture significantly influences teacher performance by 72.9%. These results highlight the importance of strengthening organizational culture and enhancing teacher competence to improve teacher performance.

Improving the quality of education is a strategic challenge for madrasahs amid globalization and national education policy. Madrasahs are not only required to excel academically, but also to shape students’ character and spirituality. MA Darul Arqam Putri Garut, as a pesantren-based madrasah, seeks to integrate Islamic values with 21st-century competencies. However, obstacles remain in program implementation consistency, monitoring and evaluation systems, and the relevance of teacher training to classroom practices. This study aims to analyze the management of madrasah quality improvement strategies, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and the role of leadership and institutional collaboration. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study method through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that quality improvement strategies have been systematically designed and supported by teacher training, academic supervision, and collaboration with LP2M Muhammadiyah. Nevertheless, effectiveness has not been optimal due to weak continuous monitoring and limited follow-up supervision. Strengthening data-based strategic management and continuous evaluation is essential to improve madrasah quality.

This study aims to describe the forms of politeness used in interactions between lecturers and students in the Indonesian Language Education Study Program at the University of Muhammadiyah Bone. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main theory of the principle of politeness from leech. The research data are in the form of lecturers' and students' utterances that occur in the learning process of poetry appreciation courses. Data collection techniques include observation, conversation recaps. The results of the study indicate that the forms of politeness in the interactions of lecturers and students include the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of humility, the maxim of praise, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of sympathy. This study is expected to be a reference in understanding the importance of language ethics in academic environments, as well as contributing to pragmatic studies in the field of education.

This study aims to analyze the influence of teacher competence on teacher work motivation and its impact on learning effectiveness at Garut Islamic School Prima Insani Elementary School. This quantitative study used a survey method involving 52 teachers. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using linear regression. The results showed that teacher competence significantly influenced teacher work motivation, and work motivation significantly influenced learning effectiveness. These findings indicate that increasing teacher competence can directly or indirectly improve learning effectiveness through increased work motivation. The research instrument was a 1–5 Likert scale questionnaire that measured teacher competence, work motivation, and learning effectiveness. The analysis results showed that teacher competence significantly influenced teacher work motivation. Work motivation also significantly influenced learning effectiveness. Thus, work motivation is a mediating variable that links teacher competence with learning effectiveness. This study confirms that increasing teacher competence directly and indirectly impacts the quality of learning.

This studyaims to create YouTube video-based learning materials for teachinganecdotal texts to students at SMK Swasta 1 Parulian Medan. The approach usedis Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which includesthe stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the mini research show that traditional learning methods are not entirely effectivein improving student understanding. Learning materials designed through the integration ofYouTube videos have been proven to be effective in increasing student motivation and understanding ofanecdotal texts. Product evaluation shows the suitability of the media and its efficiency inimproving learning outcomes. The results of this study emphasize the importance of utilizingdigital media in teaching Indonesian language in vocational schools.

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of suboptimal student learning achievement at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, which is characterized by a downward trend in academic attainment alongside low student motivation and affective development. This condition indicates that the implementation of guidance and counseling service policies has not been optimally integrated into learning management. The study aims to analyze the influence of guidance and counseling service policy implementation on learning management, the influence of these policies on learning achievement, and the influence of learning management on student learning achievement. The research method employed is a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consists of all teachers at MTs Al-Musaddadiyah Garut, with a total sampling of 30 respondents. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via the SmartPLS application. The results show that the implementation of guidance and counseling service policies has a positive and significant effect on both learning management and student learning achievement. Furthermore, learning management is proven to have a positive and significant effect on student learning achievement. The coefficient of determination (R²) values of 0.630 for learning management and 0.730 for learning achievement indicate that the model possesses strong explanatory power. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the effective integration of guidance and counseling services within learning management is crucial for improving student learning achievement holistically. It is recommended to strengthen the collaboration between subject teachers and guidance counselors as a key strategy in madrasah educational management.

This study aims to analyze the effect of student management on the development of religious culture and its implications for students’ learning achievement at SDIT Garut Islamic School Prima Insani. A quantitative approach with a survey method was employed. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 52 teachers and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that student management has a positive and significant effect on religious culture development and students’ learning achievement. Furthermore, religious culture development also has a positive and significant effect on students’ learning achievement. Mediation analysis reveals that religious culture development partially mediates the relationship between student management and students’ learning achievement. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating effective student management with religious culture development as a strategic approach to enhancing students’ learning achievement holistically

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the forms of politeness in student discussions. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive design. Data collection techniques include observation, notes, and recording the forms and functions of politeness expressed in student discussions. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data transcription, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the forms of politeness in the classroom have fulfilled the six maxims starting from the maxim of wisdom/wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise/appreciation, the maxim of humility/simplicity, the maxim of agreement/agreement and the maxim of sympathy. However, it was revealed that the maxim of generosity was the most frequently found in student speech while the maxim of humility was the least found. Thus, it can be concluded that the class has fulfilled the overall impression of language, although it still needs to be strengthened on the maxim of humility.
