Abstract

This study aims to analyze the distribution mechanism and effectiveness of loans from PNM Mekaar Syariah, South Bontonompo Branch, Gowa Regency, in improving the economic welfare of the community in Pa'bundukang Village, South Bontonompo District, and to identify factors that influence the success of customers' micro-enterprises. The results of this study are expected to provide theoretical benefits as a reference in the development of Islamic economics, particularly related to microfinance-based poverty alleviation efforts, as well as practical benefits for PNM Mekaar Syariah in improving the quality of services and empowerment programs. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research informants consisted of active customers of PNM Mekaar Syariah and program managers. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to obtain a valid picture of changes in the economic and social conditions of the community before and after receiving financing. The results of the study indicate that capital loans from PNM Mekaar Syariah have a significant impact on improving community welfare. Economically, customers are able to develop businesses and increase household income. Socially, group-based financing encourages discipline and responsibility. However, there were challenges in repaying installments when business declined. Overall, this program has proven effective in supporting Sharia-based community economic empowerment.

Abstract

Language literacy stands as a fundamental competence that plays a pivotal role for early-grade students, serving as a cornerstone for success in subsequent educational stages. This study seeks to optimize the reading literacy skills of first-grade students at MI YAPPI Pijenan by implementing illustrated letter cards within the instructional process. The methodology employed is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted through two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. A total of 12 first-grade students participated as research subjects. To ensure data accuracy, the researcher utilized various instruments, including direct observation, initial reading assessments, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate a progressive improvement in the students' ability to identify letters, articulate letter sounds, and read both syllables and simple words. Furthermore, student motivation and engagement during learning activities showed a positive trend. Significant progress was recorded from the pre-intervention phase to Cycle II, with classical mastery exceeding the 75% threshold across all indicators. From a theoretical perspective, the effectiveness of these illustrated cards is supported by dual-coding theory and multimodal learning, which emphasize the integration of visual and verbal information during cognitive processing. In practice, this media has proven to be an effective, interactive, and applicable strategy for teaching reading to young learners. Ultimately, this study demonstrates that concrete visual media helps students bridge the gap between letters, sounds, and meanings, thereby strengthening their decoding skills while fostering self-confidence and active participation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and synthesize a model for utilizing folktales in developing cultural literacy among elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study is grounded in the need to strengthen cultural literacy amid globalization, which may erode students’ local identity. The method follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, including identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion stages of scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025 from various academic databases. A total of 15 selected articles were analyzed using content analysis and thematic synthesis techniques. The findings indicate that the use of folktales in learning can be conceptualized into three main components: cultural content, instructional strategies, and cultural literacy outcomes. Instructional strategies are classified into three categories: exploratory, reflective, and applicative, which systematically support the internalization of cultural values. This model results in three dimensions of cultural literacy: cultural knowledge, literacy skills, and cultural disposition. These findings highlight that folktales serve as an integrative, contextual, and effective learning medium in fostering cultural literacy among elementary school students. This study contributes to the development of a conceptual model of culturally responsive learning applicable to primary education.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and examine the magnitude of the influence of principals’ transformational leadership and teachers’ soft skills on teacher performance in Cluster 16 of Pondok Aren. This study employed a quantitative approach using a ques­tionnaire method to collect samples from the population of all teachers and princi­pals in Cluster 16, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang. A total of 152 respondents were selected as the research sample using a probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires based on a Likert scale. The data analysis tech­nique used was Smart PLS with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. The results of the hypothesis testing indicate that: (1) principals’ transformational lead­ership has a significant effect on teacher performance in elementary schools in Cluster 16, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, with a p-value of 0.008 < 0.05; (2) teachers’ soft skills have a significant effect on teacher performance in elementary schools in Cluster 16, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05; and (3) principals’ transformational leadership and teachers’ soft skills simultaneously have a significant effect on teacher performance in elementary schools in Cluster 16, Pondok Aren, South Tangerang, with a p-value of 0.000 < 0.05. The study concludes that principals’ transformational leadership and teachers’ soft skills significantly in­fluence teacher performance in Cluster 16 of Pondok Aren.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of student activeness and learning outcomes in the respiratory system topic, caused by teacher-centered learning and limited instructional media. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model through a lung capacity measurement practicum and its impact on student activeness and learning outcomes. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted at Pesantren Darut Thalibin Serdang Bedagai, involving eleventh-grade students and a biology teacher as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, as well as pretest and posttest. The results indicate that before the implementation of PjBL, students tended to be passive and had low understanding of the material. After the implementation of PjBL through practicum activities, students became more active, enthusiastic, and engaged in the learning process. In addition, there was an improvement in student learning outcomes as reflected in the comparison between pretest and posttest results. Therefore, the implementation of the PjBL model through lung capacity measurement practicum can enhance student activeness and learning outcomes in the respiratory system topic.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN Gandekan Surakarta. The subjects of this research were Grade V with 18 students. This research used quantitative research. The sampling and instrument testing were carried out with validity and reliability tests. The technique in data collection used prerequisite tests with the Shapiro-Wilk formula as an initial stage test and the hypothesis test used a paired sample t-test. After data analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the critical thinking skills of grade V before treatment and after treatment when applying picture puzzle learning media at SDN Gandekan. In the pretest activity, the mean was 47.22, the minimum value was 20 and the maximum was 80, while after treatment the mean was 68.33, the minimum value was 50 and the maximum value was 90. The results of data analysis for the paired sample t-test showed that there was a difference between the variables at the beginning and the variables at the end of the pretest and posttest. Paired Simple T-Test shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted because the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05 which proves that there is an influence of the use of picture puzzle learning media on critical thinking skills in mathematics subjects of grade V students at SDN Gandekan Surakarta.

Abstract

This study addresses the problem of abstract and textbook-centered IPAS learning in elementary schools, which results in low conceptual understanding and learning achievement, particularly in ecosystem topics. The study aims to examine the implementation of ecosystem learning based on Contextual Teaching andLearning (CTL), supported by the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) strategy and integrated with the Beepreneur Cilik program at SDN Mekar Sari. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted during the 2025 Thematic Community- Based Student Program of Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and supported by pre-test and post-test results. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ learning outcomes, with mastery learning increasing from 32% to 100%. Students demonstrated better understanding of ecosystem components, the ecological role of kelulut bees, and environmental sustainability. The integration of entrepreneurship activities also enhanced students’ creativity and environmental awareness. These results indicate that contextual IPAS learning integrated with local potential is effective and meaningful for elementary students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of fostering entrepreneurial intention among vocational high school students as an effort to prepare graduates who are not only ready to work but also capable of creating business opportunities. However, entrepreneurial intention among Grade XI MPLB students has not been evenly developed, so it is necessary to examine the factors that influence it. This study aimed to analyze the effect of self-efficacy, creativity, and learning environment on entrepreneurial intention among Grade XI MPLB students at SMK Negeri 4 Klaten. This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of 72 Grade XI MPLB students, all of whom were used as the sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a Likert scale and then analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS. The results showed that self-efficacy, creativity, and learning environment had a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Creativity was the most dominant variable with a path coefficient of 0.427, followed by learning environment with 0.424, and self-efficacy with 0.285. The R-square value of 0.555 indicated that these three variables were able to explain 55.5% of the variance in entrepreneurial intention. Thus, improving entrepreneurial intention among Grade XI MPLB students can be achieved through strengthening creativity, enhancing self-confidence, and creating a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of science learning outcomes through the use of TikTok social media as learning medium. This study uses a quantitative approach with the method used being a Quasi Eksperimental model One Group Pre-test Post-test. The research subjects consisted of one class. Data collection was carried out in the form Pre-test and Post-test to determine student’s abilities before and after the application of TikTok social media as a learning medium. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results of the study indicate that the use of TikTok social media in learning activities can improve student learning outcomes. The can be seen in the increase in student’s average score after being given treatment using TikTok social media compared to before using the media. Therefore, the researcher learning media that is interesting and effective in improving learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study explores the pedagogical readiness and learning innovations of prospective mathematics teachers in addressing the challenges of 21st-century education. The rapid advancement of technology and digitalization requires education to incorporate 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy, into the learning process. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the research participants consisting of 29 students from the Mathematics Education Program enrolled in the course "Mathematics Learning Strategies and Innovations." Data collection is conducted through the distribution of questionnaires and structured interviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of the readiness of prospective teachers. The study's findings indicate that prospective teachers possess a solid foundational understanding of pedagogical concepts but require further development in implementing innovative and adaptive teaching methods. Identified innovations in teaching include the use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approaches, which are seen as effective in fostering inclusive learning environments. Additionally, technologies like GeoGebra and Kahoot are utilized to enhance student interaction and engagement. Moreover, the incorporation of gamification and real-world context-based learning is viewed as crucial for boosting student motivation. These findings are expected to significantly contribute to preparing future mathematics teachers to serve as agents of change in the rapidly evolving educational landscape.
