Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Cooperative Learning model and student personality (introvert–extrovert) on student learning outcomes. The study used an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. Data analysis was performed using a two-way ANOVA test to determine the effect of each variable and the interaction between the learning model and personality. The results showed a significant effect of the Cooperative Learning model on learning outcomes, a significant effect of personality type on learning outcomes, and a significant interaction between the learning model and personality. This indicates that learning effectiveness depends on the combination of learning model and student personality type.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the deep learning approach on the graduate profile dimensions in the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject for Grade V students at SD Negeri 79 Gura. The study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design of the one-group initial questionnaire and final questionnaire type, involving 17 students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Paired Sample t-Test. The results revealed a significant improvement in students' average scores, rising from 45.41 (initial questionnaire) to 66.76 (final questionnaire), with the lowest score increasing from 38 to 64 and the highest score from 48 to 70. The Paired Sample t-Test yielded a t-value of 25.523 with a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.05), confirming the significant influence of the deep learning approach. Observations indicated positive development across graduate profile dimensions, particularly in faith and piety (89.22%), global citizenship (83.09%), critical reasoning (89.71%), and collaboration (92.16%). The deep learning approach proved effective in creating meaningful learning experiences, enhancing student engagement and conceptual understanding, and developing competencies aligned with the demands of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the hair perming technique using the mesh a mesh method on curl design outcomes through a qualitative literature study approach. The background of this research is based on the importance of technique in the hair perming process, which not only affects the shape of the curls but also determines the final results in terms of volume, neatness, and aesthetic impression.The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a literature study design, by reviewing various relevant previous studies, including scientific journals and books, that discuss hair design perming, alternating techniques, and the development of the mesh a mesh technique. Data were collected through documentation techniques and analyzed descriptively by identifying, classifying, and comparing information from various sources. The results show that the mesh a mesh technique has advantages in producing a more even distribution of curls, a more natural appearance, and more balanced volume compared to conventional techniques. The alternating hair sectioning pattern in this technique is also proven to create more flexible and less rigid curl results. In addition, understanding the technique is a key factor in the success of hair perming, as demonstrated in several previous studies. Thus, the mesh a mesh technique can be an effective alternative in hair design perming and is worthy of further development in both practice and research in the field of hair beauty.

Abstract

The low level of students' understanding in the subject of science at SDN Keboananom is due to limited learning receiving explanations from teachers, so a model is needed that is able to involve students through the Think Pair Share model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model assisted by Artificial Intelligence on the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students in the subject of science. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample determination used a random sampling technique by assigning V-A as the experimental class and V-C as the control class with a total of 28 students each. The research instrument was a posttest in the form of a description. Data analysis included the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and the Independent Samples T-Test hypothesis test. The results showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous and there were significant differences when tested t and tested the average. These findings indicate that the application of TPS assisted by Artificial Intelligence is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. In addition, it can be an alternative innovative learning to improve the quality of science learning and encourage student activeness. The implications of this research provide recommendations for teachers to integrate AI technology in a planned manner to make learning more adaptive, interactive, and student-centered, thereby sustainably developing 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Problem solving is a basic skill that is important for early childhood to have in carrying out daily activities. Therefore, interesting and innovative learning media are needed to help improve children's problem solving, one of which is through the media of coding books for kids. This study aims to determine what is needed in making coding books for kids to improve the problem solving skills of children aged 5-6 years, produce coding book media for kids that are suitable to improve problem solving of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten in Bahar Utara District, and determine teacher responses to coding book media for kids to improve problem solving of children aged 5-6 years in kindergarten in Bahar Utara District. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. Data were obtained through expert validation and teacher responses. The results of material expert validation were 97% and media expert validation were 85%. In addition, the results of the practicality test by teachers showed a percentage of 84.89% in the large group and 92.59% in the small group with very good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on students’ interest in learning Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) in the third grade at Langsa 3 Public Elementary School. The background of this study is based on the low level of student interest in learning, caused by the use of conventional teaching models, which results in students being less active and easily bored during the learning process. This study employs a quantitative approach using a posttest-only control group design. The population consists of all 40 third-grade students at Langsa State Elementary School 3, with the sample comprising Class IIIA as the experimental group and Class IIIB as the control group. Data collection utilized a learning interest questionnaire with a Likert scale that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using an independent samples t-test. The results indicate that students’ learning interest in third-grade IPAS instruction at Langsa State Elementary School 3 is significantly influenced by the implementation of the PBL model. The average score for the experimental class that implemented the PBL model was 55.35, while the score for the control class was 43.80. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can be considered a better alternative.

Abstract

This study aims to develop, determine the feasibility, and analyze the practicality of Augmented Reality-based learning media in the form of flashcards on the topic “Diversity in the Frame of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” particularly the sub-topic “Unity in Ethnic Diversity,” to improve students’ understanding of ethnic diversity in North Sumatra. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were students of class VII-A at UPT SMP Negeri 24 Medan. Data were collected through interviews, documentation, and questionnaires, while data analysis used feasibility and practicality tests. The feasibility test involved material experts and media experts to evaluate the suitability of the media in terms of content, appearance, and relevance to students’ needs. The results showed that the developed Augmented Reality-based flashcard media met the criteria of highly valid and highly practical. The validation results from material experts obtained an average score of 4.9 and media experts obtained 4.86, both categorized as highly valid. The practicality test by the teacher obtained a percentage of 93%, categorized as highly practical. Student responses also showed positive results, indicating that the developed media is feasible and practical to support the learning process.

Abstract

Educational financing is a crucial component in the implementation of education, playing a significant role in ensuring sustainability and improving educational quality. This study aims to analyze the sources of educational financing and their management from a management perspective. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative descriptive approach by analyzing various scientific references related to educational financing. The results indicate that educational funding sources come from the government, community, private sector/philanthropy, and internal institutional sources. Each source has different characteristics, requiring effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable management. Furthermore, several challenges exist, such as limited funding and low community participation. Therefore, strategies such as diversification of funding sources, strengthening partnerships, and innovation in financial management are necessary. This study is expected to contribute to the development of more optimal educational financial management. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of busy books on the fine motor skills of 45 year-old children at Bina Cakrawala Kindergarten PALI. The research method used in this study was a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique selected was purposive sampling. This study was conducted with 10 children aged 4–5 years at Bina Cakrawala PALI Kindergarten. The results of the data analysis showed that the calculated t-value was 0.76 and the critical t-value was 2.262. This indicates that the calculated t-value is greater than or equal to the critical t-value (0.76 ≥ 2.262); therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. In conclusion, there is an effect of the use of busy books on the fine motor skills of children aged 4–5 years at Bina Cakrawala Kindergarten PALI.

Abstract

The protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), particularly trademark rights, plays a crucial role in ensuring legal certainty and safeguarding business actors from unfair competition practices. This study aims to analyze the forms of legal protection granted to PT Gajah Duduk as the registered trademark holder and the legal consequences imposed on PT Pisma Abadi Jaya for trademark infringement of the “Gajah Duduk” brand. This research employs a normative juridical method using statutory and case approaches, analyzed qualitatively based on primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. The results indicate that legal protection for PT Gajah Duduk is provided through the first to file system as regulated under Law on Marks and Geographical Indications Number 20 of 2016, Such protection is preventive and repressive. In this case, PT Pisma Abadi Jaya was legally and convincingly proven guilty of trademark infringement based on a final and binding court decision up to the cassation level at Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia. The legal consequences include imprisonment, fines, and potential civil compensation claims. This study concludes that Indonesia’s trademark protection system has provided legal certainty for registered trademark holders.
