Abstract

The research problem of this study is the low perfomance of teachers in East Mesuji Sub-district. This study aims to analyze and determine the significant corelation between the colaborative leadership of school principals and the pedagogical competence on the performance of elementary school teachers. This research employed an ex-post facto design. The sample consist of 179 participants, including school participals and the teachers, who also represented the population of this research. The data were collected using a questionnaire based on a Likert-scale, which had been tested for the reliability and validity. The data analysis technique used in this study was multiple linear regression, calculated using SPSS program. The results showed that colaborative leadership of the school principals had a significant and negative effect om the performance of elementary school teaches. This indicated that the higher the teachers perception of colaborative leadership, the lower their performance. Meanwhile, the pedagogical competence did not have a significant effect of teachers' perfomance However, simultaneously, the collaborative leadership of school principals and pedagogical competence had a significant effect on the performance of elementary school teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Augmented Reality (AR)-based flashcard learning media to enhance the arabic speaking skills (maharah kalam) of students at SDIT As-Syifa Al Inayah 6 Kota Jambi. The ADDIE model was employed as the development framework, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The analysis stage revealed that students require interactive-visual media to support vocabulary comprehension and build speaking confidence. During the design and development phases, the AR flashcards were created by integrating images, 3D animations, and pronunciation audio. Expert validation results indicated a high level of feasibility, with a percentage 90%. Implementation with a small student group demonstrated a significant improvement in vocabulary mastery, pronunciation accuracy, and the ability to construct simple sentences. Summative evaluation confirmed that AR media fosters a more active, communicative, and engaging learning environment. Overall, AR flashcards proved to be effective in enhancing speaking skills and serve as an innovative alternative for teaching Arabic at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Creative Project and Entrepreneurship (PKK) subject in the Visual Communication Design (DKV) Department of SMK Negeri 1 Merangin as an effort to build students’ career independence. The PKK subject serves as a platform for developing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills through various applied projects that are relevant to the creative industry. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method to present the planning process, the implementation of learning activities, and the outcomes achieved by students through design-based projects. The results of the study show that the implementation of PKK in the DKV Department is conducted through various activities such as creating visual content, designing creative products, developing brand identity, and producing digital promotional media. Teachers, department coordinators, and students play active roles in each stage—from generating ideas and managing production, to simple marketing practices and product evaluation. Through project-based learning, students gain hands-on experience in developing creative products, working collaboratively, managing time, and identifying business opportunities within the design industry. Positive impacts of the implementation include improved managerial abilities, increased creativity and confidence in producing original work, and stronger motivation to build independent careers as designers or entrepreneurs in the creative sector. Additionally, these project activities help strengthen students’ independence, responsibility, and entrepreneurial mindset as essential competencies for entering the workforce and exploring future business opportunities.

Abstract

This study examines students’ self-efficacy in relation to artifact creation within a Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach in a fully online distance higher education context. In online learning environments, fostering learners’ confidence in their ability to successfully complete academic tasks are pivotal for sustaining engagement and persistence. A mixed-method sequential exploratory design was employed. The qualitative phase explored students’ experiences in completing project-based assignments that required the creation of learning artifacts. These findings informed the development of a quantitative pilot survey administered to 38 students, measuring motivation, perceptions of project-based learning, and self-efficacy using a Likert-scale instrument. Descriptive results indicate that students reported high levels of self-efficacy (M = 4.11, SD = 0.48), alongside strong motivation (M = 4.15, SD = 0.43) and highly positive perceptions of project-based tasks (M = 4.50, SD = 0.49). Correlation analysis revealed that self-efficacy was strongly associated with motivation (r = .738, p < .001) and moderately associated with perceptions of project-based learning (r = .539, p = .001). Regression analysis further showed that motivation significantly predicted self-efficacy (β = 0.900, p < .001), while perception of project-based tasks did not independently predict self-efficacy when controlling for motivation. These findings suggest that while artifact creation through PjBL is positively associated with students’ self-efficacy, this relationship is strongly mediated by students’ motivational engagement. The study contributes to understanding self-efficacy in fully online distance education and highlights the importance of designing project-based learning environments that simultaneously support meaningful task engagement and learner motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to teachers’ efforts to improve students’ tartil Qur’an recitation through the implementation of the Qiroati method at Bumrungsuksa Islamic Boarding School in Southern Thailand. This study employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in three cycles, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were Qur’an teachers and students involved in the Qur’an learning process using the Qiroati method. Data were collected through observation, tests of Qur’an reading ability, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Qiroati method can improve students’ ability to read the Qur’an in a tartil manner. This improvement is reflected in the students’ learning outcomes in each cycle, increasing from 58% in the pre-cycle, to 68% in Cycle I, 78% in Cycle II, and reaching 88% in Cycle III. The improvement occurred because the learning process was conducted gradually through structured Qiroati levels, supported by individual guidance, regular reading practice, periodic evaluation, and learning motivation. Although several obstacles were encountered, such as differences in students’ initial abilities, limited instructional time, and language factors, teachers were able to overcome them through grouping students based on ability, providing additional practice, and utilizing audio media as a model for correct Qur’an recitation. Therefore, the Qiroati method is effective in improving students’ tartil Qur’an reading ability in accordance with tajwid rules.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN 16 Padang Besi, particularly in length and weight measurement material, where 58% of students had not yet reached the mastery criteria. The primary issues were the teacher-centered approach, monotonous methods, and the lack of interactive learning media. The objective of this study is to describe the improvement in students' learning outcomes through the implementation of the Snowball Throwing model assisted by Wordwall. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the cycle model by Kemmis and McTaggart. The results indicate that the application of this model can significantly improve students' learning outcomes. In Cycle I, Meeting II, the average knowledge score reached 75.76 with a mastery percentage of 62%. This improvement continued in the following cycle along with enhancements in learning execution. The conclusion is that the Snowball Throwing model assisted by Wordwall is effective in increasing student engagement and mathematics learning outcomes in lower grades.
