Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

Adult education in the digital era faces significant challenges and opportunities. With the rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT), the adult education system is undergoing a transformation, utilizing various digital platforms such as e-learning, educational apps, and social media. This study aims to explore the role of technology in adult education, particularly in the context of distance learning, digital divides, digital literacy, effective learning models, and policies necessary to maximize the potential of digital education. Technology has provided broader access for adults to obtain education relevant to their needs, although a digital divide still exists that hampers some individuals, especially in underserved areas. Distance learning offers essential flexibility for adult learners, but it requires strong digital literacy to fully utilize the available technology. Therefore, adult education must integrate digital literacy skills and experiential learning models that are relevant to their practical needs. This study also suggests the importance of policies supporting equitable access and improving digital literacy quality across different communities, to ensure that digital education is accessible to all adults in Indonesia.

This study aims to determine the influence of the school environment on the character formation of Grade VB students at SD Negeri 15 Buton. The school environment in this study encompasses physical, social, and academic aspects. The research method used is quantitative with a survey approach. Data collection techniques are conducted through questionnaires distributed to all Grade VB students and direct observation within the school premises. Furthermore, the data are analyzed using simple linear regression tests. The results indicate that the school environment has a significant influence on student character formation, especially in the aspects of discipline, responsibility, and cooperation. There is a significant influence of the school environment on student character formation by 89%. This proves that a more conducive school environment leads to better character development in students, particularly regarding the values of discipline and responsibility. The conclusion of this study is that the school environment plays a crucial role in the moral formation of students at SD Negeri 15 Buton.

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, antara lain rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Pembelajaran konvensional yang cenderung satu arah membuat siswa kurang aktif dan terbatas dalam mengonstruksi pemahaman konsep secara mandiri.Salah satu alternatif solusi adalah pemanfaatan media pembelajaran inovatif, seperti media puzzle, yang berpotensi meningkatkan motivasi, keterlibatan, serta kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa melalui aktivitas manipulatif dan kolaboratif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perencanaan pembelajaran menggunakan media puzzle terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 39 Kajai Pisik Kabupaten Agam, menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media puzzle terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest–posttest control group. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas V SD di Gugus VI Kecamatan Lubuk Basung Kabupaten Agam Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025.Sampel dipilih secara acak, yaitu kelas V SD Negeri 39 Kajai Pisik sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V SD Negeri 44 Padang Mardani sebagai kelas kontrol.Instrumen penelitian berupa tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media puzzle secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik. Hal ini dibuktikan melalui uji t dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 untuk kemampuan berpikir kritis dan uji korelasi Pearson dengan nilai signifikansi 0,009 < 0,05 untuk hasil belajar. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa media puzzle efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

The problem examined in this study is whether the learning outcomes of students who are taught using the Example Non-Example learning model differ from those who are taught using conventional learning methods. This study aims to determine whether there is a difference in students’ learning outcomes in poetry writing between those who apply the Example Non-Example model and those who use conventional learning models. The sample of this study was taken from two Grade X TBSM classes at SMK NU Kapetakan. Data collection was carried out using pretest and posttest results of students’ learning outcomes in poetry writing in the form of written works. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistics, as follows: (1) the learning outcomes of students in poetry writing who applied the Example Non-Example model (experimental class) achieved an average score of 84.44 with a standard deviation of 5.261; (2) the learning outcomes of students who applied the conventional learning model (control class) achieved an average score of 61 with a standard deviation of 5.568. The results show that students taught using the Example Non-Example model have higher learning outcomes compared to those taught using conventional learning methods.

This research is motivated by the low critical reasoning abilities of students in Pancasila Education learning in elementary schools due to the teacher-centered learning. This study aims to describe the application of the deep learning approach in developing students' critical reasoning. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation at SDN 75/I Pasar Terusan. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions with validity testing through triangulation. The results show that the deep learning approach is able to support the development of students' critical reasoning through meaningful and reflective learning. However, its implementation is not optimal due to limitations in time, teacher understanding, and supporting facilities.

The implementation of Indonesia's Kurikulum Merdeka highlights the urgency of differentiated learning to address student heterogeneity in Elementary Schools, particularly in Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS). However, there is a lack of systematic mapping regarding differentiated learning media specific to this context. This study aims to identify, evaluate, and synthesize evidence on differentiated learning media in IPAS at the elementary level. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) design following the PRISMA 2020 protocol, data were collected from six databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar, ERIC, Garuda, SINTA) published between 2015 and 2025. Fifteen studies met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed using narrative synthesis and thematic analysis. Results indicate that digital media dominates (66.7%), particularly Google Sites and Augmented Reality. These media significantly improve cognitive understanding (20–45% increase), psychomotor skills, and affective domains, with motivation rising up to 93%. Successful implementation relies on teacher competence (TPACK) and infrastructure availability, though challenges persist in remote areas. This review concludes that differentiated media is a strategic instrument for inclusive IPAS learning, recommending future development of adaptive AI-based media and stronger teacher training.

This study discusses the effect of using the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning on students’ learning motivation at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. The background of this study is the low level of students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning. Therefore, innovative learning media that are interesting, interactive, and in line with technological developments are needed, one of which is the use of the Quizizz application.The objectives of this study are: (1) to determine whether the use of the Quizizz application affects students’ learning motivation at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang; (2) to describe the level of students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang; and (3) to analyze the effect of the use of the Quizizz application on students’ learning motivation in Islamic Cultural History learning at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang.This study employed a quantitative approach. The research was conducted at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. The population of this study consisted of all seventh-grade students, while the sample was selected using the Stratified Cluster Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires, and the data were analyzed using SPSS for Windows with simple linear regression analysis. The results of the study show that: (1) the use of the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning is categorized as moderate, as indicated by the highest distribution of respondents’ answers in the “undecided” category, totaling 19 students (35.1%); (2) the level of students’ learning motivation is also categorized as moderate, indicated by the highest distribution of respondents’ answers in the “undecided” category, totaling 20 students (36.9%); and (3) there is a significant effect of the use of the Quizizz application in Islamic Cultural History learning on students’ learning motivation of seventh-grade students at MTs. Salafiyah Syafi’iyah Tebuireng Jombang. This is evidenced by the t-test results (significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and t-count of 4.249 > t-table of 1.67469), indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected.

This study was motivated by the low problem-solving ability of students in mathematics learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level. Teacher-centered learning practices often limit students’ opportunities to engage with contextual problems and develop independent problem-solving strategies. Therefore, an innovative learning model supported by digital media is needed to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes. This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media on the problem-solving ability of sixth-grade students in mathematics learning at MI Ibrohim Assamarqondi in the 2025/2026 academic year.This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The population consisted of all sixth-grade students of MI Ibrohim Assamarqondi, totaling 28 students. The sample was divided into two groups: the experimental group, which received instruction using the PBL model assisted by Wordwall media, and the control group, which received conventional learning. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation. The data were analyzed using statistical techniques to determine differences in students’ problem-solving abilities before and after the treatment.The results are expected to indicate that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media has a positive effect on students’ problem-solving abilities. This learning model encourages students to think critically, actively participate in the learning process, and systematically solve mathematical problems.

This study aims to analyze the issue of school dropout in underdeveloped areas and examine the implementation of transformative education as a strategy to reduce dropout rates in Jember Regency, East Java. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted in several districts with low educational participation rates. The research subjects include teachers, students, principals, parents, and local education authorities. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings reveal that the main factors contributing to school dropout include family economic conditions, low learning motivation, limited access to education, and the lack of curriculum relevance to local contexts. The implementation of transformative education through contextual learning, dialogical teaching methods, and community involvement has proven to enhance students’ motivation, critical awareness, and participation in education. Therefore, transformative education can serve as an effective approach to addressing dropout issues in underdeveloped areas by empowering individuals and communities in a sustainable manner.

Thisistudyiaimsitoidescribe the strategies of the Scout Movement in enhancing students’ religious awareness at SMA Negeri 1 Pasarwajo, asiwellias toiexamine the impact of these strategies on the improvement of students’ religious awareness. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with the main informants being students who actively participate in Scout activities. Dataiwereicollected throughiobservation and interviews, iand then analyzedithroughistagesiofidata cleaning, processing, presentation, iandiconclusionidrawing. Theifindings indicate that in fostering religious awareness, the Scout Movement implements four main strategies: religious habituation, role modeling by scout leaders, activity integration, and character and attitude development, all of which are applied in an integrated manner across activities.
