Abstract

This study aims to identify whether the use of Chatgpt can increase students’ learning motivation and how it influences students’ understanding of the taught material. This research is an experimental study conducted by applying Chatgpt to improve students’ learning motivation. The population and sample of this study consisted of one class with a total of 24 students’. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The date collection techniques in this study were a learning motivation questionnaire consisting of 15 essay questions. The instruments werw first tested for validity, and item difficulty level. The date analysis techniques used were descriptive statistics, prerequisite analysis tests, and hypothesis testing. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that: (1) there was a positive and significant effect of Chatgpt usage in increasing students’ learning motivation, with a significance value (5.432>1.717) and (2) there was a positive and significance value of (0.000<0.05) and significancteffect of Chatgpt usage in increasing students’ learning motivation, with a significance value of (0.000 < 0.05) and a t-count greater than the t-table value (4.256>1.717). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of Chatgpt has a positive and significant effect on increasing the learning motivation of class IX B students’ in the Islamic religious education subject at SMP Negeri 7 Buton

Abstract

The STIAMI Institute of Social Sciences and Management, as one of the private universities under LLDIKTI Region III Jakarta, utilizes Instagram social media as a digital promotion tool and relies on the power of Word of Mouth from students and alumni to reach prospective new students. Despite various strategies being implemented, data shows fluctuations in the number of new students over the past three years, indicating the need for an evaluation of the effectiveness of these strategies. This study aims to analyze the influence of Instagram social media promotion and Word of Mouth on the decision-making process of new students in choosing a study program at STIAMI Institute. The research method employed in this study is descriptive quantitative research using accidental sampling. The sample consists of 95 new students from STIAMI Institute 2024, drawn from a population of 1,788. The results indicate that Instagram social media promotion and Word of Mouth have a positive influence on the decision-making process for choosing a study program, with a t-value of 13.950 > t-table 1.986 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The variable of Instagram social media promotion has a coefficient of determination of 67.7%, while Word of Mouth has a t-value of 15.292 > t-table 1.986 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, with a coefficient of determination of 71.5%. The F-value is 166.905 > F-table 3.10, with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, and a coefficient of determination of 78.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the reading and writing skills of fourth-grade students at Ngedukelu Elementary School through the implementation of child-friendly reading materials based on ethnoscience. Literacy is a key foundation for student learning success in elementary school. However, initial observations indicate that most students still experience difficulties in reading comprehension, expressing ideas, and writing coherently. The reading materials used to date are general and lack contextualization with local culture or daily life. Therefore, this study offers an innovative solution by integrating the local wisdom of the Ngada community, particularly the Ngadhu-Bhaga tradition, into child-friendly reading materials that are appropriate for students' cognitive and psychological development. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR), with two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects were 14 fourth-grade students at Ngedukelu Elementary School. The research instruments included observation sheets, a reading interest questionnaire, and a literacy test. Data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative methods to determine improvements in students' reading and writing skills. The results showed significant improvements in both quantitative and qualitative aspects. In the pre-cycle, the average student reading and writing literacy score was 65.7, with a classical completion rate of 21.4%. After implementing ethnoscience-based reading materials in cycle I, the average score increased to 70.0, with a classical completion rate of 64.3%. In cycle II, reading achieved 85.7% completion, and writing reached 78.6%. Qualitative improvements were evident in students' increased motivation to read, active involvement in group discussions, and ability to write summaries and simple texts in their own words. Thus, this study demonstrates that implementing ethnoscience-based child-friendly reading materials is effective in improving elementary school students' reading and writing literacy. The novelty of this research lies in its holistic focus on reading and writing literacy and specific local contextualization, thus making a significant contribution to the development of local culture-based literacy relevant to students' lives.

Abstract

Gender inequality and stereotypes in basic education practices still have the potential to hinder the optimal development of students. This research is based on the concept of gender mainstreaming and inclusive education theory, which emphasizes the principles of social justice, equal participation, and the elimination of discrimination in the school environment. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of gender-responsive schools at SDN Kedungkendo Candi Sidoarjo and identify factors that support its sustainability. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies with purposively selected principals. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions using triangulation techniques to ensure validity. The results show that the value of gender equality has been internalized in the school culture, reflected in equal leadership opportunities, the division of tasks without stereotypes, active participation in learning and extracurricular activities, and the provision of facilities that support the comfort and safety of all students. In addition, the principal's leadership support, collaboration between teachers, and partnerships with parents and external parties are important factors in strengthening the consistency of the implementation of equality values. Although not yet fully implemented in specific written policies, ongoing practice shows that gender-responsive schools can be built through habituation, role models, and the collective commitment of school residents in creating a fair, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) media in science and social studies (IPAS) learning using the Assemblr Edu application for fourth-grade students at SD Kadipiro Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. The use of technology-based learning media is expected to enhance students’ interest and understanding of abstract learning materials. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the fourth-grade teacher and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) media improves students’ learning interest, facilitates their understanding of abstract concepts, and creates a more interactive and engaging learning environment. It also assists teachers in delivering material more effectively. Therefore, Augmented Reality(AR) can serve as an alternative instructional media to support IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

The cultivation of religious character through Akidah Akhlak subjects is crucial in Islamic basic education institutions. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Washoya Book in strengthening religious literacy and its impact on the religious character of students at MI Plus Darussaadah Lirboyo Kediri. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of the Washoya Book is carried out through the planning of the Merdeka Curriculum integrated with the pesantren curriculum, using sorogan, ma'nai, and discussion methods. Evaluation is conducted periodically through mid-semester and end-of-semester exams. (2) The impact of using this book is an increase in students' religious literacy in reading Pegon Arabic texts and the internalization of religious character values such as obedience, politeness, and responsibility. This is strengthened by intensive supervision from assistant teachers. The integration of classical literature in formal primary education proves effective in building a strong religious foundation for students.

Abstract

This research is driven by the Merdeka Curriculum policy emphasizing the integration of local wisdom to strengthen the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly nationalism. Although efforts exist to incorporate Riau Malay local wisdom in social studies (IPS) teaching, no in-depth studies explore teachers' perceptions of this process, necessitating an investigation into supporting and inhibiting factors at school. The study aims to reveal teachers' responses, impressions, and perceptions based on their experiences with integrating Riau Malay local wisdom into IPS teaching modules. It benefits module development for contextual relevance, student appreciation of Riau Malay culture, and researcher skill-building in writing. Employing a qualitative phenomenological approach, the research was conducted at SDN 163 Pekanbaru, an A-accredited school with 29 teachers and 552 students implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. Data were gathered via interviews (covering teaching experiences, perceptions, integration experiences, barriers, and supports), observations (internal: motivation, understanding, attitude, initiative; external: learning resources, school support, teacher involvement, classroom conditions; professional: development competency, active methods, evaluation, modules, ethics), and documentation (topics, objectives, media, references, worksheets, assessments, module coherence). Findings show teachers recognize integration's importance, drawing on Riau Malay elements like cuisine, proverbs, geography, and crafts. They exhibit strong motivation, understanding, positive attitudes, diverse resources (images, videos), and school support. Challenges include limited deep knowledge, inadequate training, scarce integrated modules, and minimal collaboration. Teachers hold positive perceptions but stress readiness considerations. Recommendations include specialized training, resource development, routine teacher discussions, and school cultural programs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the use of animated video media on students’ learning interest in the IPAS subject for fourth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental research design using the one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study consisted of all fourth-grade students of SD MIT Fathrizk Pekanbaru. The sample of this study was class IVA students totaling 25 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques included descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using the paired sample t-test (t-test). The results of the study indicate that there was an increase in students’ learning interest after the use of animated video media in the learning process. Based on the descriptive statistical analysis, the average score of students’ learning interest increased from 10.88 in the pretest to 17.50 in the posttest after the implementation of animated video media in the learning process. The increase in the average score was 6.62 or approximately 60.84%. The results of the normality test showed that the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test indicated that the data were homogeneous. After fulfilling these prerequisite tests, hypothesis testing was conducted using the paired sample t-test. The results of the hypothesis test showed that the significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) was < 0.001, indicating that Ha was accepted and H₀ was rejected.

Abstract

Technological literacy has become an important competence in 21st century education. The rapid development of information and communication technology requires students to be able to utilize digital technology effectively in the learning process. This study aims to determine the level of technological literacy ability of tenth grade students in geography learning on atmospheric dynamics material and its influence on life at SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method. The population of this study was all tenth grade students totaling 146 students, while the sample consisted of 60 students selected using proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires based on Likert scale and analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques with percentage analysis. The results showed that students' technological literacy ability was in the sufficient category with an average percentage of 71%. The content indicator obtained 68%, the process indicator obtained 71%, the context indicator obtained 72%, and the attitude indicator obtained 74%. These findings indicate that students already have basic technological literacy skills, but their ability to critically evaluate digital information and optimally utilize technology for learning still needs improvement. Therefore, teachers need to integrate technology-based learning strategies to improve students’ technological literacy in geography learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan fisik/motorik adalah merupakan semua gerakan yang mungkin dilakukan oleh seluruh tubuh. Perkembangan motorik di artikan sebagai perkembangan dari unsur kematangan dan pengendalian gerak tubuh, dan perkembangan tersebut erat dengan kaitannya dengan perkembangan pusat motorik di otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh permainan bowling karakter terhadap kemampuan motorik kasar anak usia 5–6 tahun di TK Miftahul Jannah Rawang Binjai Kecamatan Pangean Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi eksperimen bentuk pre-test dan post-test control group design dengan jumlah sampel 20 anak yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi terstruktur berdasarkan indikator koordinasi mata dan tangan, keseimbangan tubuh, ketepatan lemparan, serta kekuatan dan kontrol gerak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor kemampuan motorik kasar kelompok eksperimen meningkat dari 29 pada pre-test menjadi 55,8 pada post-test, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat dari 23,7 menjadi 45,4. Hasil uji t menunjukkan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan bowling karakter berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar anak usia 5–6 tahun.
